Still crashy. Don’t waste your money
Still... Not joking when I say I think I managed to get one decent session in with this app in the year or longer I’ve owned it. Other than that One decent session, it’s just been crash, crash, samples not loading, crash, crash. Not a very good value when you do the math. I just tried again tonight, no better. I’m running a 2018 iPad Pro up to date - it’s not on my end. To see the dev patting themselves on the back for “keeping it updated for us” is laughable. It never worked in the time I’ve had it and it hasn’t had an update in over a year now so..... #abandonware Then again, I’m the ding dong who is fell for buying all the addons from this train wreck of a bug fest. Try beta testing your product next time or don’t bother Show more

Does it work with music editing software?
Can I use this as a midi in FL studio?

    Super dope Maschine-like beat app
If you need to sketch out your musical creations and you’re more sample based, Slicr is your go to app. Makes it super intuitive to make sick beats fast - and the provided stock samples are better and more relevant than anything else on the market My only complaint would be - Knxout has to come thru with that guest mix dawg. It’s literally been 6 months you’re killing me ? Show more

    Slick and slicey
Slicing part of app is great. UI is easy enough to use for slicing and the sequencing is a little weird but got the hang of it real quick. Developers I would like to see more ways to import Show more

    Good beatz
The app is cool I think it could use some kind of pattern sequencer with steps and better audio recording but it's good for slicing samples from your phone to get some good ideas going quick. I want to see more effects and more ways to slice other than the 3 modes. Show more

    Great ideas and good sounds
the sounds in this app are amazing. the ability to continue to expand your sound library with itunes and randomize features is great. I love being able to download my audio samples through dropbox too. fun app. made a few nice sounding loops so far. hope to do more and waiting for more updates! Show more

    Fun cheap and jammable
This app is a great buy and is so jammable. I love the new kit randomization feature so I can get slicing super quick. The Carmack sounds are really nice.

    Son of SP-404
As a prolific user of beat making & music apps, I’ll say there is no app in the store that combines the sampling + chopping workflow, pad-based beatmaking, and great factory sample library of Slicr. Many of the bugs that were present in earlier versions have been ironed out. Keep up the great work plz! Show more

    Improvements Needed
First, I would like to see a reverse fx added. (Flanger, filter, maximizer, saturation are all welcomed fx, as well. If too complicated to make great sounding fx, open your app up to allow users to use their own choice of fx apps to manipulate sounds.) Next, please make this UI more user-friendly. For instance, the “tutorial/help” button should be on top of every page. Users workflow is interrupted with way too many windows of having to backpedal to search for particular sounds. Please add a search bar to find sounds quicker. In GarageBand’s loop section, their sound library section is a good reference. Would be nice if we could access Spotify in the app, but I understand that may be complicated, legal-wise. Please allow AudioShare app, though, because there should be no legal issues related to it being accessed in this app. Lastly, there is no “Send” button to send questions after typing in your questions/concerns window and the email address does not work. I look forward to seeing improvements and thanks for considering suggestions of your users. Show more

    Love this app!
Been playing around with this app and I am amazed at how powerful it is! You can sample anything from your iTunes library, as well as record live samples and chop them up on the spot! This app is great for being creative on the go! Show more

    Garbage
I just wanted to use this app to slice songs but every time I try to load a song from my music library, the app just hangs. The UI is very unpolished and unintuitive. Waste of money. Show more

    Total Love/Hate
I love what they say this app can do. I hate that I never get a chance to use because it crashes, crashes, and more crashes. After choosing sounds it crashes, load a sound it crashes. Please help me understand why I would make such a awesome app but not fix it so I can use it. I really want my money back!! Show more

Could be a lot more than it is if it were just properly debugged
Seems like it could do a lot if it didn’t crash every few minutes. Also a lot of boneheaded oversights; for example, after giving access to everything it asked for, it said it didn’t have access, and to check the settings. What settings? There is no settings option on the menu. If you're going to charge people for your software, that makes you a professional, so act like a professional and debug this mess. Show more

Cool app easy Slicing and Chopping for ideas
I’m using this app to create beat ideas really quickly. It fits into my workflow well for getting ideas out. The built in sounds are great but the iTunes feature helps also! Show more

    Slice up samples on iPhone
No other app can sample your iTunes library and automatically generate slices on each pad. Great for chopping up samples! I had an issue with the app when I downloaded it, but customer service answered my email and fixed the bug in their next update. Great support! Show more

    Cool, but crashy.
Lots of good ideas in this app. Good layout. Good sounds. Update: the devs fixed the app, mostly. I can record now. It’s a very good idea. Much like an MPC in functionality. The slicing is pretty easy and you can slice to pads quickly. 4 banks of 16 pads allows for quite a bit of versatility. Effects are decent, and easy to assign to pads. You can pitch individual pads, or all of them at once, which is nice. Still has a few bugs. Quantization seems to be a tad spotty. Also crashed on me again, but not after recording. Was a different thing entirely. Really needs AudioShare compatibility. Only iTunes is supported currently. Also needs a tune mode so that you can play a sound as an instrument across the pads, like iMPC. Overall, a great idea that is still having kinks worked out. No question it will be worth the price when fleshed out. Show more

    Beat slice is nice
Slicr is the future of beats! Way worth the price for all of the features inside. This is the first app that Ive seen that is this visually intuitive and interesting. You can slice up songs from your phone, edit and add effects then dj and arrange the loops and add effects while exporting!! I have tons of songs on my phone so I can finally sample them. I can see the sample on the pads so I know which ones are drums and samples. I would like some kind of ableton feature. Looking forward to more updates. Show more

Nice beginning, looking forward to updates
congrats! I'm friends with the homies at Today's Future Sound & I think this will have great potential to use as a teaching tool. I'm already thinking of curriculum for it ;). Thanks for listening to the comments about issues with the app on the launch, it's always great to see devs listening to the users to improve their app. Definitely a good look. It tells us that your invested in making this better! It's a nice app & I look forward to using it more. Blessings. Show more
