    Poor update support
While the iOS version works fine, the Mac OS desktop version I purchased from Gospel Musicians, which was sold to me long after Mac OS Mojave was released was incompatible with Mojave. As soon as I upgraded to Mojave, Neo Soul Keys Studio crashed my DAW and is now useless and a waste of money. When I contacted support, all they offered was a discount to upgrade to the newest version. Except they should have never sold a version incompatible with the then-current version of Mac OS. I understand companies charging for a new version with new features. But most software companies keep previous versions (and we’re not talking about really old versions here) compatible with OS updates - especially when those updates happen before software is sold to the consumer. A nice instrument, but not one I will pay again for each time there is an update to Mac OS. Unless you actually like paying for that, I would steer clear of this product. Show more

    Neo soul keys studio
I compared ilectric piano, Kong Module Pro, Beathawk IAP electric piano, and had to settle with this. You get more for your money with this app and I love how flexible it is with other apps including Garage Band. Go on YouTube, check out Doug AKA Soundtestroom, he was instrumental to me making this purchase , Bassilicious I and II, all the GM apps. Great for recording and performing live. Show more

Amazing sound but keymap bug makes it unusable
This app sounds amazing but after playing for about 20 minutes the key maps get all screwed up and the pitches for the keys are wrong - it’s unplayable. Closing and reopening clears it for a while but not a real fix. Worst thing is I can find no contact form on the developer website, no tech support and nothing in the app to report the problem as far as I can tell. So - no other option but to leave a somewhat negative review and rating and see what happens from here... Show more

    Worth Every Penny
The sounds this app gives you are awesome. They are customizable and versatile. Just the suitcase sounds alone blew my mind. The amount of detail in the tone is impressive. This app also works perfectly with GarageBand if you want to record some the sounds in a track. To be specific, Neo Soul Keys (NSK) “merges” with GarageBand and allows you to creat midi tracks based on the sound chosen in NSK. I was so amazed at how seamless the transition from NSK to GarageBand was. I’d say that this app is great for any producer or jazz/gospel/funk musician. Show more

    Nuance
The Neo Soul Keys Studio app is an *amazing* purchase for $20, considering the desktop version for your Mac or PC is going for $200. It’s an astounding value. This iOS port replicates the desktop version in its entirety, with compressed samples to save space on your iPad. Of note, this app requires 4GB of space, so purchase accordingly. The AuV3 implementation is solid, and once you understand the interface it’s as full featured as the app itself. Gospel Musicians has digitized multiple vintage keyboards, notably Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzer electric pianos, with not just the amp outputs, but also the sound of the mechanics – ie. the sound of the wood meeting the tine, the tine buzzing in its hammer stage, the clunk of the pedals, the clunk of the wood frame. I used to own a Wurlitzer EP 140B and I can say that this app accurately reproduces the sound, warts and all (which is what you want). In fact, when I played around with this app on a non-weighted MIDI controller, it almost convinced me that I was using weighted keys. The app’s pressure sensitivity is remarkable, and is a real testament to the developer’s attention to detail. The nuance of the notes struck on an external MIDI keyboard is impressive... when the mechanical options (clunks, bangs, busted tines, dirt) are turned on, they’re also pressure sensitive, giving an accurate portrayal of how a given physical keyboard can sound. Virtually, it’s probably the closest you can get without owning that particular keyboard as an object. They nailed it. My only issue is that the overall dB output is a little low, but you can fix that in your DAW or amplifier, if playing live. Such a bargain for iOS, if you’re looking for a wide range of authentic sounding electric pianos, this is the app to get. Show more

    Sounds great
Great sounding app, with tons of options. For some reason, though, the audio output level is a bit on the quiet side, even when using the preamp and such.

    ...so I love this app
Because I love the sound of these classic EPs and Neo does it in a no-nonsense way that runs great inside the iOS hosts I use most.

    Thank you Thank you
Thank you for pricing this app to sell. Thank you for making it Audio Unit compatible. Thank you for developing all these incredible vintage keys. This is the only EP app you’ll need if you like cool sounds and stuff. It works so well with my Cubasis and GarageBand. Must have for the keyboardist out there. Show more

    Simply the best
Kudos for adding AU support for this extraordinary instrument. This is hands down the best library for electric pianos on the App Store. Worth every penny.

Bought but to big to open!
I would love to say I know how this app sounds like but truth is it’s to big for my iPad to open. I don’t have enough space. Not totally a bad thing. But that’s my rating for now.... Show more

Add option to delete unneeded presets/samples!!!!
It’s great, but I, like many people, only use a few of my favorite sounds and this app sticks you 4 GIGS of sounds, when you only use 1 or 2? You HAVE to add the option of deleting samples from your iPad that you don’t use. Also, this shows a BLANK SCREEN as an auv3 in BeatMaker. Which is not only no fun, but means you can’t even pick your sound. This has to be fixed. Excellent app otherwise, but every day I think about deleting it because of how it wastes 4 gigs of my iPad. I only use 2 sounds from this. And I have iLectric and KORG module which give me a lot of electric piano already. Please fix this stuff, as I’d love to keep it. Oh, and Audiobus 3 please. Show more

    Truly Awesome
I had the original NSK app from a few years ago, and this new version is so far over the top that I've barely been able to tear myself away from it to write a review. If you are even remotely into Electric Piano, or any of its variations, you owe it to yourself to experience this. The degree of control and customization is astounding, with a huge number of well-crafted presets. And more importantly, the sound is equally amazing as well! The developer is very attentive to detail, responsive to user concerns, and is obviously passionate about his craft. The installed size is a bit hefty, but this app is so good that I'll be deleting a couple of bloated EP apps from my iPad that I honestly won't miss now at all. Show more

Neo-Soul Keys Studio improves on GM's already brilliant app the OG Neo-Soul Keys
In the two years since I've been using iOS music production exclusively in my home studio, Neo-Soul Keys has become my go to app for anything Keys related. Cats who were still 100% desktop, (ProTools or Logic or Studio One or...) who were using VST's that cost hundreds of dollars would be amazed that such incredible sounds were coming from an iOS app when I'd show them the OG version. I figured it was perfect...you know, how could those incredible Rhodes sounds be bettered? Well it took Gospel Musicians, the creators of Neo-Soul Keys, to expand that horizon. The team is very approachable on sites like the AudioBus forum and have given details of the Herculean task of bettering a great app. To get the parity they wanted between the iOS & desktop versions, the devs had to create their own custom compression algorithm to bring double digit GB's of samples to iOS app size expectations. That is a commitment to quality and a dedication to the iOS format that speaks to how professional & capable GM is. All the effort paid off because NSK Studio is excellent. It succeeds on building on the original with more voices and features (the clavinets are insane) and the sound quality has to be heard if you're a musician who even remotely dug the sound of a Fender Rhodes. Pro keys players will lose their minds. Played through my monitors with just a taste of the mechanical elements mixed in I closed my eyes and it was like a Mark II was there in front of me. That's the best way I can sum up the Studio NSK app...it's unreal. Show more

    Wow! This is a beast!
I was skeptical of how well this would run on an iPad, but it is like butter! Love the way the UI was handled for the AUv3 version.
