    Trapped on my iPhone
I started off with Groovebox and ended up getting Omega, Phase Mutant, & Monolit as well. I’m starting to think that I put the cart before the horse. Perhaps I should have given the export feature some attention before putting together a track/beat that I’m really proud of. Export doesn’t appear to mean “export as a standalone audio file that you can play in any media player”. I have an iPhone, an old laptop, and a beats audio system in my car. While I was a DJ in the early-to-mid 90’s, all that equipment is gone. But the music still lives inside of me. I obviously got in over my head with Bleass. I just want to make music and listen to it whenever I happen to be. Show more

Would love to see this get a update
Bleass has came so far since this app was introduced , now that they have an entire suite of fx and instruments , it would be a welcome addition to have groovebox host them or integrate them somehow. While this app is not quite there the work ethic and the consistency of the company is an indication that there may still be hope for this Groovebox yet ;) Show more

    Killer!
I feel like some of these reviews are from limited exploration of the app. From my use of this app, this is really intuitive, feature packed and completely capable of pretty much anything you’d want or need in a groove machine of this sort. Loving it and for live applications, fantastic. Developer, please consider continuing development on this gem. Really really great in a live setting. 10 stars. Show more

Good, but not quite there yet.
Once you get the hang of this thing, it's deceptively robust - for all the minimal GUI choices, it delivers all the nitpicky fun most synth dorks crave. The main reasons I'm loathe to go Pro are a) it's somewhat redundant if you already have a groovebox like Groove Rider (though I prefer the onboard synth engine & samples here) & b) the drum machine is limited to 12 or 16 beats, which feels oddly restrictive. If it stays in relentless development & keeps offering new goodies like GR, I might pick up the full version a few updates from now. Lots of promise & good sounds... just a bit undistinguished at the moment. Show more

Overpriced, underdeveloped app. Misleading description of pro features IAP
You are limited to just routing L & R, it’s not full, true IAA routing. Description is misleading. This app is WAYYYY to limited and beta to be worth the IAP price... Show more

    Promising but needs work
The best thing about this is that it features the very rare “auto erase/replace” recording feature. Where when recording, new notes played over a loop replace old ones. Lots of fun but I do find it a bit buggy sometimes with stuck notes, missed notes, etc. Please tighten that up. And sincerely, thank you for including it to begin with. Additionally, it would be very nice to be able to select a key/scale for the pads and keyboard layout. This has almost become a standard for touch screen recording so it feels strange not to have it, however midi in and out is a big plus. The worst thing about this app is the GUI navigation. For example there is no way to access the synth parameters from the keyboard or pad view, you must navigate back to a previous screen first and then do a long press on the sequencer. Also there is no way to play the keys and tweak the synth simultaneously because those functions occupy completely separate parts of the app. So you have to record something first and then tweak a sound to your liking. Fun, but not ideal if you’re wanting to craft an inspiring sound as the first step. That’s like cutting out 50% of electronic musicians workflow. Furthermore, the fx on hand are somewhat limited. Delays, reverbs, and distortion in some cases. Would be nice to have some phasers, flangers, chorus. And automation as well. There’s a lot to like here but also a lot to be frustrated with. As it stands I doubt too many people will be biting on the subscription. If there were poly synths, a few more tracks, and some drastically streamlined navigation perhaps that will be the case Show more
