    Don’t bother.
Tried opening the files directly via link on a website and also tried downloading close to a dozen different midi files and this program didn’t make a peep.

    No Settings
There are no Settings where you can choose your external MIDI interface.

    Good
The app is simple, and straight to the point. It works well and works fast. The sound is awesome too.

Does its job; opening files inconvenient
All I need is an app to access and play MIDI files from my Google Drive. (I can play my MP3 and other audio files directly from that app even offline, but not MIDI.) Awesome that this is free (well you get an ad at the bottom of the screen but it's not intrusive at all; no full-screen ads for sure). I can't find any other apps that are free. Accessing files is not a problem whatsoever and works perfectly fine. If I get my Google Drive files through the iOS Files app implementation that this app has, it has improved with iOS 13 as it remembers the folder I opened the file with and I don't have to start from my home folder every single time, which was annoying. The catch is that every time you want to listen to a MIDI file using that method, you have to download it every time. Granted, MIDI files are tiny, but are still considerably slow on a bad connection. On top of that, this method doesn't work when there is no connection at all. In the Google Drive app, you're able to make individual files available offline; I guess it saves the file somewhere in your iPhone's storage so you can open it whenever you want. So my offline workflow is: I have to navigate to my desired MIDI file through the Google Drive app and choose "Open with" every time. That's three taps and a swipe. But at least I have that option, and it works every time. In a previous review, I wrote about how some MIDI instruments don't sound as I expect and in fact sound horrible. Being an iPhone newbie, I originally thought this app was the problem. I was wrong. Other apps that play MIDI files (e.g. I use another that produces sheet music) sound the same exact way, so it's gotta be iPhone's fault. My main problem with this app in terms of performance is sometimes it skips individual notes if too many are playing. If I play the same song on that sheet music app (which mutes the percussion), the audio tears but the notes play. I guess I gotta pick my poison. For iPhone, this remains an essential for me. It opens the files but...
The instrument sounds are very off.

    SD card
Can you make it so we can have custom sound font

If only it had tempo control
This would be all I need, except for the ability to change the tempo.

    Cool
My MuseScore midi files sound delightfully SNES-y! I unironically love it!

    Awesome
I very much enjoyed this app. It is one of the few free midi applications, and it opens my files very well. The sound font to built in to the application actually does not sound too bad, when comparing it to the one built into my windows PC. I dream feature would either be trans pose the sound, or load a custom sound font, but like I said, it’s a dream feature. It’s free, and it does everything a free app should do. I especially like how closely integrated it is with the system, being able to play midis in the background. Show more

Very good app with not a lot of features
This app is seriously the only free app that can play midi files, BUT it doesn't have a way to go change the instruments. For example: the composer chose the wrong drums and now it sounds horrible. And sf2 support would be nice too Show more

    Good Idea, Needs More
Seems to be the only free MIDI player out there right now. Would love it if I could adjust the volumes of the individual parts.

    Amazing and has potential
This app has the potential to be amazing It works perfectly other than ONE problem Some midis don't sound like they're supposed to, don't know why, but this app should be more well known. Show more

    Doesn't play
I have it configured to play files from Google Drive, but I can't open any of the .mid files.

    Not enough
For what it can do, it does it well. However, it needs the ability to use custom soundfonts to seal the deal for me.

    New Update Not Working
A lot of the time it won't play the audio, or won't understand certain instruments.
