    Simply does not work anymore
There is no app support. The devs should take this down. The app doesn't work, period. Now working to get money back. Do not use.

    Very dissapointed
It does not work for me. I should have read the description. It does not work with DRM music, which is all the music downloaded with an apple music account. Here is an idea: Pass the artist and song to a web site like songbpm.com and scrape the results to populate the BPM column value. Show more

Gives "bad data" for lots of songs
About 25% of my library had "bad data" result. Songs are all playable and no DRM issues. Doesn't seem to be any way to fix problem

    Useless
I just ran over 3000 sounds through it, not one of them came out with a BMP greater than 80...including Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, The Beatles and many many more...REALLY! I'l like my money back! Two years later they finally contacted me. They sent a link that gives instructions on how to get a refund. The first requirement is to have your reciept email. Hmmm...yeah, not gonna happen. Thanks for you lack of real support! Show more

Does not seem to work with Big Sur
I've used this for years and it always worked well, but it does not seem to work since updating to Big Sur.

Doesn't work for ANY songs on Apple Music!
I bought this thinking it would integrate with iTunes seamlessly, as it advertises. But if you use Apple Music, beware: It doesn't work on anything you've downloaded from that service. If you own a track that you've manually placed in iTunes, no problem, but that represents literally 0% of what I needed BPM for. Total waste of money and, frankly, false advertising. This major fault should be made more clear. I feel scammed. Show more

    A god-send for BPM joggers!
I've been using this app for years to finely tune jogging playlists in iTunes that are set to my pace. I occasionally have to fine-tune this or that track (mainly by removing the BPM setting for tracks where the tempo wavers more than I'd like), but that's an easy sacrifice for the power this utlity gives me in running to an amazing soundtrack. Can't Swing
This worked okay for songs up to 150 BPM but fell completely apart at higher tempos.

    Can't Scan ANY File
I've only used this software for less than five minutes, and only bought it because I updated to Catalina (big mistake) and it's lack of 32-bit support leaves me without MixMeister's BPM Analyzer. I download this, open it and immediately drop the first audio file I see in my downloads. I get a message saying this file isnt found in Music/iTunes. For $8 I can't drop any audio file in this app and get AT LEAST an approximation of the audio's BPM. Show more

    Only getting errors
I tried a few times to get it to work and every time it just gives me an error.

    great for runners
This little app is great for people who are not good at hearing the BPM of a song but want to create a song list with a set range of BPMs. In my case, for running, I needed to know which of my iTunes were 88-90 BPM. I dragged my entire library of songs (over 2,000) onto BeatGuage and within minutes (I did not time it), they were all processed with as accurate of a BPM as I needed (pretty accurate since I compared them to a metronome). (iTunes provides a BPM view option and until you add that metadata with an app or manually, the column will normally be blank.) Not its fault, BeatGuage cannot process older iTunes Digital Rights Management encoded files, but in my case those are few (and if you care, you can convert them to MP3s in iTunes anyway). Show more

    DId exactly what I needed
I think some have half the tempo that the software thinks, but those outliers are easy to fix. Now I can make myself workout playlists. Love it.

    Ok, Wow.
So, I gave up a few years ago on finding something that could quickly analyze my iTunes library and fill in the BPMs. I enjoy having this info so that I can build playlists for various types of workouts (swim, bike, run). I used to use a tapper because I couldn't find an accurate BPM analyzer, but when you have almost 20K songs...come on. Today I found this, and spent the money after reading a couple of reviews. I couldn't be more pleased. Filled in BPMs for over 10K songs in less than 2 hours. I've spot checked it with the tapper and am seeing a high level of accuracy. So, I'm very happy. And BTW, this is not a fake review. I hate fake reviews. This is not one. Did I say yet that this one is not fake? I'm an actual person who is really happy to have bought this app. Okay, that is all. Does Not Work With Apple Music
If you use Apple Music, even if you have downloaded the music to your hard drive, this app will not work. It will not work on any DRM music you may have purchased online. Show more

    Real Nice !
There are erros occasionally like with most apps, but it really does what it says it does. I have a itunes list of over 70,000 files, and I just analyzed 20,000 of them in about an hour. If you’re looking for perfection, that doesn’t exist. If you’re a working DJ or the like, and you need productivity, this App is worth the $$. Holla ! Show more

    Can’t do DRM music
Can’t calculate BPM for protected music - which is most of the music in my iTunes library. I would not have purchased the app had I known this. Nice job with songs that are not DRM protected. Show more

Doesn’t work reliably on a wide range of music
Isn’t reliable enough to be useful for my library of music (about 1,300 songs ranging from folk to alternative rock to christian and gospel to jazz). I wanted to use this to construct smart playlists based on bpm, but it just doesn’t work- High bpm songs are given low bpm values, etc. Show more
