    About the app
It helps me learn drums but this is an app that you don’t want if you don’t have some thing for you beat on but another good thing there’s no ads so no interruptions during your practicing I love it?❤️?♥️. Show more

    doesn’t keep time
Only drum machine I know that doesn’t keep time. It rushes and slows down like a real (terrible) drummer. Crazy.

Timing issues and poor quality high hat sounds.
Warning!!! Don’t get this drum machine app. It has terrible timing problems, limited sounds especially the high hat. There are much better deals for a lot less money.

    Ads
I purchased the year plan for this thinking the ads will be gone but nope. I paid $20 but will never use this because of the ads.

    Timing is off…
The sounds are dated and somehow the timing seems to be all over the place. Oh well.

    Drum machine patterns
This app is basically a large collection of drum patterns like you might find as presets in a 1980s era drum machine. As with those machines, the patterns are sequenced drum samples rather than a looped recording of a live drummer. Keeping with the vintage drum machine aesthetic, the samples themselves don’t exactly shine, but wouldn’t sound out of place in an old machine. It seems like the samples were expanded to 4 kits (Standard, Rock, Jazz, Latin) and there’s a slider that controls the overall pitch. This goes a ways towards remedying my original complaint about the limited number of samples. Dropping the pitch adds weight and realism, whereas raising pitch gives a more electro feel. The overall package is adequate as a practice tool. The patterns are rather mechanical sounding and short (mostly 2 bars). The styles lean towards pop/rock and Latin. It’s not really for the EDM crowd. A small fraction of the patterns are immediately available. The remaining ones can be individually unlocked by watching ads to earn points redeemable for patterns. Fair enough I suppose, and the ads are mercifully brief. After an update, you can now listen to a track before committing to unlocking it. With these improvements, I raised my rating to 5-stars. Can’t get it to work
I have purchased this APP . I’ve loaded on my iPad 10 times, on my phone 10 times. It will not work as advertised

    Great for practicing
This will really help your rhythm playing to get tight. Love it, thanks!

Decent beats but the interface is so, not intuitive.
When I found this app I thought that it would be good to practice the Handpan with different time signatures and tempos so I paid for it, but the way in which you jump from one beat to another is SO incredibly convoluted that it makes looking for another riff zero fun and therefore I often just stay in the beat I’m in. There is no fast way to preview a beat to see if you like it so you must make the journey into the world of page changes and screen taps to find that, wow, that beat’s lame, and then start again to find....you get it. A great improvement would be if, while your beat is playing you could, with one click open the pattern list (or better, upon picking your track it reverts to the pattern page) and tap your next beat without a break in play. However you are about four to five steps away from that with every loop change. You only get one bar, and two fill buttons which you have to physically depress (while you are trying to play along) They often sound electronic and so quantized. And most importantly it would be nice to be able to pick by time signature. This is an octopad living in a Vdrum world. Oh also saving favorites should just be a single tap while your pattern is playing, not the mini journey one must embark on, and it SHOULD save at the tempo you chose, not the pattern default. Let’s do this developers, you got this far, now let’s make this app usable. ? Show more

    Good
Helpful and free. How could one complain?
  • Mph21, 05.03.2020
    Nice but...
I really would love a better way to change the tempo. Can you do a slider control or a circular wheel? Maybe it’s just me, but I really want changing tempo to be easier! I’d gladly upgrade to the pro version if you got that right! Show more

    Great program
I like this classy program. It gets the group right in the groove. Down side, I would not recommend performing with it. It’s not reliable the sound shuts down, it could get you in and embarrassing situation. Show more

Very handy for drummers indeed. Thank you.
    The best app for drummers.

    Almost perfect.
Great app. Sounds great and I like the ability it gives me to create a custom playlist. One problem I have is that on my IPhone the sound will spontaneously stop after a period of time when loading a new patch and I have to turn my phone off and on so sound will work again. Would love some help on this bug. Show more

    Uses headphone
When I first installed this, I immediately removed it when it didn't seem to play anything. Then I put on a headset and it works just fine. Of course, it's got ads, which can be obnoxious, but I expect that from a free app. All in all, does just what I need it to do for my level. Thanks! Show more

    Just what I needed
This app is very simple, which is what I wanted. I play in a small community band and it is hard to practice our charts by myself. This app has easy to start & use drum beats so I can practice everything correctly and not lose the rhythm. However, although it comes free with a nice variety, to get new rhythms you have to watch 5 second ads for loyalty points. I don’t mind that because the ads are about new games and that way I can find new games to play. What can I say, I like commercials. But I wish they would fix it so you could preview the rhythm before you get it. Thanks for this app. Show more

    I like it.
For a free app, it's great. There's definitely enough to work with and it's easy to use, especially if you're new to these kind of apps. Thanks

    Terrible
Immediate and persistent pop ups ads. No sound. Some incomprehensible thing about Loyalty Points. Heat were they thinking?
  • wheeletan, 04.07.2017
    Doesn't work
No sound plays, checked all settings. Tutorial looks cool though, nice concept.
