I love Justin guitar and use the web app all the time. First time trying to use the app today and: 1. Password auto fill wasn’t working (super annoying for those of us who use generated pw’s) 2. Weird that I had to make a new account rather than use the one I have for the web app. 3. The app cannot finish launching. It is unusable for me and stuck on the entry screen with a spinner. I like the way the modules are put together, but this mobile app needs some work. Login fields don’t have proper metadata, can’t paste into them, AirPlay is apparently not a thing for whoever wrote this. Maybe time crunch was the problem, don’t want to point fingers. It would be awesome if you could address that stuff. Show more

I strongly , Recommend this lessons

I’m going to start off by saying that I was led to this app by YT and Reddit via many recommendations from others. I just received a guitar for Christmas and first tried Simply Guitar which moved too fast and did not go into explanation as much as Justin does. His manner of teaching and explaining things I didn’t know I needed to know are just what I was looking for! Sometimes I will even ask a question in my head only to find that he answers it in the segment! Needless to say, I made the switch from the other app and will be following this plan. I’ve only noticed that a couple of times when I watched some of the videos, they do not immediately show as complete when returning to the segment’s dashboard. I’ve tried closing/reopening the app, replaying the video both normal and sped up, and there doesn’t seem to be a reason it eventually shows as complete. I can live with it but as a “list” person, seeing checked boxes make me feel a bit accomplished. :D Show more

After the update, this does not work on a iPad 12, just hangs on the open screen. I have removed and re-installed and still nothing. Bummer

Justin guitar should be free because when people buy a guitar it is expensive they don’t have leftover money to pay for apps too.

This app is great been at it for two weeks …never played any instrument and I definitely see progression as long as your self motivated you’ll succeed

I started playing with Friends when I was in the United States Navy in 1974. I am 66 years old now. They taught me cords only. We played songs like Cat Stevens, Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, and so on. A friend of mine wanted to learn how to play Guitar, he told me about Justin’s Guitar App. Well since I started using the app, it’s just been Wow! Little did I know how little rhythm I had. I always finger picked and never knew how to use a pick. So going through all the modules I am learning how to use a pick and strumming patterns. OMG I need to practice a lot, lol. Thanks Justin for taking the time to learn left handed. I kinda feel like I’m playing left handed with my strumming patterns I have no rhythm. It could be I have little to no memory left. Trying to tap my heel to the down strokes was just like you were saying about tapping your head and circling your stomach. I love learning to your methods. I was in awe with your yearly fee to use your app with all the songs. I’m just looking forward to seeing how my guitar playing will change in 3-6 Months. Mr. Joe B. Sr. Show more

Removed before I even used it. I’d be happy to pay for it based simply on its excellent reputation… except it it apparently is completely separate from the website ecosystem. That makes using it a complete non-starter for me. I’m not going to maintain two accounts for the same purpose with the hassle of keeping notes manually on where I was in lessons, but etc. Show more

Justin makes on line lessons feel like you are in the room with him. Very different from other on line lessons. I have been using Fender Play for quite a while and Justin’s methods just work better for me. Show more

I was learning just a little and very slowly with YouTube videos and such until I downloaded this. Honestly, so impressed! I’m noticing improvement by leaps and bounds - the instruction and tips are appropriately paced, really well explained and super helpful. Definitely worth getting! Show more

BEWARE, the app does NOT connect to the website, which has the full catalog of lessons. They want to charge the same price and not advertise that you only get 20% of the content that you do on the full website. I was suckered into paying for a whole year, only to find out the app account is completely separate from the website. I regret not using Fender play. Show more

I’m self taught to an extent, following YouTube channels for beginners and the like. I had used the free version to get started a year ago, and it was very slow going. I purchased this membership 1 week ago an just started module 5. The flow of teaching is perfect, self paced but Justin tells you what and how much you should be practicing (minimum) and a goal to measure your learning by. Great product! Thanks JustinGuitar!
