Great App for making your own backing tracks for vocal performances!

As much as I love music, I don’t know jack about the mechanics of creating it. The fact that little dots on paper can translate into audio pleasure is like sorcery to me. I love using this program to delve into the magic of music. Show more

I have really enjoyed using Symphony for writing simple arrangements for my kindergarten and preschool class performances. I like that I can print music and also make mp3s for the kiddos to practice to. Yay! Show more

As a longtime user of an open-source music writing application that limited me to the desktop, I was so happy to discover Symphony. Symphony frees me to notate my music on the go whenever I am inspired, and it affords me all the important capabilities I need. It has a really well-designed and intuitive interface that lets me work even more fluidly than before. I love the resizable piano keyboard, the one-touch way of picking note and rest values, and the many ways to export my projects, particularly to MusicXML. Bravissimo, Symphony! Show more

I found the app really easy to use and export as well. I would definitely recommend it.

So far this APP does what I require. I play recorder in a consort and often need to write out scores in a way that works for ‘ForScore’ I will continue with reviews as I discover more benefits. I am very encouraged! Good job folks! Show more

I tried this app several years back, but got frustrated over the lack of available functions in the free version. Thought I would give it another go, and see what happens. And am currently rating it 2 1/2 - 3 Stars. If there is an improvement in the app, I will gladly update my review & Star Rating, good or bad. So, keep your fingers crossed. Because, I will be! Using this on a series of long airline trips where a full laptop would be awkward. Love the compatibility with MuseScore via xlm file format.
