This app does not start on my MacBook Air running macOS 10.13.6

I feel bad giving this only 4/5, because it's a great app that will work for the majority of users. However, I personally need more sound options, or at least the ability to upload my own sounds. Metronomes are something us musicians use so regularly that we eventually start hearing them in our sleep, and for that reason I consider control over sound options to be a very important feature. Greetings, I got this app to see if it can do a 2-3 son clave, but it only allows one bar. Can a second bar be acheived, or added? What I am looking for is two 4/4 bars, each bar with its own rhythm. 5 stars if this can be done!! Show more

I use MIDIculous for piano practicing (and livestreaming) but it doesn't have a metronome. Tempomate app fits the bill. The GUI is resizeable which is great as I have 40" 4K HDTV as a monitor. And it's got cowbell for sound, too! The click light feature is brilliant. Thanks for a wonderful app! Show more

Been using the paid version of the app for a bit over a year now for practice. It is almost literally perfect, except for one thing: the built-in sound(s) for live performance. We want to use the metronome in live performance as our band's click track. But all the sounds built into Tempomate are not very good for this situation -- even the synthetic ones blend in too much with the mix. I assume doing custom sounds would be too much work, so what I would recommend as a really easy fix is to just copy the general sound of Ableton Live's built-in metronome. Many (most?) advanced bands use this metronome as their live metronome. The iPhone app called "Tempo" has a built-in sound that is also very similar to the Ableton Live sounds. So right now we have to use the iPhone app for live performance, which is a bummer -- we want Tempomate! Begging for this. Show more

Update - thanks to the developer for addressing the issue - the click is hititng at -6dB which is better, but still have to turn everything else down to hear it comfortably. One way you make the clicks louder is by using a limiter on and making their percieved loudness greater, while keeping them from clipping - that would be great! Thank you for updating regardless, it is a great app - i would love if could be louder still though! then users could use the volumer slider to adjust either way the max volume is WAY to low. I need to put a limiter on my virtual output just to hear it against instruments in my studio. Please please update the volume to be more dynamic - thank you! Show more

[Edited] The Developer quickly fixed the issue. Appreciate the fast turn-around. Just updated to v4.6 - worked before, crashes now. Alas, no support contact info on the develper's web site, so I'll report it here. Running 2018 Intel MacBook Pro with Mac OS Monterey 12.4. Show more

Simple. intuitive and reliable. Only blemish is that the auto increase/decrease tempo interval can only be set in seconds. Bars would be a far more natural and useful way to change tempo when practicing. Please add soon! Longet term, adding MIDI out and/or being able to access plug-ins/instruments on host would also be very welcome in the future... but please don't ever sacrifice the simplicity and ease that make the product great! I've tried lots of metronome apps and this one is my favorite. It has a clean interface. It is simple to use. It just works. I dont always have my computer with me so I wish I could have this exact same app on my iOS devices. Please make this exact app for iOS. Show more

I just downloaded the. It works fine. However I was unable to find any help to learn how to adjust sound or use other options that were listed on the App store. Show more

A simple metronome with a few extra features. This is exactly what's needed for my daily practice.

Thank you for making a metronome that doesn't sound like an icepick! First thing- I'd love to see odd tuplets (5,7,9) as choices of pulse. Second thing- In my headphones, I can hear all the subdivisions clicking away when the metronome is stopped, albiet very faintly. Thank you! Show more

I've tried all manner of metronomes, and this is by far the easiest to use. If I could request a feature, it would be midi control. I use an AXE FX 3 and spend a lot of time at my desk chugging along. I would love to be able to click a stomp switch on my looper pedal and have it start and stop TempoMate. I'd also love to be able to send midi thru so I could control the tempo via other apps. Show more

Presets, compound and duple time signatures, subdivisions, accents and gradual tempo changes. This metronome does what you need it to do. Also the customer service is top notch. I requested a drop down menu change and the developer did it. Great! Show more

Very nice app that keeps getting better. Worth the money. Developer listens to feedback and incorporates updates in a very smooth way. Clean looking interface that isn't overly complicated but still has plenty of advanced features. Really like the separate sounds for specific accents but it would work even better if you could pick a totally different tone for the accent as opposed to it just having a slightly different timbre. This is by far the best metronome I've tried for mac (and I've tried a lot!). It feels accurate compared to others and has enough features to be useful! Interface is simple and intuitive. The app keeps improving and becoming better at each release. Fantastic developer! You won't regret buying it! Show more
