Opens Up Many Possibilities w/ Valvetronix Amps
I have been using Vox amplifiers for the better part of 2 decades with my Fender Telecaster. When my previous Valvetronix died, I picked up one of the newer models and it was compatible with the Vox Tone Room software. As I said in the title, this program opens up so many possibilities. There are some tones and amp models that are not available through the knob on the amp and are only available via the software. Using the software to take control of the amplifier just gives me more options to help me find the right tone, whether it be replicating Keith Richards, EVH, Stevie Ray, or anyone else. The interface is really easy to use, and I like that you can see a picture of the amp model you are replicating, rather than just going off a setting on the dial. I also like the way it lets you setup your virtual pedalboard. Saving custom programs to the amp is also very easy. If you own a Vox Valvetronix amp, this program is a must. Show more

    Doesn't recognize a connected amp
The app can't see my VT40X. I tried different cables. The MacOS app works fine, though.

Terrible 1970's Software on 90's GUI app
This application makes no file directory sense. It's like the Vox iOS team got too high in the 80's and they hired a software developer who got into terrorism with the Motley Crew gang years in Los Angeles and London and had some court order to never be able to make the Vox Tone app work at all how any person would interact with a app. Show more

    This App is Trash
Don’t bother on an IPhone. And good luck finding any patches.

    Great,BUT
I use it on my iPad and PC. Works great, except for saving files in the cloud. It shows options to store files at OneDrive and icloud, but none of them works. So, no way to sync between devices and no way to backup data. IOS File apps doesn't work trying to copy files from OneDrive to Local folder. So...this is a serious issue. Show more

Lots of functionality but the design... Ugh
For everyone that says it doesn't work with an iPad - Get an apple certified adapter. Not every camera/USB adapter will work. I had an adapter that worked fine with my Tascam USB audio interface but not with my Vox. Bought a certified adapter and it worked fine. Now the bad. The UI is atrocious. Everything crammed into one screen. Confusing layout. Most of this could be solved with sliding sliding panels or drop downs. Even the limited menu is badly designed. On the right side? Really? It's a shame because it renders it unusable in a live performance. It's useable to setup and tweak user patches and provides a lot more control and functionality that isn't available on the amp itself. Show more

    Works perfectly!
I have used this software with my Vox VTX-40 live at gigs. I don’t use it to create and store profiles but for live, ‘on the fly’ effects changes. Great app and great amp! Show more

    Terrible
This app is terrible. The software is terrible. Bluetooth connections don’t work or fail as your playing. App freezes. Contacting Vox is useless.

Works Perfectly on MacBook Pro and iPhone
I’ve owned a Vox VT40X modeling amp for two years and never had a problem with the companion, Tone Room software. I don’t know why so many reviews complain how buggy and difficult this software is to use. My experience has been the complete opposite. I’ve used it with my iPhone and my MacBook Pro. It’s as easy to use as tapping on a screen or clicking with a mouse. Just make sure you use an Apple Camera Adapter as instructed. Any other adapter won’t do. Show more

    Jank
I have no way of accessing my Adio air gt. It shows that it is available for Bluetooth connection and it won’t allow me to connect at all.

    Awful
Vox makes great amps but this software is crap. It’s embarrassing how Vox dropped the ball on this. Embarrassingly clunky, needlessly difficult to use. I wish I’d done more homework on this software. If I had to do it all over again, I never would have bought my Vox amp BECAUSE of how awful this software is. No I’m stuck with an amp I feel is only about at 40% effective. Do yourself a favor. Buy one of the Fender Mustang modeling amps. You’ll spend more time playing instead of banging your head against the wall. AAAAARGH!!!!!!!! Show more

    Bluetooth Connection does not work
I have tried Bluetooth on different devices using iOS, macOS and Android. There is no Bluetooth connection coming from the VT100x. I use the computer version of the app via direct usb connection on Mac Os on my IMac without issues. I love VOX valvetronix amps but VOX needs to provide the correct information on this App to avoid wasted time by us end users. I wish there was a 0 or minus rating to apply to this. Show more

    Crap
    Doesn’t work!
  • KelceyB, 14.02.2019
    Works fine
Check cables if you have problems. If the app loads on your device, most likely it will work. Both styles of ipad/iphone camera adapters work. It works ios, Macbook Pro as well as iMac... of course your device determines the performance. Overall, once the cabling is correct and your device is capable, it is a cool addition to your Vox abilities... Show more

iPhone and iPad connect via BT no problem
I have a Vox Adio Air GT and use Tone Room regularly, I have had no issues connecting via Bluetooth, it just works. Great for editing tones.

    Can’t get I to work
Tried it in the iPhone and desktop with brand new cables. Neither one will recognize the amp. Very unhappy with that right now. Hopefully Vox will have an answer. **Update** Korg/Vox did respond promptly and helped me diagnose the issue. Apparently not all usb cables are equal. I got a different usb cable and it hooked right up. Very happy with that. My first usb b was branded for gps devices, maybe they don’t have all the capabilities. Very happy now. Show more
