    Sounds great but…
I really like the realistic sound. I like being able to hear mechanical movement emulation. This makes it slightly better than Ravenc in my opinion. Unfortunately I don’t see a choice to enable it to continue in the background. This is a pain because I can’t just open another program that displays my music or lessons. I have to open a third party app such as a daw to keep the keyboard and sound going. Show more

    On-screen keyboard is too small
My fingers are too big for the on-screen keyboard. I wish this app had a way to zoom in as needed to emulate true size of piano keys. The screen controls take up the left and right side of the screen when this space can be used to increase the size of the keyboard. I mainly purchased this app as an alternative to try out some music while I am away from my keyboard, but I’m afraid that the keys are just to small for my hands and makes it hard to practice. Pure and creatively impure
I have and enjoy both the Korg (with Ivory IAP) and Ravenscroft 275 which are both very, VERY good pianos for iOS. I just added Pure Piano to my iPhone and the basic (Pure) piano is itself superior in my ears to these other powerhouses. Alone it’s worth getting the app. Then the morphing capabilities on top of that are just stellar! I was able to create a specific version for one unique application and save it as a user version and can see doing this in 3 scenarios which I will do to serve 3 specific situations (stereo via Demer box, mono in Bose L1 situation and stereo in a pair of Bose L1s). I’ve had my eye on this app for a while and noticed in March (2022) it is on sale for 50% off! GET THIS NOW!!! You won’t be sorry!!! Wish I could give this 10 stars! Show more

    Excellence
This is an excellent virtual instrument with features not found on any other iOS piano. Though it is not the only IOS piano I use, there are none better… only different. On sale it is an incomprehensible value, but even at full price it is invaluable and an incredible bargain.. I would suggest string resonance be on the short list of improvements. Thanks for such a great tool. Show more

    Nothing better
I use this piano for all my recordings because it has one of the most natural sounding pianos I’ve heard

Great app but a few details could be better.
Please give us a way of blocking CC and PC messages because every time I use this app it automatically starts moving parameters around if I play with some CCs or send some PCs. This is amazing, but only when you need it. A feature to disable this would be ideal since we can already automate exposed AUv3 parameters regardless. Thank you! Show more

Very nice sounding instrument and devs that listen to their users!
** Updated & edited review, and revised star rating after e-instrument’s update adding CC7 reception and multichannel midi reception** This is my first “real” iOS piano so I can’t compare it to the other heavyweights. I’m a long-time laptop musician used to multi-gig piano sample libraries like Native Instruments, now looking to lighten my load for some gigs that only need a piano. Overall I like this piano a lot and was very pleasantly surprised that I can play it at maximum polyphony with the smallest buffer on an iPad Air 2, an older iPad. I don’t expect it to be equal to what’s available for the Mac/Windows world. It has a nice tone and decent dynamic response although it lacks the extreme fff samples that one might want in certain situations when really digging in. Also, the sustain of the samples is a little short, imo - something more obvious if you’re playing a ballad solo; the notes don’t “ring & sing” like the piano library I’m used to on my Mac. Still, I’m very impressed with what I can do on an iOS device! I think I can be happy doing a gig with this piano. Show more

    A complete waste of money!
No external midi keyboard support on an iPhone! I have three other piano apps installed and they all work with an external midi keyboard. This one does not.

Good sound, but does not work. Developers no help
I originally gave this app 3 stars, would’ve been a 5. Now it’s a 2. the app sounds great, and I’m really into expressive/experimental piano sounds. It doesn’t work as described. It crashes/glitches playback when using multiple tracks in any daw. I reached out to the developers and they said this is normal and they’re sorry. “I’m using too many instances” . Well isn’t that the whole point of the product? To be able to use and record as many tracks as I’d like? If using this like an outboard keyboard for a live situation it will probably be ok. For producing it’s a waste of money. I was super excited about the app too. Don’t spend your money on this. $14 for nothing Show more

Desperately needs MIDI CC and Channel Assign capability
From a sound perspective I consider this the best acoustic piano emulation to date, for IOS. It offers a characteristic that many piano Apps do not. You can actually hear the hammer attack when striking the keys with greater velocity. That percussive aspect of the piano sound is truly lacking on many piano Apps. However, there are two very important aspects of this piano that are unacceptably missing. At the very least, this piano’s volume control must recognize MIDI CC #7, by default. And, you must be able to assign this piano to a specific MIDI channel of your choosing. Currently it sounds on all MIDI channels. Once those two issues are corrected, the piano can be further assessed. Without these two corrections this piano is completely unusable for live performance, while also using other Apps simultaneously. Show more

    Love it
Absolutely top notch. Makes practicing piano a joy again. The sound is both rich and diverse. Thank you!

    Almost Awesome
This app could have easily been a 4-5 star product however the fact that it crashes every time I load my playback is very frustrating and makes me feel very upset that I spent my money on it. Furthermore, good news is that this is actually a great instrument with a lot of potential but please consider fixing the bugs and the crashing as soon as you can so that this product can get the shine that it deserves. Thank you! Show more

    Awesome but got issues
The sound is on par with Ravenscroft but with totally different tone... which is one of the best piano next to Ravenscroft!!! The only issues was it can crash once in a while both standalone and in auv3. And i’m running it on Ipad 8th gen... please send an update soon... thanks!!!! Show more
