Besides the accompaniment variations, there’s so much maturing that needs to happen with this before it can be deemed as a professionally accredited tool. The main 2 things that I have a problem with, firstly the highly advertised chromatic tuner/‘pitcher corrector’ aspect of this app. It fails to grasp the voice & correct the pitch. I have tried with AirPods Pro & professional mic hook up. Until I don’t yell into it, it won’t pick up the voice. I’ve tried to see all setting but still futile. If you simply don’t say anything & let the tanpura play, it will catch random notes. I have stopped recommending this as teaching tool. I will say it has a lot potential once it’s matured. secondly, i don’t know why it fails to connect with car play. So many people complained to me about it as well. Not everyone who uses this job stays at home & does Sangeet. Everytime I’m in my car I have to stop Naad Sadhana & then change to iTabla. This is very annoying to me especially since iTabla doesn’t charge every month/year. Show more

5 stars!! As a naadsadhak, I accidentally chanced upon Naadsadhana, having comfortably settled in with iTablaPro until recently. While I always wondered what a baithak or riyaz session would sound like if there were multiple musicians available live in the room with me; living in the US, it’s always been hard to practically get a full house like that, at will. I’m an avid iPhone user, a music educator, and like to experiment singing different genres, with my main focus on classical music. That said, creating a good music video with professional audio track has always been a tedious process till… I got Naadsadhana. To my delight, I discovered, not only does this app serve as the perfect environment for a concert-like experience, but it is actually an entire universe of infinite possibilities. Super-impressed with so many aspects, I could be short of breath just listing them. Even so… here goes. First off, with multiple instruments both Indian and western, rich professional-quality sounds, and live adjustments, it effortlessly fills my musical sessions. The jaw-dropping sensitive, realistic, complementary AI responses from the melodic instruments as they pick up and respond to my musical phrases, feel as if I’m having live creative conversations with another musician buddy!!! Another fab thing, is the beautiful intuitively designed UI - for example, the recording buttons are at the top of the screen, placed in such a way that my touch interactions to increase tempo while video recording, will not interfere with the ongoing process. Similarly, tempo can be adjusted via the main panel with a quick expand/collapse. The ability to easily save recordings as audio or video and also individual track files ready to export to a DAW, is proof that this powerhouse app, can span all sorts of user-levels and needs. A very important and educational function to provide note and tempo reference/guidance for a student’s practice, with a score, and ability to save presets/playlists with instrument configurations, providing guidance on the Raag notes, exploring and comparing with other Raags, the configurable tanpura, swarmandal, tabla, and so much more… also, latest is the ability to have a karaoke track added in to record to. Whew!! This app effortlessly integrates a plethora of features, yet is presented with careful thought, and futuristic vision built into it. I am always excited and inspired to use this app!! The cherry on top was when the supremely genius app-creator, also a musician maestro in his own right, Sandeep Ranade, quickly responded to my suggestions for improvements, and also appreciated a few of my collab recordings done with Naadsadhana! My best wishes for this app to reach zillions of users and to Sandeep for receiving many recognitions for this award-winning app. He has indeed provided a great service for creativity to reach the fingertips of those who want to explore music to the fullest, without artificial barriers!! There’s a new update that allows you to save songs! No more fiddling with controls every time, you can set it the way you like it and structure an entire concert if you want. This is the best app I’ve seen for music and I use it for hours daily. I’m very grateful to Sandeep for taking the time to develop this for all of our benefit. Show more

Unique app with cool AI features including a studio which can be used for live as well as karaoke recordings …plus the app support is fantastic with quick turnaround time

It’s literally the best app for practicing Hindustani vocals. I am a beginner and the app assists me a lot to practice the right notes. My notes have become better after I started using this app. The recording quality is very professional. I don’t have to manually set the musical instruments according to the song. Leave it to the app and the whole song becomes so beautiful! The app has everything you need - keyboard, song playlist, automatic harmonize, raagas, recording and lot more. I love using it! When I tap multiple times to change the tempo of the tabla, it is not working like it did in previous versions of the app.

Incredible app with it's own intelligence (AI) for practice/reeyaz of any Indian music. Indian classical to Bollywood! Developed by a great singer and great engineer. He knows what artists want and what an engineer can deliver. Show more

While live playing and using the app, starting and ending of both tabla and instruments must be with one button. If possible.

I have been using Nadsadhanaa for last 2 years and the amount of joy it gives me while singing is hard to explain. Especially during pandemic Riyaz used to get one sided, monotonous. NaadSadhana tabla especially gives so much variety that it feels like I am singing with a live tabla player. The newer version is even better. I haven’t tried all the other functions like video recording but I am sure I will get to it. In the mean time I am glad Nadsadhana arrived and added so much value to home Riyaz and daily practice. I have been using NaadSadhna for over 2 years now and I can say that it’s the best app in the market that caters both to students and professional vocalists. The tone of tanpura sounds really good. The development of an app of this kind takes an in depth knowledge of classical music and simultaneously computer technology. It almost replaces the need for instrumentalists and is an invaluable tool for Riyaaz and strengthening of voice. The self monitoring tools like scores and colors helps toe the line for pitching. There are apps which are so bad, that one needs to write a feedback to protect the community. Then there are apps which do the needful, and there is no serious motivation for giving a feedback for meeting expectations. ...And then there are apps which go way beyond expectations to make the experience of the user pure bliss. NaadSadhana is written by a musician geek and therefore achieves completely new heights with what is possible by an accompanying app. It enlivens all accompanying instruments and almost reaches a state normally achieved by live accompanying musicians. The author of the app is an accomplished vocalist himself and therefore knows the best possible balance between tech and musical aesthetics. Every new version of this app keeps getting better and better. One of the drawbacks of electronic or digital accompaniment over last three decades is that they are set to fixed sounds of tabla. This risks the students of music to be overly dependent on the exact sounds rather than the feel for the taal. Garage band doesn’t seem to recognize the file how do I do this? >………. This is pretty much a subscription breaker not being able to record over in garage band………… More stars if this is solved… Maybe even five… And is it true you have a beggars cheap version for people with American food stamp cards? A suggestion would be to allow for a raga specific tampura and swara mandal combo. For example a pre-set option for Bhoopali or Yaman at a touch pf a button. Keep up the work and maybe allow for a few more free options to really get peoples lips wet! Thanks Show more
