organized entire library of 600,000 samples in 5 mins! INSANE!
Amazing product if you are into one shot and loop samples - super fast, decent UI, and accurate tagging. I organized my entire sample collection I have been collecting for a decade in 5 mins - over 500GB of one shot and loop samples, my mind was blown. After autotagging all my samples in 5 mins I saved each tag, such as Kick, as its own folder - maybe takes an hour or two. Once samples are saved in a folder you can then export them to resave them onto your sample harddrive or SD cards, etc.(maybe takes a few hours- overall you can finish completely organizing your samples for your daw in about 10 mins and for hardware in maybe a day or three). Once saved to your SDs and Harddrives they can be loaded into your fav hardware sampler, you can also search these folders in your DAW without even having to resave the samples on your drives if you don’t intend on using your sample folders with hardware (so again that takes only 5-10mins or less for most people), you just have to keep your drives connected to your computer that have the samples on them so that when Samplism is referencing the sounds when you use your DAW you can drag and drop sounds. Doesn’t really get better or easier than this. Yes of course sometimes AI can miss tag a sound, but I would say its around 90% accurate, for all other sounds you can fix their tags manually when they come up, no biggie. Some things I would like to see in the future: 1)NI 3d tagging & Maschine support: I Would like to see support for tagging that when I export a folder it makes the sample ready to import into Maschine’s 3d tagging system. 2)Would like to see something that can analyze the file and tell if its a one shot or loop - that was like the only tag I wish they had - that wasn’t there. 3)It would be amazing if you could train AI models by loading in a batch of sounds, having the AI analyze it and then creating a tag for that AI model and then searching for all sounds that fit that tag 4)Similar sound search - search sounds not just by their tags but with a % of similarity - based on their frequency content etc. this would be super useful to if your trying to finds sounds of a specific feeling or timbre, etc. 5)It would be cool if there was a function to automatically create multisample, like a robot feature which could play through the notes, I think there is something out there called sample bot or something like that, maybe its outside of the scope of this plug in, but hey doesn’t hurt to ask. Thanks again, GREAT product. Worth every cent. Show more

    Filter by Tags
Would love to be able to filter tags so, let's say, I'll see only one shots no matter what other tag/folder I click on. Love the app.

    Wonderful
I had been using ADSR Sample Manager but it was bugging out on me and when I found this and saw the good reviews and took a shot. It's more amazing than I thought. Works flawless so far and I am so impressed by how effortless it is and what it can do. This will change me. I have over 327k samples to manage and it does it incredibly well. Amazed! Show more

Not for me, but Dev offers great support
This application did not work as expected. Update - The developer reached out and offered to assist me with obtaining a refund. Apple refused to cooperate, but that should not reflect on the developer. Much respect to the devs for making a huge effort to try and make things work, Show more

LOVE IT! Please add Ableton Link tho. :)
Edit 11/16/19: Realized Ableton Link isn't even necessary. Why not just make a companion VST / AU like Loopcloud does and have people just download it from your website. Problem solved. Tried the demo from your website & 5 minutes later purchased here. Been using AudioFinder for a couple years and this is leaps and bounds EASIER to use. That's what we want - easy. AudioFinder might do some more stuff, but this app is dead simple and super fast. Not sure how its built but they've managed to make this thing INCREDIBLY fast. I added my entire 1 TB sample library on my external library and in about 3-4 minutes it had everything tagged and ready to go. Like it says in the description - it's not 100% bang on. Some manual user tagging and fixing will be necessary, but that that is to be expected when we all have out own naming schemes and what not. Do yourself a favor and buy this app now. When they add Ableton Link support this will be GAME CHANGING. Thanks a MILLION devs. Here's my money $$ ? Show more

    Pretty good but…….
The software is very good but I have two issues. The first is why does the software require you to “create” a library instead of reading the library whereever the user has it installed like a external hard drive or a custom folder on the computer. the second issue is can you please add an option or key shortcut to scrub or fast forward and rewing through samples. I have alot of long samples and it would be nice to scrub through them instead waiting for them to play through to find the section i want. otherwise great software! Show more

    Amazing. Wow.
This is simply incredible. A total changer for any producers workflow. I would buy this at double the price. One question - although your auto-tagging is ridicoulsly good (and really fast) I have still put a great deal of time into assigning user-tag to my library. So m uch time that I’d be crushed if someone my library got corrupted or something went wrong. Is there any easy way to somehow backup everything? Or a certain meta data file I should be making a copy of? Keep up the awesome work! A+ Show more

Very Beautiful App and Great Developer
My story: I do music production with Logic Pro. I have wanted a sample manager for several years. Never looked too hard, just knew I needed one. So last week I saw a free one available from ADSRsounds. I tried it, it was terrible and unusable. Then I searched for a better one, and found Samplism. Samplism is fantastic. Loading libraries is fast and intuitive. Tagging is superb. The way the developer is adding features is great and the developer is very responsive when communicating. Regarding reliability: Even though the app crashed twice the first day I had it, and even though it crashed once after that, it has not crashed since then. (Crossing fingers - maybe it feels more at home in my system now? or possibly the recent update helped). But I don’t feel terribly alarmed about this: the developer stated they are working on crashes, and asked me to send crash reports, which I did. I have about 40K samples loaded currently. This is one of the finest apps ever. Sometimes you can just tell that some has designed a beautiful thing and really really really wants it to be best in class. Show more

    Almost a great thing...
Please! Please! We need: - Supporting user-defined tags - Manual tag matching I have over 3,400 .wav files that are unmatched. I would like to go classify them myself if you're algorithm can't do that. When do you think this update will be available. I wish I wouldn't have bought Samplism until you updated it. It is pretty much useless to me. You almost have a great product with the announced updates somewhere in the future. I am probably going to go back to Apple and get my money back. BK Show more

    A must-have for Music producers
I intially was looking for light audio player that could run with my DAW without having CPU issues. Instead I found this app. I tried the demo for a few days and was a great sample manager. PROS: - All your samples in one place. - Automtically tagged and organized by company. - Easy to find any sample very quick. - You can favorite any sample. CONS: it is missing many basic functions like - Sort by time, size, and etc - You cant rearrange the columns in the sample list. - You cant play any audio files from finder. - It takes up so much of real memory. To Developer: The app has so much potential to be great however you need to look at what the market is looking for. Most mac-based music producers have no access to a simple audio player with a waveform and file management features like yours. And I find your app's placement is somehow odd. in other words, all producers have DAW and an audio player to play thier samples. Your app is in between those two because you are not replacing the audio player. To run the DAW, your app, and an audio player simultaneously the load on memory, and cpu would be a disaster. You should focus on your primary features like auto tagging, your sorting system and leave the things that the DAW is capable of doing like using audio units and plugins. And If your app was just about the auto tagging I would still have purchased it because no one was offering it. Your app is unique and you clearly have a great vision. I wish you the best. Show more
