It's unstable and quits constantly on my Macbook Pro M1 Pro. It also tells me now that my Universal Audio thunderbolt interface isn't a stereo output device so I can't use 3D spatial. Please revert whatever you did because it doesn't work. Show more

I think this app is just amazing. The sounds goes to another level no matter what input is in use. I have it for my mac, i use it with my windows pc as well and the exact same satisfying result! Show more

There is no doubt that the sound quality is better. I do love this app, but I wish they would provide this with iOS devices instead of having them be separate purchases. I love listening to music with this app and would recommend it. Show more

I purchased this app in the past without the store. Long story short when I moved to a new Mac they made me repurchase. Did so through the App store and now it does nothing. Paid $## and does nothing. Do not purchase. They never responded to my previous issues. It worked originally, but not since I moved to another Mac and no help to transition. Show more

I put on my Mac Airbook. I frequently won't start or the sound goes completely off when starting it. It also crashes a lot. I find it to be very buggy behaving. Also, when it is on, the sound is not in sync with the video. Show more

App store states this app will work on Mac Studio. This app will NOT open, it crashes each time I try to open it.

...but the customer service for this app is worthless. I had a bit of a problem getting the app to work on my Macbook Pro, so I sent an email to the company. They responded by saying how anxious they were to help me, etc., etc., etc.,—all the usual marketing blather. The bottom line, however, is they couldn't help me, and didn't even know how to refund my money. Eventually I was able to get the app to work, and it works quite nicely...in spite of the non-existent customer service of the folks who put out this app. So just be warned. Show more

While this app is great in providing the end-user a very "immersive" audio experience w/ various in-app options, however, where this app loses it luster is in its performance. This app would just randomly select the audio output and it would at times glitch to a point where the app doesn't provide any audio to your selected output. The 3D Surround doesn't really provide that surround feel, it doesn't provide that audio channel separation that an actual cinema audio system provides. Lately this app has been performeing really unusual, as it would make the audio of what I'm watching or listening in the background stutter. Which I don't understand why. I hope they would fix that issue in either newer current build updates or upgraded builds. Show more

The Boom 3D audio app is one of the best apps I've downloaded for the Mac in a long time. I have very good headphones, the Meze 99 Classics. So, the audio was already more than satisfactory. Words are superfluous, the increase in sound quality is immediately noticeable. They have somehow managed to increase the sound volume without causing any noticeable distortion. Each of the 3D settings is great, so pick whichever one suits whatever your are listening too. It'll make the sound more "life-like." The Eq feature is very useful, as well. Download the trial on their site if you are skeptical. You won't regret this one time $20 expenditure. Also, I don't have an affiliation with the company. I just appreciate great sound quality. Updated review: after restarting numerous times product is working well.

Please consider adjusting the software so that whenever you plug it into an HDMI you can go to settings and switch to a new sound output without having to turn off BOOM. Show more

I bought in the app store for $20. It takes you to an installer on their website, where you see less than a minute after purchase that they'e only charging $12 on their website. Also, over hdmi, the distortion is terrible and it's unusable. So, $20 wasted. Should have bought a pizza, so I would have at least got some enjoyment out of it before it turned into a pile of... i love music but not sure about this program it makes changes to your mac and it is a pita to unistall system wide sound

works ok i suppose but the sync between video and sound os off when this is used

On the 2020 MacBook Air you can't resize the app's window and the bottom controls are inaccessible as are the right hand controls. I've given up trying to contact customer service as I get error messages on the website, here and in the app. Show more
