    Glitchy Sounds
I want to like this synth but the sporadic glitchy sounds are awful. I have read that this developer is great so I hope my comment will be read and the problem will be resolved in a future update. Show more

    I like this a lot
You can squeeze some excellent noises out of this app; I like the interface. My only complaint is that it crashes whenever I touch the right edge of the screen when in full-screen keyboard mode. Show more

Monophonic tones that grew on me DRAMATICALLY!
I was a huge fan of Klevgrand's early FX's apps, which were small-footprint, affordable AudioBus/IAA inserts that twisted, morphed, and warped your sound in different ways. So, when they put out Enkl (a synth app!), I clicked "Buy" immediately and assumed I would love it. But that wasn't the case immediately. Part of the issue was that I knew even less about synths back then - many of the popular iOS synths are polyphonic, and I didn't understand the benefits of mono synths and how oscillator stacking can lead to rich, thick leads and bass tones. Then I started playing around with some affordable hardware monophonic synthesizers (such as the Arturia MicroBrute and Volca Bass), and gained a better understanding of synthesis in general. When I revisited Enkl, I appreciated it on a much higher level. Enkl is obviously a digital app, but sounds to me almost like a piece of vintage analog hardware. The interface is very...blue...but is actually laid out intelligently and makes things very easy to program. And the presets that come with the app are some of the most inventive and useful that come to mind in an iOS synth. It's been several month since an update, so I would like to see Klevgrand continue to work on Enkl, but it's a terrific mono synth that performs well even on some of the slower devices. 5 stars. Design too complicated for what it does
The synth engine here is very basic, however the way it's all designed is way overcomplicated. There are more capable synths that are actually much easier to use. The picture looks fancy, but most adjustments are tricky and inconvenient. No joy, sorry folks. Show more

    Won me over
The goofy looking interface with its ALL ONE COLOR graffix and no patch name in sight.Has an amazing keyboard interface (if not the best)that gave life and a special character to my sounds that sucked me right in.Big fat greasy bass and quirky leads that don't just sound like a video game 8bit either!peace Christo Show more

Deceptively simple looking x blow-your-hair-back sounding.
My personal experience with Klevgrand is that they make my Dream apps - the ones I’d fantasize in a “wouldn’t it be amazing if you could…” way. Enkl is as powerful as it is cute. As with all Klevgrand offerings the UI is thing of beauty and a joy to use. 5 minutes in with Enkl and I was all smiles and head-nodding making ultrafat bass patches and rude blips. Deceptively simple looking x blow-your-hair-back sounding. YES. Show more

    Klevgränd Is GR...EAT!
I've been well pleased by every release from Klevgränd Produktion - this is yet another fine piece of software. Lovely monophonic synth with a thoughtful aesthetic.
