    Too Restrictive to test
Can’t record anything. Too restrictive to test. Too bad. If it was any good I would gladly buy the full version.

RIP OFF!! Not Eligible for Refund!! Don’t buy!!
In order to try the Inter-App feature you have to buy the Full Feature Set, but I find out the Inter-App Routing feature does not work properly with my Amp Sim Apps. It’s distorted with clicks & pops. I used this APP for less then 1 hour trying to get it to work properly. Requested a refund and was denied. Now I’m stuck with this GARBAGE ? Edit: Their reply is Misleading & False. The Inter-App feature is not included in the Demo. You HAVE to purchase the Full Feature Set in order to try the Inter-App feature. So if the Inter-App feature doesn’t work properly, you’re stuck with this App ? Show more

Great app but sorta dropped like a hot potato
I purchased this app when I had back surgery in early 2019 and needed to adapt to the iOS workflow of music production. That said, I don’t relate to the idea of Cubasis 2 receiving since 2012 therefor I should be grateful. Cant help but feel a side-balled as a recent customer. You’re not wrong to ask for more money... I’ve purchased nearly every extension and would gladly give more but that’s not the case here nor the attitude. Not enough offered to justify the means, , Please reconsider offering users who recently purchased Cubasis 2 the same sense of respect you’re asking customers to have for your development. Please find a way. Gift us an extension... SOMETHING! Otherwise Cubasis is surely the dominant daw on iOS. Happy new year 2020 y’all Please Show more

    Yamaha AG06 mixing console???
Bluetooth appears to be the only means to connect a device. Yamaha AG 06 is not Bluetooth. “Cubasis LE” is the recommended software but doesn’t seem to be available anymore. Really frustrating. Website lists it as a compatible device. Show more

    There’s a reason for everything
I just bought yet another copy even though I have paid hundreds for existing software on an Apple ID (lalafel@me) that for “some reason” after YEARS of trying to recover Apple just wont help. And I am quite literate digitally. I have a UR 22 mkII, with an existing Steinberg acct from the desktop DAW, and for all of you complaining about needing the hardware, ESPECIALLY using an Apple device....,how can you NOT GET THE SIGNIFICANCE of the manufacturer needing control over BOTH hw&sw !.???! well let’s just say as a long time pro engineer w national acts under my belt I wouldn’t give your demo 10 seconds of listening time. Steinberg may not be easy to learn but nothing comes close in terms of its sheer power and capability, and admittedly the visual interface could be friendlier (but we are talking many years since we used any of their s/w). We didn’t have difficulty accessing our Steinberg acct A few months ago. So we are , yes dropping the 50$ sight unseen on this version and KNOW it’s a bargain since we were trained with real audio gear as an AES member and every type of software stretching back to Dr T on an ATARI ...SOOOOO if you lookin 4 friendly we suggest you stay OUT of the music biz ?. Bein sincere here. Show more

    HELP!!!
The latest OS update has apparently made it where Cubase will no longer load. Also, although paid for the full upgrade when I go to the App Store it does not know I have purchased the full version and still has me down for the LE version. Help!! Show more

I’m confused but that’s not hard to do.
Why do you need ‘any’ hardware device to unlock ‘anything’? Then this isn’t an iOS app to use with other iOS music apps?

    Outstanding!
I’ve been a Steinberg customer, (Cubase/Wavelab) user for years. Since the early days of VST/32 I’ve been hooked. I’ve seen professional audio engineers switch from impressive Pro Tools setups and sell them to acquire the quality of Cubase’s or Nuendo’s audio engine after taking demos to their studios! Remember, to get the full benefit of Cubasis you’ll need compatible hardware. With the Neve partnership, I use the UR-RT4. It’s amazing to hear the quality audio that can be recorded on an iPad these days! Keep up the great work and don’t forget to send my coffee mug! Show more

    BLUETOOTH
Still has Bluetooth issues... it sounds like a transistor radio in Bluetooth headphones and speakers like they are routing the sound through phone settings and not audio. I have an ipad with no headphone jack The only way to use headphones is Bluetooth or at least the best way is to use Bluetooth... if you’re going to make an ios app ya MAY wanna work on this! I have outboard gear but i mix on the ipad alone so i NEED decent Bluetooth support. Show more

    Very odd!
    Really!

