Can the dB level be trusted, in Noise level disputes?
I have a friend who runs a restaurant, and he plays music from time to time. He got a visit from local Law Enforcement claiming he was exceeding the allowed noise level. Fortunately he had your Noise Meter Tool - DB Level installed on his phone and was able to demonstrate otherwise. The confrontation ended well, but later the Police department claimed the iPhone and your tool were not even close to accurate, my opinion is that’s it’s got to be more accurate at giving a dB level (as required by city code) than a human ear which will say at best, it’s quiet, Loud, very loud, excessively loud…., but not actually be able to put a number on it. Anyway is there some sort of certification for your product that can be presented that shows you have made every effort to insure accuracy of the number dB level presented by your Noise Meter Tool - DB Level, or is there a margin of error that needs to be factored in to the conversation. Hope you can help. Show more

    It’s a scam
Like the first guy who reviewed this said... it’s set-up to try and fool you into buying the app. Just put a price on it and if it’s any good someone will buy it and if it works they will give you a great review and then more people will buy it. Using links that try to trick you in to buying it is just plain stupid. Show more

    No good
This developer should almost be punished for false advertising, IMO. They let you download it for free, but then there is no way to get past the pop-up screen offering a 50% discount on buying the premium version. I can’t even get into the supposedly free app to use it. If you need people to pay for the app before they use it then put a price on it in the App Store. Be honest, instead of trying to sneak a price in the back door, so to speak. Response: Maybe you need to look into that. There was no button or link for me to select. Or maybe it was just a fluke that only happened with my device. Show more

Not convenient, save time and use different app.
Takes about 15 seconds to start the app. Then plays a 30 second ad. 2 minutes into actually using the app, another 30 second ad. Uninstalled and downloading a different one. Show more

    Aggressive Ads
Can’t really tell about the relative usefulness of the app, as two full-video ads popped up within the first two minutes of (trying) to use it. Ten dollars to go ad free? Delete. It’s pretty, though, which is why it’s not 1 star. Show more

    Noise Meter
This is a complete ripoff. You can't do anything for all the ads popping up. Getting rid of the ads costs $10 and switching to a digital meter is another $10. It's not worth it. Show more

    Wrong value
Shows unreasonably low noise level of 5 db when other meters give 50.

    Worthless junk
Compared head on against two other free meters on the App Store. -Inaccurate by 20db -No way to save tests except screenshot -No way to calibrate -Ads up the wazoo!

    Handy in a "Productive" way..
I use it to average out ambient/environmental sounds when I film video outdoor cooking shows and the speaker's voice needs to be very prominent in the final recording, so I manage my input mix using this app on an IPad Air 2. I am not a scientist so I don't know how accurate it is.. But it is very useful in a real way. Show more
