I listen every day and appreciate the quality of local and national shows. Thank you!

I’ve got the same complaint as others: a story is interrupted by a “Support for WUWM is provided by…” and when the story comes back, it doesn’t start where it cut out. The interruptions happen frequently enough to be irritating. Appreciate and support the station, and depend on the app so I can take it everywhere, but miss important bits of stories several times each hour. Show more

Awesome app.

What can I say? WUWM, Milwaukee’s NPR is serving up great news, entertainment, laughs and some hometown flavor. And with this app the hits keep coming when you’re away from your radio. Now initially there were some hiccups with the app when it first debuted but since then it’s been smooth sailing for me. There’s of course always room for improvement but I think that the app’s format and operation has been steadily improving and I think it’s a great resource for Milwaukee. Ayyyy! Show more

I love WPR. The app, not so much. It constantly stops, requiring me to press play again. Sometimes it quits after playing the underwriter’s messaging and repeatedly cycles back to play, then stop. I almost never get to just start it and have it stream without problems. Interestingly, I have similar problems streaming from the website. My sense is that it’s related to the underwriter’s ads but I’m no tech expert. Show more

When I’m up north and a radio can’t pick up a single NPR station, I can sit around a fire pit at night and listen to my favorite NPR programs with this app and a weak Internet connection. Whether in Northwoods or Milwaukee, I enjoy reading and listening to the extensive local reporting. The app allows me to catch up on local stories at my leisure. While walking along the lakefront or a county park trail, I can listen to live streaming of All Things Considered. Program interruptions to pitch for donations occur but are not oppressive. I used to listed to WUWM in my car on my one hour commute to work. Now that I am working from home, I try to listen on the app, or live stream. The constant interruption of service for the sponsorship message, or worse, just interrupted for silence is so frustrating I’ve given up. I’ve tried it on my IPhone, my IPad and my dell computer. No difference. It is the most unstable app of any I use! Please fix it. I miss my station! Show more

It takes longer than normal for the app to open and slow to connect with the station.

This app worked perfectly until recently now it is constantly interrupted by the opening statement from WUWM and that statement is interrupted and that statement is interrupted and it keeps overlapping and it never stops and it is impossible to listen to. What’s going on? Show more

This app is awful. I try to use it on walks but it constantly cuts to a commercial tell you you’re listening to an app and tells you how great 89.7 WUWM is. Ummm I know it’s an app and the more I hear the commercial the less I like your station. The crazy thing is I still try it every few days. The definition of insane is trying the same the over and over expecting different results. This app makes me insane!!!! Show more

I understand that the station and this app rely on donations but it’s as frustrating as it is redundant to have a news story be completely and randomly interrupted by a 10ish second long advertisement to support the station when we already hear adds to support said station during regular commercial breaks. Very frustrating as often times this leads to crucial details, information or facts being missed from news broadcasts. Show more

I love the broadcasts but about 1 of 4 times the ads play over and over or are interrupted by 15-30 seconds of broadcast. Please fix this!! -a member for many years Show more

Love this app!

Does just what I need, although the lengthy sponsor spots are a bit off-putting. Maybe 10 seconds instead of 20?

I love the idea of this app but it frequently loses connection to the streaming content. This preempts the content that you’re listening to with an ad. Back to iHeartRadio I go! Show more

I don’t like that you interrupt live programming with advertising.
