Still my Top Favorite! Would really love Real-time Multi Out
It still is my top favorite app and if it had real time multi out it would be the ultimate! This way you can have it send out each audio stem in real time to each track in Cubasis. I’m using it with Alesis Nitro Mesh drumkit to trigger the kits on the iPad and it works! Love it! I highly recommend this app! MM4C Show more

    Really?
This app shuts down the entire audio and midi system when you use prearranged loops and try to record in AUM. You just put out an update. You can’t tell me the developer doesn’t know these issues. You going to fix it? Or can I have my money back. Show more

FINALLY!!!! A Beatmaking App I Can Use!!
Hands down the best beat making app I have ever used. Other than the ease and use of GarageBand loops, Drum Session app is the easiest to use and have the best sounding drums I’ve ever heard! Now with GarageBand as my DAW and Drum Session for the drums, I am finally ready to record by songs. THANK YOU SO MUCH DRUM SESSION. Show more

    Greatest iOS drumapp ????✌️
I have used this app for years and absolutely love it! Haven’t had any issues until very recently. Fortunately the latest update has fixed that again. Thanks to great and quick developer support! ? Loving the variety of metal drumpatterns, great sounding drumkits, and ability to insert tempo changes, edit or customize patterns, cloud sharing... Some amazing stuff that i miss from a lot of other drumapps that i own. This is by far my favorite! Super grateful that my favorite drumapp got fixed! Awesome job guys! I highly recommend this app, especially if you are a metal guitar player looking for grapeat rock or metal drumtracks! ????? Show more

    Not for the recording drummer
I connected by Roland TD-25. Couldn’t get my hi Tom to quit being a crash cymbal. Use this as a drum machine/looper. Do NOT use to record actual drumming.

    bugs bugs and bugs.
This app have bugs, I don’t like that, hope to fix it. The sound is good, im trying to use this with AUM but sometimes it don’t works properly. If these bugs are fixed i will rate this app better because the idea is good. Show more

    Sounds great but......
I really like the interface, sound quality, and versatility of this app. It’s the closest thing to superior drummer or ez drummer on iOS, but on my iPad Pro the pads and keys don’t work. Plugging in a midi controller works just fine, but the on screen pads and keys don’t function. On my 6th gen iPad and on my iPhone everything works perfectly, just not on my iPad Pro 12.9” 3rd gen. If they can fix this problem then this app will be absolutely perfect. Show more

    Needs improvement
I like this app but it’s full of bugs which are not being fixed. I tried contacting support but they weren’t much help. If you need to make changes on a piano roll, export your drum track to another midi program to do so. This one will just crash on you. Save your work regularly because when it crashes you lose it. Pretty annoying when you just spent an hour working on a beat. Please remove the reverb from the drums. I can add effects later if need be. Even better add a separate reverb effect control for each kit. Show more

The only drum app you need, period.
Does everything, if you need it to do more just get superior drummer and use your computer. But for an app, it is perfect, does everything, very easy to be creative with. Most other apps limit how detailed you can get, but this lets you change so many aspects of the drums and patters that it is truly useful for songwriters. Thanks for making this! Show more

    Good (Update: now GREAT!)
Sorry for the delayed update on my 3 star review, but now I’m willing to call it a 5 star app since velocity sensitivity has been added. I experienced a crash so far but I’m feeling fairly confident with this developer and that they will continue working out bugs. Show more

    The best!
I have a bunch of drum apps and I keep going back to this for the quality of sounds and ease of use. So many. Loops and drum sets to choose from. Plus they are constantly updating it. Great job guys!!! Show more

    Among the Best
If the developer adds a choice of new drum sample libraries, EQ, and mix/pan to the kits this will be a cut above everything else out there. As it is it is a great add for iOS DAWs like Cubasis. Well done. I have to amend this review. As of June 2017 editing in DrumSession is a horrible experience on both iPad and iPhone. It is best to stick to using the internal sequences. Moving notes is nearly impossible on an iPhone because you can't see where the note is under your finger, similar for the iPad. If you're not careful every time you try to move the edit screen around you lay down new notes you have to delete. The recording and editing process is bug riddled with crashes and non-responsive app behavior. The screen remains unnecessarily dark making pad usage and some navigation needlessly difficult unless you want to burn down your battery winding the video all the way up in normal room light. Maybe it's just too much to demand from an iOS app. So far the market still lacks a serious and user friendly solution. iPad Air 2 128gb Show more

    Sound good but
The app keeps crashing every 5 to ten minutes. It fizzles and closes. While it works, it sounds good and easy to use. I wish there was more midi editing capabilities. Also it would be cool to import midi loops or at least have in app purchases to buy more patterns. I am using an iPad Air. Having it crash on me makes me feel like I wasted $25 because I won't use it due to lack of confidence in the app. Show more

    Keep working on it!
It has potential but I prefer Rock Drum Machine, Drum Loops HD, or Drum Beats. It is pricey for what you currently get IMO....

    MY DRUMMER
Never found a good iOS app to put down great drum tracks in my hard rock projects, but this app does it easily and realistically. Other than the sometimes difficult to read buttons due to color contrast (which the dev is changing in next update), this app is going to be game changer for those who implement iOS into their musical creations. This is the EZ Drummer like app I've been waiting for
I don't know if Toontrack's EZ Drummer app will ever be ported to iOS but this might be the next best thing. I'm still figuring it out but I like what I see so far. Maybe a bit pricey, though for an iOS app but I snatched it up after reading a review on Music App Blog. One thing I don't like is the color scheme of the transport and function controls. I had to turn my iPad's brightness up to super nova levels in order to barely be able to make out the controls. This really needs to change. It took me ten minutes to figure out how to get out of the initial help screen because I couldn't make out the exit button. Show more

This might finally be the one!
This is the best acoustic drum app on iOS to date. The developers say there are more features in the pipeline, but even as is it's well worth the price! Show more

I hope this gets fleshed out by the devs.
Great idea, poor execution. It's very buggy, crashes on startup, is impossible to edit, and, honestly, doesn't look very good. A lot of buttons are hard to see and blend into the faux marble graphic. For 25$ I was hoping for stability at the very least. The kits are flat and to me the biggest difference between them all is reverb. The editor is almost pointless. It's not easy to read the effect on the piano roll and the select feature is primitive. Sometimes the sounds I've dropped in stop working. Sometimes I can't do anything at all to what I'm working on anymore. This is where it crashes on me EVERY SINGLE TIME I'VE USED IT. The ease of dropping patterns into the timeline is fantastic. It's easy to loop and set tempos; really, once this things gets going it's going to be a beast. It just doesn't feel done yet. I know it's early in the lifecycle of Drum Session, and I do hope all of these things will be addressed in future updates, but as of now, for the price? Ah, well...they can't all be zingers. EDIT:since update I've had it crash and shut down three times in less than an hour messing with it. Too bad. EDIT 2: EDIT keys crashes app. Still crashes from piano roll. Deleted. Show more
