A bit of a learning curve and could have had more accessible instructions. It saved me a lot of time in creating a spreadsheet of my Xmas cd collection.

I decided to give this app a shot because of the number of good reviews. I started with an album that was already laid out and on my turntable, Permanent Waves by Rush. Search found it. No issues. Then I began with my collection, which begins with Big Science by Laurie Anderson. And, NOPE! Search couldn’t find it! (?) So I think, OK, let’s try something old but currently relevant: Kate Bush. Again, NOPE! So, this app is a waste of time. One tiny little star is all it deserves. Show more

I never leave reviews but this app is exactly what I was hoping to find for cataloging my vinyl.

Was thinking of doing a inventory of my vinyl LP collection by taking pictures of all of them, but seem like a lot of work, then I thought what if there’s a App for that! Found MusicBuddy and what a breeze to use. Inventoried my collection in about a day of 355+ Albums. Thanks, Kimico! Show more

The only vinyl and cd cataloging app that doesn’t make me purchase it a month or year at a time with a subscription, one price and that’s it! It serves my (OCD) purpose. ☝️? Show more

It is not free. Very deceiving. Apple should not allow “free” apps that are not really free. Should say “trial version”

Be sure this is the one you want , when I got the free version and decided to get the pro it didn’t load on my phone and when I followed the directions given me to get the pro loaded on the phone they charged me twice for the app, good app but not worth $10.00! Just be careful. Show more

I have a tablet with the same app & version that will not sync. When I try to sync the sync dies at about 19%. This has been going on since November 2019. It would be nice to have the same information on the tablet & iPhone. Show more

I was very happy with music buddy easy to use and reliable. Then you did your update and now my list of albums is gone. Since I have to do it all over again I am looking for a more reliable app. Bye bye ? Show more

I have about 500 albums and this has been a huge help to get me organized. Now when I am out shopping I have an up to date list so I don’t buy duplicates. It’s so easy and flexible, I love it! Show more

I really want to like this app. I’ve had it for quite a while and it has some really nice features. But, this is what’s causing the low star rating. There is no way to do a secondary or tertiary sort on the database. You get one field to use to sort. And you can’t choose sort order (ascending/descending). Come on. Show more

Just finished loading in close to 950 items ranging from CDs bought recently to LPs that are over 60 years old. Only improvement would like to see is some more flexibility in Export using multiple filters / sorts at once. Show more

Love this App to log and track my vinyl collection. Especially handy as a reference when out and about looking for new musical gems.

My husband and I have an extensive record collection and this helps us keep all of it organized. We always have our collection with us so record shopping is easy. We can even add items to our wishlist and keep track of any albums we may have let someone borrow (yeah right). I have the buddy app for books and movies as well. THUMBS UP! Show more

There are prettier apps out there which display your album/cd art to better advantage. This app lacks the beauty and display capabilities of some of those apps. Where it really shines is the level of data that is tracked and the ability to display it by numerous attributes like composer, orchestra, artist, conductor. If this app added some of the more elegant display settings and themes like CLZ music for instance, it would be the hands down winner. I love CLZ for is beautiful graphical display and themes but as far as tracking data elements, sorting, filtering, it can’t compare with Music Buddy and it costs 3x more. It doesn’t let you add your own categories. CLZ doesn’t even track composer or orchestra, instead focusing on artist only which is less helpful. I cannot for instance see at a glance which cds I have that are composed by Haydn or Mozart. In CLZ I would have to enter composer for each cd manually. In music buddy the cover art is really small, so an option to display it larger or a different theme without media art blended in would be nice. I don’t need to see a cd on each one, since I only have cds. The look is a bit dated. I like the ability to store notes as well for each album/cd. Show more

It a great thing to have if have a huge music collection.the best thing is your collection is on your phone show your friends what you have.

Started by scanning many barcodes. Of the dozen or more Beatles CD’s I scanned, app could only find 4! If you can’t find the Beatles, what good are you? App only found 21 of 50 scans, and these were not obscure artists or albums. Also misidentified at least 3 of the 50 scans as completely different artists. Alphabetizes without skipping “a”or”the”. I really like this App! Easy to use and I especially love that I can manually add music hat doesn’t have a UPC code! Great for organizing digital music and vinyl. I highly recommend! Show more
