    Works well but very needy
I'd give this program 5 stars if it wasn't so needy. It's job is to convert sound files, I don't need to constantly remind me what it's doing with that distracting bounce in the dock. And please don't keep asking if I like it!! Show more

    Great app
Works, but on Bif Surf had to launch it a few times before it started functioning as normal

    Great Accessory!
I decided to digitize my very large CD collection to prepare it for streaming through Bluesound. I wanted the best quality ripping possible. I looked at the WAV 192/24 format, but when I discovered that the FLAC format is very nearly the same quality in a smaller file, I decided to use FLAC. I agree with another reviewer that the Tag Editor should be included, as the quality of metadata is often sloppy and innacurate, making sorting difficult. But other than that, no quibbles. It is fast and reliable. Show more

Does the Job Well with Excellent Adjustable Parameters
It’s fast and accurate which I require for professional work. Does the job well. The interface itself, with all the various small windows and dialogue boxes, is a tad inelegant, popping up here and there with reminder windows, I’m done windows, are you sure you want to close me windows. It’s a bit chatty in that respect and could do with an overall interface cleanup to streamline its look and functionality. But it works, does its job, and that is why I paid for it instead of the numerous dodgy looking free aps out there. I look forward to updates. Show more

Great for Converting CDs to High Res
This app works smoothly when ripping CDs to FLAC. I have a SonyNW-WM1A and the files are transferred from the CD via Mac very ease.

    Doesn’t Rip CDs at all
I purchased the full version of this app thinking that would make available the windows on the website that make ripping CDs possible. It didn’t. This app doesn’t work at all. Total waste of time and money. Currently attempting to get my money refunded. Show more

    Great Converter
Super easy to use and making good quality files. I have no complaints and I am happy with this app.

Excellent but the tag editor should be native
Really easy to install and use, but I reckon that the full capabilities of the tag editing part should be native. I always feel a bit robbed when an app forces you to buy extra stuff to finish the job, which is the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that it is superb and heartily recommended! Sum up: RECOMMENDED - Buy it, you’ll love it!! Show more

    Excellent Choice...
Ripping Flac files from CD’s @ 24bit 192k is a simple and effective way to hear what you’ve been missing. This App also does a nice job of up converting Apple Loseless as well as any other file based audio. If you’re a serious listener I recommend turning off any of it’s volume adjusting or normalizing effects as these alter the original sonic intention of the artist/mixer etc… These effects are on by default so Audiophiles will want them off. Delivers as Promised
At first I was skeptical to buy this app since it had no reviews. But the Application trully delivers! I converted several of my CD’s to the FLAC file format and so far it was a simple process. So far no crashes or and weirdness like that and I am using a much older iMAC (Late 2007) with 6Gig RAM runing El Capitan and works with out any issues (thankfully :-)) I ended up buying the Full version of the TAG Editor to go along with this App. The Free Version of the TAG Editor got annoying asking for a monthly subscription. For 20 dollars more the pro version was worth it. I was using a Free FLAC converter which truthfully served the purpose but I had to manually add the Cover Art, Album Title and Song titles, a painfully slow process because the Tag DB portion of the software was rather buggy. But hey it was free! So I decided to check out the App Store and I came accross this software and figured what the heck let me give it a shot. I like the simplicity to be honest, the fact that it can add the Tags from over the internet and pass this info over to the TAG Editor which then grabs the cover Art which for me worked pretty well to my surprise! The work flow is straight forward and not as painful as I thought it would be. However I did get some "invalid TAG” messages when I used the 'rename filename’ feature within the ‘TAG Editor’ to that of the song title for some CD’s. But this was within the “TAG Editor” and nothing to do with “To FLAC”. I would recommend this app if your looking for a an easy and simple sofware for converting files to FLAC. In my case CD’s. If your wanting to get the labels then get the pro version of the TAG Editor as well. The Free version is purposefully slow and the subscription prompts are anoying. Thanks for reading :-) Show more
