    App does work properly
Many have written since the upgrade to version 3.0 the app does not work correctly and only imports the user presets (only 100) from the Aerophone. Why has Roland not addressed this issue for a couple of years already. Very disappointed that they seem to have abandoned this model! Show more

    Doesn’t work
Cannot import or edit sounds - firmware V3.00 doesn’t import the tones from my AE-10 when connected to either my iPhone or iPad. When is this going to be fixed?

    No support, no Updates
I’ve bought the Aerophone a year ago. The firmware has had many updates but the app hasn’t updated in more than a year. You can’t import the sounds from your Aerophone anymore, neither use the editor to make layered sounds. Show more

Hasn’t been updated in 2 years
I don’t see how this app is useful for the ae-10 with firmware v3.0. It’s a shame because I’m having way too much fun with the aerophone, and having a quicker way to edit onboard sounds would have been nice. Show more

    Update the app
why hasn’t this app been updated with all the internal sounds of the aerophone .... been more than a year for an update.... every other app out there has been updated multiple times over the course..... keep making things better..... we all bought the aerophone because akai did not keep up with the times, and now roland does the same thing Show more

    Don’t bother
This app will frustrate you for sure, it works intermittently. I have tried it with an iPhone 6, and an android device, no luck.

    This app needs a patch...
I was excited to buy this instrument, but disappointed when I couldn’t layer instruments. App just doesn’t recognize device.

    Works when it wants to
Sometimes recognizes my Aerophone, sometimes it doesn’t. The app and the AE-10 are both up to date as well. Very frustrating.

Fails to download from the AE10 to the iPad
I have the Aerophone with ver 2.2 software installed and I installed the Aerophone Editor on both my iPad Pro and my iPhone 6S. I have the Apple Camera Kit for lightning. In both cases the Aerophone download of sounds to the app does not work, so sounds cannot be edited by the software. Very disappointed in the product and Roland’s lack of support for it. While they say they have phone and email support, when you click on it on the Roland site, neither a phone number nor an email address appear. Show more

    Essential app for Aerophone owners
After I purchased my Aerophone in December 2016, the very top of my wish list was for Roland to release a companion app. This desire was due to the limitations of the tiny display on the back of the Aerophone, which made programming it confusing, painstaking, and as it's turned out, quite incomplete. This new editor/librarian app does an excellent job of allowing quick and easy access to nicely organized voice parameters. However, this app is not exactly a duplication of what's on the Aerophone screen. Besides a completely different layout, a huge range of very welcome new parameters have now been made accessible. These would include numerous MIDI settings, of which I consider to be essential, and also the addition of a comprehensive effects section! This app also allows you to layer up to 4 patches, with a fairly comprehensive number of synth parameters available for each layer. Librarian functions include cut and paste style bank organization as well as storage and retrieval to local files or the cloud. This being version 1.1 of this app, there's still room for a bit of improvement. Currently, this app does not include the system-wide settings placed seemingly randomly within the Aerophone's display. So adding a section for system settings, with separate file saving would be nice, as would a section for fingering settings. This app is definitely a major aid to me taking my Aerophone to the next creative level! Show more
