I have updated my iOS, but the app still doesn’t connect. It was good while it lasted.

This is now working on iOS 15.5. Thanks so much for continuing support for the Multi-12!

Like so many others this app was great and was the main reason why I purchased it for theatre shows. It made it incredibly easy to program and use in a live show. However, since Apple has updated their iOS combined with Yamaha not updating theirs in over two years the app no longer works. We are unable to connect the app to the DTX-M12. I simply do not understand why Yamaha can not do what others can which is update their app. Yamaha programmers could even do this from home. There is no excuse for Yamaha to ignore this problem. This should have been resolved long ago. Show more

The app looks promising because it has a ton of functionality, but I cannot connect it to my iPad Air (3rd Gen) running version 15.5, even though I switched the MIDI setting on the DTX to USB in the Utility menu. I’m also using an official Apple Camera Adapter that I purchased from an Apple Store. Totally useless without an update! Show more

Like others, I purchased a new iPad to work with the DTX12. Now I find out the app doesn’t work with this version of the OS. Please fix this asap!!!

After downloading the newest iOS update, 15.4.1, my app no longer talks to my dtx12. Please tell me there is an update coming, as there hasn’t been one in a couple of years. I love the functionality of the app. I would hate to have to go back to creating new kits the old (slow) way. Show more

I’m absolutely furious. Purchased a brand new iPad and DTX-Multi 12 to add to my setup only to find that this app hasn’t been updated in over 2 years and doesn’t work at all with iOS 15. Why do I bother trusting Yamaha anymore? Show more

This app made programming so easy. With the latest update I am one of legions of drummer/percussionists who can no longer use this app. Please fix this now! I can’t do theatre without it like so many others. Programming directly with the DTX is a nightmare. Show more

Tech support contacted me of this known issue. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. The Multi Pad 12 is a nightmare to edit without the Touch app ??

Please update so it work with new ipad 15.4.1

It is great at what it does, but on both our old iPad and new the app crashes about every 20 minutes when editing kits. Also cannot see wave names from custom kit. Show more

Crashes frequently otherwise it’s an amazing feature for your Dtx12.

Was a pretty useful app but no longer functions reliably on either an IPad 4 with 10.3.3 nor 2 year old Ipad with 11.2.6. Keeps freezing and crashing. When using wav files, the app does not show the file names, simply wav 01, 02, etc. This makes using wav files even the Yamaha drumkit package unnecessarily difficult to use. The Yamaha interface is tough to learn, but much easier to use for many functions. Show more

I've never had an issue with it, I'm running on an iPad 2 and the only problem I experience is related to the 32 pin connector falling out due to its own weight. This app makes up for the most irritating feature of the m12: the clunky interface. I can set tempos, effects volumes with ease for an entire set and propagate them to the m12 in a fraction of what it used to take. I took away a star for the crummy documentation, but after a couple sessions I was navigating the application with relative ease. Now, if I could only figure out a way to expand the memory on the m12 to a gig or so... Show more

WIt was working fine until my last iOS update. It tells me that "this device cannot be connected to this iPad". Please update this app to be compatible. Three stars because I cannot copy pads between kits. Otherwise pretty handy compared to that nightmare of navigating that little display on the Multi12. Show more

I found out about this app by pure luck. Never saw it advertised. The amount of flexibility it adds to the DTXM12 is amazing. You can edit kits, pads, effects, voices, and mix, etc., easily and very quick all from the iPad. The interface is intuitive and looks good. I had it up and running in minutes. Best of all... You can access and assign loops and samples to pads via iTunes and other file sharing apps. That's absolutely incredible. I have 50gb of samples on my iPad that I can access and use with the DTXM now. This just made this thing more flexible and better than the competition, specifically the SPD-SX. Thank you Yamaha for making this app. You guys should advertise it more. By the way, I have the DTXM connected to the iPad via apple's USB to lightening connection kit. That and a standard USB cable is all you need. The manual is under the settings tab. Show more

I can't find a manual of any kind so trying to bumble my way through this program without messing up my Multi 12 is a challenge. Hoping to find a discussion board where folks have used this program. Did discover you need to set the MIDI output to USB (Utilities Menu) as that isn't the default. Show more

I could never get this app to connect with my m12, it's completely useless. Try again Yamaha

First off, this app os a godsend for those of us who use this great pad. It makes programming voices soon much easier. So far it seems very stable. Wish list: 1. Editing of other pad/system parameters ESPECIALLY individual pad sensitivity. 2. Yamaha needs to sell a specialized cable the will POWER THE IPAD while connected and have a Lightning connector. Yamaha, you’re missing an opportunity here. 3. Needs a built in picture library for all internal instruments. 4. Needs a play mode where if you touch the pads on screen, they play the sound on the device. That’s what it will take to earn the extra two stars from me.
