This is basiclly a GUY on functionality found already in MacOS. nothing wrong with that, but would not take much to refine the interface even a little.. like export should not be named "EXPORT VIDEO" and maybe a option to name the file being exported. User friendly. No directions or youtube tutorials needed. Your intuition will likely be correct…if not the first try, certainly the second. I have been digitizing old cassette recordings and wanted to cut up the files. It took longer to find this app than it did to cut up my first digitized cassette into beautiful separate tracks. I’ve only had this a day so I may be missing something. But it sure would be helpful if the app recognized silence between tracks to facilitate splitting a long track automatically. Other than that very simple to use and well worth $5. Show more

This program looks like it was built in the 90s. Hardly does anything. Completely useless.

Perfect, thank you. I had some difficulty with the merge on the second use which was absolutely stupid user error (Charkey - error between the chair and the keyboard). Don’t forget to make the correct selection at the main menu. You only have three options. This is not hard. :) For the price, this is fantastic. Don’t expect anything other than exactly what’s advertised. A note on the file types that can be handled - there’s going to be an issue with the Apple m4a files. Convert to Windows Media files (WMV), merge (or trim or…) and export back to m4a. As of now there are still free WMV AVI converters for the Mac. Notes: If believe you need instructions, you aren’t going to have a user guide so take a deep breath and think it through. You may have some trial and error before you get what you’re looking for but since the functionality is very simple and everything is on the main menu (don’t bother with the menu bar), if you’re patient the probability that you’ll work it out is very high. For example, on export, if everything you want to merge has been imported to the left panel, select the button in the lower right corner which is labeled ‘export video’. It may be counter intuitive if you’re working with sound and you haven’t actually selected anything but you will get an exported file with the name of the currently selected (or last imported) file in your list. When trimming, use caution in location setting with that green arrow. If you click a couple of times and end up with multiple selections (overlapping arrows), you get a few chunky trims where you might not want them. I’m still not sure exactly what I did. When I went back in to correct the trim, it was pretty straight forward but I could see how multiple splits or trims could be made accidentally. Take the time to add artwork and edit the title and additonal information on the right. In the end, it’s probably going to matter. You’ll still probably have to edit the file name after export but the rest of the information should show up in properties. Hope this helps. I downloaded this app to make simple and quick trims and occasional merges to audio files. I made two trims and all went well there. Quick and simple. BUT... attemtping to use the software to do a merge of two selected portions of one audio file was a complete hair-pulling experience! I am quite computer literate (advanced Photoshop user) but the instructions on this app do not even line up with what I see on my computer screen. First of all, the instructions show small selection buttons for Trim, Merge, and Split. Those buttons do not even exist in the copy of the software I downloaded on 10/2/18. Secondly, I made careful selections with the trim selectors of the two sections of a file I wanted to merge into one file (per the info provided after clicking the HELP button at the bottom of the software screen. Not only did that not work as indicated either, the software hung up at 99% progress and would not produce a file at all. Then I exited the program and came back in after selecting the MERGE button on the main screen. I then saw the same exact results as described above with zero success. So, from what I see, this is an OK option to trim files, but worthless for anything else. Show more

Sure my software libnrary has more sophisicated software for audio editing, but none of them are as easy and quick as this program. When you don’t have time to use the complex … this app is for you. I can turn around an email or FB audio quick as quick as you can spell "Audio Trim”. Perfect. Show more

Very user friendly and quick.

I downloaded the free version first, because I wanted to cut the section of an audio file with explicit lyrics. Could not make it work. I purchased the the full version and could not get it to work. I then went to help, still no success. I give up. This was a waste of money. Too bad I can’t get a refund. I do not recommend this app. Show more

I’ve actually had a lot of success with this app, it’s pretty intuitive and quite easy to use once you get past one issue with the Interface, the button to download your work is the BLUE BUTTON IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT HAND CORNER that looks like a “re-play” symbol. I was quite frustrated until I figured that out, but once I did it performed flawlessly and generated high-quality MP3’s of my work. Show more
