As others have noted, this app won't run. It ran immediately after installing it but once I restarted my Macbook it refused to open ever again.

Since the recent update, Scrobbles for Last.FM doesn't launch properly. There is no icon in the menu bar, and only "ScrobblesLauncher" is listed as a running process. I did notice, however, that when launching it immediately after scrobbling with Last.FM's app in iOS, that the playcounts updated in my Mac's Music library. I realize that Apple Music is a buggy app since the rebranding and update in Catalina. It's still not uncommon to have sync failutes with iPhone since shuffling sync over to the Finder. However, this failure to launch Scrobbles for Last.FM is likely unrelated. It won't even run after deleting it, rebooting, and reinstalling it. Previous review: Since moving to Catalina (and now Big Sur), I've taken to using Last.fm's iOS app to capture scrobbles because Last.fm's scrobbler is garbage. However, manually updating is a pain. I was hoping that this app would pick up the iPhone plays for me as Last.fm's app used to do, but alas, no such luck. Only tunes played on the Mac show up in the "Recent Scrobbles" pane. iPhone plays are ignored. Very disappointing. Show more

I was really impressed with how smoothly this worked. I've used Last.fm for years, but this is the first scrobbler that correctly recorded all my song plays AND gave me quick access via the menubar to my profile, to how close the song was to being scrobbled, all my recent scrobbles, _pre-organized lists_ of weekly and monthly scrobbles... It's honestly exactly what you need if you use Last.fm and macOS. Show more

Though there is a dead link in the app menu for the developer and app website, there is a live link in the App Store. A response that there has been an update to correct issues has been received. The app is still maintained. Also, it has worked well for my scrobbling use. Simple interface and good function. Show more

Does what its supposed to do. I like that it can run in the background, but you also have the choice to open a window. My only tiniest complaint (that is easily fixable myself) is that it will scrobble tracks twice. Thats all. Its great. Show more

This might sound weird but i've noticed it works fine for a while (until like 4 pm I wanna say?) and then if I listen to anything later in the evening it only scrobbles 2-3 tracks. Might be a problem on my end though, when it's working it's fine Show more

I don't know which is more crazy: how incredibly important it is for me to be able to scrobble my songs or the fact that millions of people on this earth don't even care about scrobbling. I recently moved from PC to Mac and I was having a tough time finding a solution for scrobbling my songs until I came across this program. It is FANTASTIC and I highly encourage anyone to give it a shot. Just make sure you set it to launch whenever you login to your computer so you don't accidentally miss scrobbling songs Show more

Had a feature request to only show Title and Track in the menubar and it was implemented and pushed out in a day. Amazing!

Everyhing cool with the app, but It will be better to retrieve some historical info from lastFM, for example the reports for Weekly, Montly and Yearly only displyas data that was scrobbled by the app whjile it would be. better that data be retrieved from lastFM API. Another things to improve: - Allow to scrobble the same way that the official LastFM app: when reaching the half of the song or 4 minutes have been played; - Allow to send scrobbles from iPod Classic the same way it was possible in official LastFM Scrobbler app before MacOS Catalina. Solid app. Super Responsive Developer. I had a crash problem with one of the updates, and the Developer fixed it the same day!! Best Scrobble app I've used and I've tried 4-5 since joining last.fm in 2006. Sopport this Developer! Show more

Can you kindly consider adding an option to remove it from the menu bar? The option to keep open a window like the official last.fm app would be great.

The official Last.fm app broke on Big Sur for me, so I'm very glad this app exists! It allows me to keep scrobbling with Apple Music. My only recommendation is to allow pasting of passwords in the authentication window. (Or, even better, to open the authentication page in the default browser so passwords can be auto-filled). The first-party last.fm app is no stranger to bugs, which is why I sought out Scrobbles as an alternative. There was no problem in starting the app and signing in to my last.fm account, but after a full day, almost every view is completely devoid of data. My Dashboard, recent & loved tracks, overview, and period charts are all completely empty. Only the "top" sections are populated. I attempted the "Import Data" feature, which suggests large scrobble histories might take a long time. Even pulling just two weeks has given me nothing after 8 hours. In the dashboard, I can see my username, join date, avatar, and total number of scrobbles, but no scrobbling is actually occuring through this app. I've tried restarting my machine and Music app and can't seem to get this thing working. A shame, becauase the layout and promoted features look appealing. I hope the developer can figure out what's going on and patch things up. Show more

Finally....

It works well overall, but doesn't scrobble the names of albums from Apple Music, so makes my library a bit of a mess.

The app just won't run at all on the latest version.

Great looking app, but it doesn't work that well. The song is scrobbled to last.fm, but as soon as the next song start, the previous one disappear from last.fm. I've listened to entire albums, and songs are nowhere to be found od last.fm after they finished playing... Show more

The scrobbler not only does what it's supposed to, it even looks great! The features on this are also amazing. Defintely worth checking out!
