App does not work on a 2nd device
The app on my wife’s phone shows an older configuration (I previously made some changes to sources and zone names and those changes are not carried forward when using the app on her phone) and as a result does not allow me to control my Monoprice Home Audio Controller. Show more

    Great App
This app is great. Works well on iPhone and iPad devices. Family uses it almost daily. I’ve used it with an intact Flex and then when that died the Monoprice adapter which is listed in the app description(though the Monoprice adapter itself was a chore to setup, but not because of this app). Highly recommend if you have the Monoprice audio amp. I have two amps setup for a total of 12 zones and this app controls both very well. Show more

    Worked great until recent update.
The most recent update has left me unable to connect to server. Please release a new update or roll back to the previous. App has worked great for the last 2 years and would love to have it working again. Show more

    App Version 1.8 Broke control
Update 12/6: the developer reached out via email and assisted in troubleshooting, got everything back online up and running. Overall app works very well for what I need it for. App has always been pretty spotty as far as connecting, but it worked often enough to turn zones on/off/control volume when needed. Since the update to 1.8, I haven’t been able to connect at all, error unable to connect to server. Rebooted everything multiple times, tried changing ip’s, double checked all ports, deleted and redownloaded the app, and nothing! Can’t find a way to reach any tech support, please roll back the app or release a new version that fixes this asap! Need some music in my life. Show more

    No Longer Works
This app is not able to control the sound and only activated the different zones which makes your audio system useless as the point of the app is to control volume, sources and zones. Please take this app off of the market place if it does not work as it should!!!!! Show more

    Incompatible with new iOS 15
I just installed my system in a new construction and omitted the keypads for aesthetics. Big mistake at this point. The app just doesn’t work. I am hoping it is due to new iOS and the developer will release an update. Otherwise, between my wife and I, we just made a $20 donation. I would say the app is at a 30-40% functioning rate about 30% of the time. Show more

    Stopped working with iOS update
The app was fine for years. A bit glitchy but ok. Since the latest iOS update the app will only turn on the Monoprice 6 Zone Amp. Ot will no longer control volume, select inputs, or turn off individual zones. It renders the home audio system almost worthless. This app badly needs an update or a developer to create an alternative or integrate control of the iTach to control the amp into a home IoT control app (e.g. the SmarterThings app). Show more

    Worked for 1 week…
Updated iOS, and will NOT control the 6-zone. It’s routing correctly - when I provide a bad IP app errors out, good IP doesn’t error. It just won’t control the iTach / 6-zone. Volume stays at zero, and clicking on different inputs doesn’t change. I’ve done a factory reset on iTach, rebooted 6-zone…no joy…was awesome for a week. I deserve a refund… Show more

    Spotty reliability and performance
This app sorta works, but it’s far too unpredictable. It might work perfectly for a day or two, and then barely function the next day. Luckily, the ability to turn a zone on or change its input source works the most reliably. That’s my most common use for it. The current volume levels, and the ability to change a zone’s volume is what usually fails. My RS232 adaptor is wired and rebooting it doesn’t seem to really improve the performance. I’m glad it kinda works when I want to turn a zone on from another room (especially the outside speakers without going in the house), but it’s pretty half baked. Show more

    Great app
Loving controlling my monoprice 6-zone amp via my phone. Setup was straightforward. Interface is clean and intuitive. A few suggestions to make it better. These would improve the app to me - it’s already a great app - just buy it! 1) when using groups allow changing of the source for all zones in the group window; 2) ability to have a master volume control for groups (so if using speakers for some zones and amps for other zones the levels can remain relative vs adjusting separately); 3) ability to change the order of the zones/groups on the display; 4) change all zones to the same source vs separately; 5) browser interface (or Mac/windows app) to control the amp in the same manner as the app. Love my setup and streaming music throughout the house controlling exclusively with this app. Show more

    Works mostly
This app works but has some quirkiness. The bass and treble controls lock up. I have to close the app and reopen to adjust those settings. Usually get 1 or 2 adjustments before having to do it again. Show more

    Connectivity
So many problems with the connectivity and IP address. Even after resetting a million times, it will not work with my monoprice whole home system. Waste of $10 bucks and no one to call for assistance Show more

    Unreliable
It is buggy. It frequently fails to load the state from the amp, frequently gets out of sync (showing a zone as on when it is not), frequently crashes. Requested a refund from Apple. Show more

A Must Have App For Monoprice 6 Zone Amp
I love this app! It is simple to use and is quick to load. I didn’t even install the keypads. I use this app to control everything and have never wished once that I had keypads. Saved a lot of wiring and install cost. Thanks for the great app and updates when needed! Show more

    Get the right parts!
I wanted to write this review just to let folks know that this app 100% works but make sure that you get the right parts. I got an off brand RS232 serial cable and that made this not work at first. Make sure you get the right parts. This is a great app that does exactly what you want it to! Show more

Does what it’s supposed to. Missing a couple features
First and foremost, if you have the device this app works with you need it. You don’t even need the wall controls. there are a couple of points that need to be fixed: First, there is no way to move a configuration between users other than typing it into each device. This makes setup and Management a pain. Half star off. Second, there should be a feature to lock out an input from being available on a particular output. Imagine a surround sound stereo is along side this as the sound system for the living room. You may want to have a football party and play the game throughout the house, so an input is needed. You may want to be able to send the same music as the rest of the house is playing into that room, so an output is needed. However that input and that output running at the same time would be a feedback loop that would be horrible for all devices in question, so it would make sense to be able to lock out that input from ever being selected on that output. Another half star off. Show more