    A joke
Demo mode is useless for determining if the full product is right for you. I can only ask, why?

    SAD, SAD, UNBELIEVABLE!!!
What a freakin' rip off. I was pretty excited to use this app but like others on here, why the hell bother when you have to find supported hardware. I chose this because I really want to use Auria Pro which I have but someone told me that Cubasis has an easier learning curve so now after this Cubasis disappointment, I’m just going back, gritting my teeth and learning, Auria. You guys are a complete rip off and I would give you 0 stars if I could. Why the hell would I want an app that only plays in DEMO MODE??? You people cannot be serious! It would have been great to use this app so I could see if I wanted to upgrade to full Cubasis but forget that now. Seriously. You should be ashamed of yourselves. There is no way I’m upgrading to the full version. This is crap. Highway robbery. Tsk, tsk. I also have one more thing to add. Why do powerhouse DAWS such as, Auria Pro, BeatMaker 3, IMPC Pro, GarageBand, and others I’ve bought allow you to start working with them right away and not have to worry about searching for compatible hardware like you guys? Please explain this to me? It would be nice to use Cubasis LE 2 to give us a chance to work with it. To get a feel of what Cubasis is all about before spending the 50 bucks for the full version. This is not fair. You people intentionally do this so we can fork the money for the full version. What a shame. Cumulonimbus Show more

The DAW that hits the Sweet Spot!
I have, and use, several iOS music production platforms. I have to say that Cubasis is just about the perfect balance between something like GarageBand on the simple-but-limited side, and Auria Pro on the unlimited-but-complex side. Cubasis is quick, fun to use, only limited in the most sophisticated final mixing and processing tasks. If you put together a track that is good enough to get to that stage, that's a good problem to have. Cubasis can get you there, and you will have fun doing it. Show more

    Cubasis is FOR REAL
While it’s no fun getting older, the prospective of growing up in the 80’s makes me really appreciate the tremendous technology available to musicians and songwriters today. Cassette four tracks were a blast of course, I learned a lot on them, but a DAW on slate no bigger than a magazine, with features on par with its desktop counterpart and now with Waves PlugIns?! Unreal, Cubasis is unreal. I think users of the other iOS DAW’s need to add Cubasis to their arsenal as well. I love Auria Pro, but also use Cubasis; the ease of use and excellent on board instruments make MIDI composition & experimentation a breeze and serious mixing with acoustic instruments and audio is equally powerful. Steinberg’s partnership with Waves is a huge step in a journey Cubasis has been taking from a DAW people could doubt & dismiss (“Recording on an iPad?!”) to a DAW that is just as capable as it’s desktop brethren. Highly recommended. Show more

    Ridiculous
Ridiculous app that has NO support for the most common hardware on the market today by Yamaha and others.

    Sad
I purchased the full version of Cubasis 2 through Cubasis LE. It did not show in Apps store that I purchased it. Besides I was expected to have a full version of Cubasis 2, it seems that a partial version instead of a complete full version of Cubasis 2. Please fix this app. Thank you Show more

    Disappointed :(
I purchased the full version from within the Cubasis LE app, but it does not show that I purchased it in the App Store. So, my review here is for the FULL VERSION. I've used the desktop (pc) versions of Cubase for years and love it. Cubasis, in my opinion, doesn't come close to offering what the desktop versions have. Maybe it's great for some composers, as a way to work a song from start to finish. But, to me Cubasis really feels more like a really good 'scratch pad' that the developers are expecting you to actually work on your tunes on a full pc/mac version. The really disappointing thing to me, is the lack of ability to do multiple time signatures/tempos in one song. Because of this simple lack of capability, this app is pretty much useless for what I wanted to use it for. Rant over, it does do what it says it will do. I hope they implement other compositional abilities with future updates. :/ Show more

Great app with first-rate MIDI support
Unlike other reviewers I've found this app to work well for me, including my oddball MIDI equipment. I've upgraded to the full version (no longer LE) and don't regret it for a minute. While it may be true that you don't get much/any assistance from Steinberg (the developer), I've gotten near-immediate responses on their forum. Recommended! Show more

    Too crippled
Defaults to a 30 minute demo with no saving.
