I had a Kenwood KMM-BT260U unit, it never worked

It won’t connect to my kenwood Kdc bt360u.

I have a kdc-x704 receiver and an updated iPhone 13. The unit will play songs via Bluetooth. This app gives me no functionality at all except play and pause for Apple Music. It will not let me set/control the receiver settings or input sources. The app also will not let me set Amazon music as my music app of choice which would be nice. Show more

Could not get this to connect.

3 years since an update? Come on Kenwood. Only thing that it does is show the track that’s playing. EQ? No. Audio Control? No.

I honestly am at a loss for words because kenwood makes great decks and I buy a nice expensive dvd deck that I love but unlike my old pioneer that came with a remote kenwood chooses to skimp out on not giving their customers a remote ok no problem…. I read on paper work ect. To go download kenwoods remote app again no problem I’m thinking this app is guna be sweet…..not it’s beyond a joke of a app it’s as if someone allowed their kid in middle school computer class design the app as a project and “parent” was so dam lazy to do the job themselves they just used their kids project and said ok guys here’s the app , like cmon give me a $@cking break all the money kenwood makes they can’t design a good consistent remote app we’re not asking for a super intricate app it’s just a remote app I open it up and it automatically puts on some dam podcast I’ve never watched and keeps playing it and hardly works at all on my iPhone 11 and I could go on and on how many areas this app should be obliterated from its existence and started all over again from the ground up from someone who’s not lazy and cares about the customers user experience since they want to be cheap and not provide a physical remote!! The app itself is good but the ui needs refreshing. Outdated.

Its 2021 Kenwood!! This app looks like a high school project that was never finished! I wont be buying another kenwood product ever! Customer support is non existent!

Followed the Kenwood video instructions precisely. Will not connect an iPhone 6S+ to BT 328U. If iPhone control of your head unit is important to you, don’t buy Kenwood.

The app doesn't see the receiver until I manually switch to iPod/app mode from the front panel. By the time I've walked to the front of the van to do that I might as well just do whatever I was going to use the remote for. Disappointing. Show more

The app is pointless if it does exactly what the music app does, but less effective and on an app that couldn’t be more outdated. It would be such a cool feature if they hired someone with modern application design to at least make it look more appealing. One reason I used my previous stereo’s app over my music apps was it also let me control the settings of the stereo within the app. I could fine tune each setting for the audio, layout, and look of the set. There is so much potential, and I really hope to see more time and effort put into this app so I can use it more if at all. Show more

This app is completely worthless and useless for the most part. I have a Pioneer receiver in my car and the ARC app it uses is superb. Kenwood should take a cue from Pioneer. Show more

Good idea, however the app is junk.

KENWOOD should be ashamed of themselves. This app is worthless with my new KMM-X704 deck.

Fire whoever made this god awful app, the touch screen in my radio will not work and this app will not connect even though I reset my whole receiver, it is an awful app that needs to be taken down and fixed Show more

Why go out of the way to build an App if it will be this crappy? Worthless piece of crap!

It sad to say that pioneer app is much user friendly. I kind of regret changing radio... No option to change colors of app theme. There are glitches that’s been ignored for 2 years. ??‍♂️ Show more

So I see that many other reviews on this are kinda bad as the app has two stars, don’t trust them, I own a brand new kenwood KDC-BT378U deck, and brand new speakers to go with it, as for the app itself it wasn’t too difficult to get it to correlate with the headset itself, I had to try twice I admit, but it’s probably because I wasn’t sure how the app worked. After I got it connected through the app (only took about 30-40 seconds to figure out) it had the correct settings I had already previously set on my trucks stereo system. And I played with the app and through the app made the experience for rear passengers much better as I was able to sit in the backseat with this app and happily change the sounds of my system to favor the rear of the vehicle without sounding uncomfortable or too much treble or base. While the front of the vehicle is also perfectly balanced and still sounds just as fantastic. If you have a kenwood deck I actually highly advise you give the app a try and I bet you’ll be just as satisfied as I. Show more

Can’t believe how poorly designed and executed this app is. I’ve never used one that was this bad. It started auto playing when I started the app, took me a couple minutes to figure out how to get it to pause (not stop - stop wasn’t an option) so that I could figure out what was going on. I think an entry level app creator could do way better. Cmon guys. No playback control buttons or panel (if it’s going to auto play then this should be a constant in the display for control purposes). When I select a song, it doesn’t select the song I chose but rather a song that is either 2 or 3 so he’s before or after in my library. Ridiculous. I wish I could give this zero stars. Uninstalling and NEVER considering using or recommending to anyone ever again. Sorry. This is truly the worst attempt at an app that I’ve ever seen/used. Show more

This app is useless junk! This app has NEVER connected to my DPX540BT via iOS but the same app works great on Android.
