Using iPad Pro 14.6 and sounds grt! Had to repost review. I thought software was glitchy, found out it was my 3.5 aux cord going bad. Brass instruments are just what I needed in my Arsenal. Already produced a song in first hour. Nice job guys. 5 star. ? Show more

I love the sounds on this app. Absolutely fantastic. Nut I like to record using the iPad and the keyboard on the app is just too small to use fingers to form chords. Love to see a keyboard mode that you could use after choosing the sounds you want to work with Thanks for listening Show more

See titles… Overall I am very pleased with the different effects

This app works very well with the Linnstrument controller. The app is stable most of the time, but I have experienced some crashing. I really am impressed with the sounds. I would like the developer to expand the sound set even more. Admittedly, this is one of the first set of this type that I own. The user interface seems intuitive at first glance, but sometimes it’s hard to know which sounds you’ve selected due to the multiple layers selected. In other words, sometimes I just want to pick a single sound and find instead multiple layers playing. The reverbs and the echoes effects are a nice touch. These effects are simple, intuitive and very useful, although basic. Please fix the “pitch bend range” toggle to be less tedious! If more sounds were added and issues fixed I would give 5 stars. Overall, this is a nice addition and worth the money. Show more

Very realistic yet feasible to them without knowledge

This is as good as iSymphony Orchestra for way less money. I hope it works in MainStage, that would be ideal. Long ago in Florida I spent an evening listening to a guy playing a hard ware synth that had a great trombone section effect, and since getting my iPad Pro I have been trying synths to get that. With iSymph and Heavy Brass, I’m there at last. Yay! Show more

I use GarageBand a ton. I’ve written over a hundred songs on it and on it, it has a thing you can tap on to get more instruments and I thought I would be able to use this on GarageBand because this was one of the options when I tapped on that, but I can’t use this with GarageBand, so I can’t make songs like I want to and so it was a waste of ten dollars. I would’ve been totally fine paying that if I could use it on there. Show more

How idiotic! can this be. Your selection buttons are dark gray background when not selected and white background when selected. Only when selected is it readable and when not selected it is most difficult to read. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVERTED!!! Show more

Please don't pay attention to the weird reviews, this is the best and most realistic brass app. Sounds amazing, I wish I had it on my mac as well. If you are thinking about it, do it! Show more

Love this for ‘DCI sound’ and trying for ‘Latin Regional’ effect. Using in AUE on my IPad 12” Pro Garage Band...but it won’t work in ‘Inter App Audio’. Your reverb effects do not work in AUE, by the way. Show more

On my iPad 2 the program only runs for a minute then crashes. Can you make one for the iPhone I have a 5s. I can't use this great program and I wanted my money on it! Show more

Good sound, bad interface. Worth $5 though.

I'm a professional keyboardist pushing the iPad tech edge by performing using keyboards as controllers to control 8 iPad app Synths and samplers live. Until now, I have built great sounding horn sections by using separate instrument samples and layering them through my virtual patch bay to create a horn section. While this has sounded very realistic, it eats up much of my patch bay space, limiting other instrumentation. Heavy Brass resolves that beautifully. With just one patch using only one virtual patch bay slot I get that same amazing power horn sound leaving the other slots free. And it sounds incredible. For MIDI users, the program shows the PC MIDI code for each sound patch - I've not seen another app do this and I love this feature. I tested it recently at a show for a very large crowd and it performed flawlessly. This app sounds amazing, is very MIDI friendly and is completely stable - I've seen no crashes. Lastly, the developers are very responsive to questions and comments. I give this 5 stars - easily! Show more

Hoping for a few more features... would like to control length of swells. Is there a way to do this? Would be great to select which instruments are in combos. Getting pro sounding results already, tho... Show more

I just don't know how this app can sound so amazing being its on an iPad! It's a must get.

Not to be underestimated, or over looked. This app is next to untouchable for brass!

I hate writing negative reviews. This will not run on my iPad 2 even with max memory allocated, it's totally within the spec provided in the documentation. I contacted the developer who on their support page said "we answer all support in issues within 24 hours", it's now 3 weeks, I still have heard nothing. I even said in my email I will wait until I hear from them before I write a review, have not even received acknowledgement of my email. What I heard sounded fine but the app has never run more than 5 minutes without crashing and that's with no other apps running and plenty of storage space. To me it's a total waste of money. I have 5 other soft synth apps that run very well and they rarely crash. Sorry to write this review but if you expect any support at all then find another product. Of course you can deal with constant crashes or no response from the developer for support about helping identify the problem. Without a doubt I've never been so disappointed with an iPad app. Should support decide to do the right thing I will append my review, other than that I will blog about the poor support and reliability from the developer.
