Recording audio over usb from external hardware synth (Yamaha Modx) no longer works. I have been using CUBASIS 3 since it came out. Unless you guys have changed the way you set it up. It no longer works. And yes I’m aware of the video Dom Sigalas put out. That is the way I first learned how to set it up. There is also a newer video by The Sound Test Room (CUBASIS 3.2 Tutorial - How To Record & Playback MIDI & Audio For Your Hardware Synths). It is no longer useful. I originally purchased this app because of that one fact… that it would work with my Yamaha products since Steinberg is a subsidiary of Yamaha. If the Developers need any info all they need to do is go by theses videos above and they will see they no longer work. Show more

It is beautifully app, nevertheless I would like to have or work with two displays to work with it, one for the time line and the other for the mixer in the same time and scroll the time line not only up or down with the mouse to move it trough the time line (left to right, right to left too) thank you! really the best app. Show more

Despite it’s user friendly design, Cubasis is pretty impressive. Put in the work and you can craft some great music for a fraction of what it would normally cost on a PC DAW. It has almost everything I need and with inter app/ AUV3 support the possibilities are endless. I hope the mobile music production community continues to grow. Show more

iPad Pro m1. App lags. Audio drops. Missing tons of basic features. Stick to a computer to get any real work done. This app is a toy for kids to start learning audio. Show more

I would of have five, but sometimes when I load a audio unit or interapp sometimes it like mutes the track without it being muted, even tho notes are still there. And they could use more drum instruments and presets. Actually more presets of every instrument than there is now Show more

Stop. Your DAW is nice, but I cannot work in a serious manner when the first thing I see opening my creative tool is an advertisement. It’s bull.

Only 4 stars because there's some keyboard bugs with zooming in vertically or horizontally. Big part of an editing workflow. Thankfully its touch optimized so that works but the keyboard shorcuts need review and I suspect it may be related to Stage manager being active. I hop eyou optimize for stage manager. Would have left this in the developer support function but that just gave me a redirect to a forum. I didnt need a froum of community votes on a feature, I needed to report a bug in current features and there's no easy way to do that. Still LOVE this app because its the closest thing to a desktop class DAW on iPad. Show more

Let me start by saying: I do love this app its great. I even released an album using version 2 however I didn’t really use any of the included MiDI sounds. Mostly sounds from MODX and Omnisphere. Like version 2 this app version 3.5 it still lacks a complete way to record audio vocals or instrumental solos. There is no take folder to make a comp from different takes! Assume we Wanna record a singer or a guitar solo or a sax solo, different takes over and over to later pick the best takes and merge them into one. Logic Pro automatically makes a take folder within the same audio track, parts of this takes can than be highlighted or selected and later be merged into one comp of your favorite parts of each take. Once Cubasis has this feature and better Audio manipulation it will be Complete. It seems that the focus is on things like the metronome or fx or more mediocre midi instruments that don’t really sound that good. Let’s be real, is any professional really gonna use an acoustic piano from the included samples? Or strings or brass etc.? I think the next update should concentrate on adding real benefits to audio recording so that we can record anything we want. Like a take folders now recording vocals or instrument solos is tedious at best. I requested this feature ever since version 2 I don’t think we need another reverb or another delay or the ability to add colors or to make the metronome sound different, I think we really need for this to behave like a real DAW. (Just saying) And it’s so close ! Show more

After all of the versions and updates STILL...Why not edit window metering? Was this to hard to implement? I mean you have a larger mixer now! How hard could it be to update this and bring arrange ( edit ) window metering to every track just like in Cubase itself? Update I just got a response claiming track meters would bring down the system. I guess Auria has figured it out. I guess BeatMaker 2 and 3 has figured it out. There are so many other apps written for IOS that has figured this out. At the time of their creation the hardware was not as fast as it is now. Maybe your this is just a limitation of your code. You have the mixer view with metering but can’t add metering the arrange window?? strange. How would you know if you have activity with out having to look at the inspector. The inspector is viewable based on the selected track. I think it can be done. Maybe it’s just not a priority. I think if you did find a way to make this work it would be the finishing touch! PLEASE AGAIN ….ADD METERING SO IM NOT GUESSING WHAT TRACK IS PLAYING BACK AND BEING FORCED TO OPEN EXTRA ELEMENTS JUST TO SEE SOMETHING SO SIMPLE! Show more

Crashes - Very Slow on a IPAD PRO?

Groups are not groups, they are actually buses. No ability to easily modify CC values. Unable to rename CC Values in automation lanes. No macros on hardware midi tracks. External instruments have to have two separate tracks each (one for audio and one for midi). No way to set program change per pattern (program change automation lane has a delay). No scales mode. No isomorphic pad modes for notes. Track heights cannot be resized independently. Show more

I’ve purchased many iPad app daws, this is by far the most traditional desktop-class daw experience out of all of them. If you simply want a linear style daw that your used to working with and not another ‘new take’ on a daw, this is the one you are looking for. I’m primarily using it to edit and process custom samples for loading onto external gear. Very couch friendly experience, editing samples has never been so comfortable. Only negative for me is some of the ui menu options don’t feel like they were put in intuitive locations, where you go to import and render audio is a bit of a head scratcher at first. Although this could just be my lack of familiarity with Cubase workflow in general. 9/10 Show more

Cubasis is a great, well developed app. Pairing its capabilities with the iPads mobility you have the ultimate option for in studio or on the go recording.

I could tell the moment I opened this app for the first time, and went on to open the settings that this app is remarkable. I’m super thankful. I’ve been a reluctant Logic snob for some time because it’s what I’m most comfortable with, and it packs so much value. Since this jokePad Pro does not have Logic, I finally took the plunge on this, which compared to Logic at $200 is not really a plunge at all. I’m super freaking stoked. This is a desktop-class app. You’re killing it, and I am ever so thankful! Happy to have Cubasis 3!! Show more

Super smooth, clean interface. Amazing little studio in a pocket. Well worth the money.

Honestly, I’m surprised the rating aren’t higher. Where else are you going to find a fully functioning DAW that supports third party pluggins where you can mix and master on an ipad? I haven’t been able to find one that rivals Cubasis 3. And yes, while it would be nice to run a full desktop DAW such as Ableton given the power of the M1 chip, this is the closest we’re going to get for now. Show more

I had been using GarageBand for quite some time, but I needed more editing software for my genre of music (metal, hard rock), so I did a ton of research on which DAW would suit my needs and I finally decided on Cubasis 3, it has SOOO much editing tools and great built in instruments, it honestly makes my songs sound professional. Also, EQ-ing electric guitars is such a breeze with there Waves 10Q. I LOVE this app and I thank the devs for such incredible software.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Show more
