This is a great sounding synth. Audio Unit capability is need to take it into the future.

Korg’s iMono/Poly is the virtual synth I’m enjoying the most at the moment, but the lack of AUv3 support keeps me from using it. With Moog’s Model D app, I can have three tracks in my DAW each with its own Model D instance and each Model D instance using a different patch. But with iMono/Poly, I can only have one instance of it. So, for composition, I have to use Model D instead and forego the features of iMono/Poly. Not to mention that not all DAWs work with IAA, and the ones that do still work better with AUv3. I’d even be happy to pay again for a separate AUv3 version of iMono/Poly. Show more

Please Santa, make Those wonderfully creative yet frustratingly stubborn folks at KORG give us AUv3 connectivity like everyone else on the planet?

This app has great sounds and functionality with my wind synth but cannot work in AUM because this Korg app is not AU3. Please update this app to fix this shortcoming. It CAN be BOTH standalone and AU. Show more

It’s my favorite synth on iOS, but I can’t give it more than 2 stars for lack of AUV3. Seriously what a major failure! Who’s idea is it to keep it from running in AUV3? Seriously??? It’s literally the stupidest decision ever. Show more

I find the midi unstable hooked it up to my novation keyboard and it holds the first note I play, the app seems very unstable, sounds great as a stand alone, sounds worse through KORG gadget, how do I sync this up with other virtual instruments?‍♂️, where’s a sequencer, I say it’s unstable because when the patch gets chaotic sounding audio pops begin to happen, it’s like this type of synthesizer is only meant to be analog Show more

Can’t go back to a standard keyboard after using a scale. User scale does nothing. Manual says nothing. Why would you not have an option to go back to having all of the keys? Show more

Sorry but I don’t use Gadget and never will. It just doesn’t work for me. But your stand-alone synths are awesome and need to be AUv3! Needs to be AUv3!

Literally just needs AUV3 support. Since Electribe already got this love from Korg, I won’t rate their other apps 5 stars until those are too. Sorry Korg, AUV3 is the future and regardless of the quality of your software, it is only as strong as your weakest link. Right now, that is lack of AUV3. That being said, this is a FANTASTIC SYNTH. This is my favorite iOS synth. As close to a real MonoPoly as I’ll ever get. I only wish the output wasn’t so low. It’s significantly quieter than all of my other synth/production apps even when cranked up to max volume. Show more

Still people with large phones have so much wasted real estate.

Positives: 1. Good sounding synth with a good UI. 2. Nice for Gadget users, since it integrates with Gadget. The negatives: 1. Not an AU plugin. All the more important since Apple is deprecating IAA. 2. Why would you remove fun stuff like the Monopoly skin?? I know, licensing... Still, work it out with the game company, rather than taking it away from the users! I will NOT be updating right now, because I don’t want things TAKEN from me in updates. Show more

This is a great synth, top notch as is Korgs other IPad/IPhone synth, if you have or plan on using Gadget, or using it as a stand alone in a live situation, otherwise I would say it’s a good investment, unless Korg makes it an Audio Unit like they did with Electribe Wave. Bottom line is There isn’t a future for IAA apps now. If your workflow includes Audiobus, it could still have a life line but even still, I prefer using Audio Units inside of Audiobus and I actually prefer not using a 3rd party apps to get my sounds to my Daws. If Korg actually read these reviews I hope they make this an AU because it would bring soooooo much more to the Mobile audio production platform and I’d recommend this app 100%. Show more

Another great Korg app! Great sound quality. Highly recommend it.

All that’s missing from this synth is more expansion packs, and to be able to use it as an audio unit. This one of the best synths for iOS.

Adding AU to this already go to app, My production increased by 1000 once I got this app, Can’t see myself making beats on any other app as much I do Gadget, I LOVE this app more than I can explain, It helped me produce like I want to, because I make beats fast, simply because I don’t produce by instrument choice, I produce by sound, it pattern sounds together no matter the instrument, and I’m great at it, thanks to the enormous amount of sounds gadget has, I’m in sound heaven Show more

App does not take advantage of the larger iPhone XS Max screen size. So much space wasted on the sides.

The synth has AMAZING features and sounds fantastic. But why oh why would Korg omit a highpass filter? other than that it's quite possibly the best digital synth Korg has ever made. Show more

I think so, but I wish Korg would play nice with the other devs and add AUv3. It’s the future of iOS music and, while I love gadget, they really should just add AU capability so I can easily incorporate it into other apps without having to painfully fix midi routing and pull up the right preset each time I load a project. ADD AUv3 or face the wrath of my downgraded review! It’s a 5 star synth, but I give Korg a 3/5 for their lack of respect for common good. Show more
