I have all of the boombox models and they work great separately. HOWEVER. If you have more than one speaker that’s compatible with the other, expect them to work half of the time. When it does work it’s great and the sound is awesome but there’s tons of feedback. It sounds like a smoke detector with dead batteries. Partyboost will also work for maybe 25 minutes before one of the speakers starts to have a seizure and have a terrible sound compared to when it works correctly. Show more

Doesn’t connect to stereo mode easily

Could we get an update to where we can see the % of the speaker battery? It would be really helpful. Amazing speaker btw! ?

I can’t really complain about the sound on the boombox 3 but connecting it to this app, is next to nearly impossible. I’ve done everything from forgetting device and reconnecting all the way through to removing and re-downloading this app. Is it the service on the app or my speaker? I am seriously about to return this back to the store and get a refund. Show more

Cant listen right without tha app ??

Did a firmware upgrade on my JBL Charge 3. I used to connect my iPhone to JBL to better hear the other parties. Worked great. Now, after the upgrade the voice constantly get interrupted. Cannot hear the start of the voice and sometimes cannot hear at all. The white led’s turn on and off. It is like JBL added some kind of noise reduction, or power saving that is working horrible. How can I revert this firmware? JBL expects me to buy another portable speaker??? Show more

When I first installed the app, I was able to adjust the EQ settings but now that app won’t open to allow me to adjust those settings. What’s wrong with the app? Show more

This was a waste of my resources: the only useable function this app provided was to turn off the feedback tone that lets you know when the unit is turned on or off. Everything else (meaning the picture book user guide that tells you how to press a button, plus legalese and warranty info in every language known to man), came in the box. I have been using the xtreme 3 for some months, and suddenly the Bluetooth is not showing among the available devices on my phone anymore, and i have tried to contact jbl , they thought me how to reset the unit and i did but didn’t work and i will have to return it back to them but i live in Nigeria and i find it difficult because i don’t know if they have any legit distributors here in Nigeria. I will be happy if you can help me Show more

The JBL Portable apps needs a battery percentage indicator. It can be done if it’s been done for their headphones app. It would be cool if there would be a 10 band eq like the headphones. Show more

Really good app to manage speakers by JBLjbl

The App overall is great, and easy to use. It’s just a bit slow and delayed.

I love these speakers! I enjoy how easy it is to set up, the lighting options are awesome. The only downside I have is that I can’t turn on/off the speakers from my phone which would be amazing. But other than that no complaints here ?? Show more

I love my new JBL Charge 5. It is way better than my old Charge 3 which finally broke after 6 years. The app works well with the speaker. I love the equalizer. But with that, can you guys offer a dark mode on the app? I use the app a lot with my speaker and it’s usually at night so sometimes it irritates my eyes. Besides that, my experience has been 10/10. This is a very streamlined app but for the most part does what you need it to do. I gave it 4 stars because I am using it with the boombox 3 and it’s EQ is only 3 band. For the price of the boombox 3 JBL should have at least a 5 band EQ and the ability to save presets. Tribit has this on there stormbox and i think it is a 9 band EQ. EQ and volume is smooth, something that the JBL Pro Audio app LACKS terribly. Although this has a premium feel there are other companies out there that have apps that are more functional like Tribit. I prefer the JBL boombox over the Tribit stormbox but the app is better on the Tribit. The sound of the Stormbox is not to far behind the boombox 3 and if money’s a factor people will pick the Tribit. Just something for JBL to think about when the next update their app and I need to pay attention to all the hungry companies out there that are at the hills so they realize they need to be on top of things because they’re going to lose business to other companies if they do not. So I’ve had the speaker for about 2 years now and it by far is one of the best speakers I’ve ever used. But the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s had a bunch of problems with charging, EVEN after I replaced the battery a couple days later it started doing the exact same thing it was doing before I replaced it. Now it’s working perfectly fine all the sudden and it’s only staying “charged” on the 1 out of 5 of the dots for charging and that’s what it was doing before I replaced it and I go on this app and it says it’s that low. Idk I take super good care of it always have and it’s still took a weird turn and idk if two years would be long enough for it to have anything happen to it but who knows. Please help idk if it needs an update but if so please send that haha. Thank you that’s my review. Send me a new JBL charge 4 or upgrade me to a charge 5 or trade mine in and upgrade me to the charge 5 and I’ll raise my rating but idk if it’s that worth the extra stars. Show more
