Versatile drum synth w/ Euclidean seq
Great bread and butter sounds that can be tweaked into electro percs, zaps, blips, etc... Euclidean seq is fun, took me a second to get used to it. Shift is your friend when trying to program basic breaks. Show more

    Mediocre at best.
What is the hype? I don’t get it.

Intuitive, fun sequencer and great 80s sound
FM synthesis is not intuitive or straightforward, but Bram has written a great manual ( available on the website) that explains how to use the controls to get interesting sounds out of this app. The Euclidean sequencer is great- I’ve been using it to make odd-time loops and Radiohead-style polyrhythms, and it is very straightforward to understand and fun to play with Show more

Lean and mean and hungry like the wolf.
This is the most immediately dope feel I’ve received from an app in awhile. 6 identical channels of audio mangling, ripping, flipping, smoking hot modded multiOSC FM ops. The perfect blend of rapid fire easily dialed creativity, on top of depths of sonic versatility, top notch audio fidelity, and breezy CPU simplicity. This bad mother will be your new first choice, all situation crushing app, when you need a modern EDM, industrial, glitch, etc percussion and FX, or when you just want to add a bit of signature secret sauce, causing a song to finally fulfill its epic destiny. Must have, drumming tool, no question. For my money, this is the clutch Bos creation-even more so than Noir,p-which seems to be the BB app of note in most refined social circles. I’ve had the original Ruismaker for months now, as it was the first paid plug I bought after scoring my new iPad before the quarantine began. I’d been trapped in OG IAA iPhone mode for years: Gadget, Caustic, TriqTraq, etc. So I figured a drum synth would be a straightforward, useful tool for my first foray into AUv3 on iOS. Unfortunately, “drum synth” had me picturing Elastic or Seekbeats: vast depths of rhythmic tweakability...whereas the original RM is more in the vein of an 909. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice sounding little app at a great price! But it’s not gonna trash multiple romantic partnerships by turning you into a distant, knob twisting, pseudo-autistic. But RMFM? Yeah, it’ll wreck some homes if you’re not cautious. Show more

    Ignore The 1 Star Reviews
This app, like all the devs work, is a must have if your creating music in an iOS environment. Stable and worth it.

    Solid and Useful.
Bram is clearly a musician himself. Every single instrument, effect, or anything this developer touches is iOS gold. This Ruismaker is no exception. Functional, USEFUL, AND more importantly in my opinion, loads of fun because of the ease of use and stability. Thank you Sir Bram for your over the top contributions to our hobbies, crafts, and for some like myself, a working part of my daily life. 10 Stars. Show more

Love this AUv3 & Standalone FM Drum Synth
This is such a great app for making all kinds of drum, percussion , and bassy sounds. Comes with some good presets but the real fun is to create or randomize your own kits. This app is a great way to get into synth sound creation. Basically all BramBos apps are awesome, and at $5 for this app you will not be disappointed. Show more

    Way tweakable sounds
It’s hard to get bored of the sounds you can coax out of this one. Better than the original ruismaker, but it takes more time to get the sounds you want and it only has 6 ch instead of 8. Beats the hell out of axon 2 anytime too Show more

Active and Responsive Developer, Great Sounds, AUv3 what more could you want!
I own every product from this developer. I am in support of developers embracing the AUv3 standard, especially when it sounds this good. Lots of consistency and simple, but powerful control options. Lots of constant updates with new features. Highly recommended. Show more

    Great! An instant favorite!
Ruismaker FM's twin, Ruismaker is hands-down my favorite drum app. Now Ruismaker FM extends that same clean and simple concept into new but related territory. Ruismaker does a great job at providing an endless palette of electronic drum sounds. Ruismaker FM rounds that out with the ability to create an amazing range of percussive sounds. Between these two apps, I hardly ever use any of my "electronic" drum apps any more. I have a lot, and they do a good job, but this is just so much more fun! Great job Bram Bos! [update 25-Aug-2017] Wow! The newly added sequence generator is brilliant. So fun and easy to use. I didn't think this app could get better, but it has in a beg way!! Thanks! Show more

    Big, booming, brilliant beats!!
The update makes this an essential for iOS music people. The sequencer is so solid that it's nearly anti-matter. Being able to use this outside of a DAW is so keen! I GROK IT!! Show more

Great follow-up to the original Ruismaker
If I'm being honest, both Ruismaker and Ruismaker FM get celebrated as much due to the rarity of AU-compatible instrument apps (still in mid-2016) as for their actual quality, but FM is a great app in its own right with an FM twist on a traditional drum machine. These apps integrate very nicely inside of a DAW that can accommodate AU (like GarageBand, Cubasis, or MultiTrackStudio). Would like to see some additional presets down the road (can never have enough) and maybe some more tweaks to the UI and assigning MIDI notes, but it's a great value and more likely to get use than some others due to the AU functionality.
