A fun and intuitive approach to sample mangling
It was really tempting, in the title of this review to put "Essential if you own a RYTM" but I didn't want to deprive the Elektron-less of this really fun app. The app is so visually appealing and satisfying first and foremost; which makes it really easy to come back to time and again even if I'm nowhere near my RYTM. The sampling process is incredible! It's very straightforward with importing or recording sounds, and once they're in there: Blast off. Though the options you have with audio files is very limited you can apply those changes infinitely. Chaining, pitching, reversing and looping. But the way you can rearrange audio to a near microscopic degree, bounce that to a new audio file and immediately remangle your loop leads to a new approach to sound design. Now, for RYTM: this with SDS Drop is a dream come true. Samples are sent wirelessly over so quickly that the transfer's done before I even switch my gaze to the RYTM from my iPad. Which alone is worth it, but the app goes deeper to send random patterns and sound adjustments ranging from if you want a nice computerized touch to your beat or if you just want the app to write your entire track for you(great for dry spells) I can't recommend this app enough. It's so amazing, the developer is very receptive, and I always get excited whenever I'm using it. Show more

    Sample Slice Instrument
Even by itself, the app is great fun to play. You have lots of control over the slices, can pitch them, and automate sequences. Import your samples with the document picker so you can gets them from the cloud, AudioShare, Dropbox or other source. Can be used in combination with effect apps for more rhythmic sampling manipulations. The app will even save your sequence of touches when you load in a new sample or change the number of slices for the sample. Show more

    Won't work with latest iOS.

    I want my money back
Abandonware. Iap is a total waste. Slices dont transfer to rytm. Random features will mess up your programs. Expensive crap.

    Fun Even a Without RTYM
Great avant sample-maker/player. If you like Being Strange & Somewhat Annoying, do not pass this by.

    For Fun
This is a fun and unique sample manipulation and slice sequencer. Flex adjust is creative. AudioCopy and AudioShare support. Developer says Audiobus / IAA are coming in an update. I don't own the hardware but its still a fun app. Show more

Don't buy without the hardware (yet)
I changed my review because there are too many misleading reviews. Without the hardware it is mediocre at best. If things change so will my review. This "with or without hardware" stuff is to trick you into buying it. Show more

    Has potential. Eh...
This is a decent start but already leans too heavily on hardware. I have other apps like Launchpad where hardware is an option but you can still use the app and never really miss it. As a sampler it is also pretty basic. I like what it does but it doesn't do much. Samplr, Yellofier, Earhoof and others tread on similar territory and for the time being I would say any one of those trumps this. If you like samplers and just want another one for the sake of a different trick or two, then by all means, add this one to the zoo. If you are looking for a more serious tool, this alone will fall pretty far short. PS- What's with the IAP to get the app to work with the hardware? Show more

    Wonderful app for Analog Rytm!
This app takes the Elektron Analog Rytm to the next level. Totally worth the price of admission. Greatly enhances sound design workflow, and performance. If you have a Rytm then you need this app. Show more

Great fun with or without an Analog Rytm
This is is fantastic! If you own an Analog Rytm then it’s really an instabuy, as it’s just adds so much to an already cool machine. I used it on my last plane flight with out the Analog Rytm and came up with some awesome material. It really bridges the work of iPad music apps and hardware! Show more

    Super Cool!
Great stand alone sampler. Coupled with the Elektron Rytm it can really take you to another level. Love it!

Best way into the guts of the Rytm
Jakob a.k.a. VOID has put together a great tool for Elektron Users. What makes this tool stand out it can be used for other things and even be stand alone.
