    Marshall Stanmore II ??????
    Husband got a record player with this sound system and it’s got a clear, lovely, also buttery sound. The app is solid and easy to set up. Love that I can easily toggle between phone & record. All the super feeeeeeeeels on this setup ???? Incredible aesthetic and sound quality. Show more

    Only works with android
    Marshall Stanmore II only works with android via bluetooth. Does not work with iOS devices

    Speaker’s great when you get it to work
    The speaker quality is really great. My issue is with everything else. Unlike any other Bluetooth enabled speaker I have, you can’t just choose it as a speaker for one app, it’s now a speaker for all sounds on your phone. So I can’t have Spotify playing music while on social media, because everything will play to the whole room. My Google speakers are able to just connect to Spotify and play music. I’m not sure how this and my Google Home are setup differently, but I really wish Marshall would figure this out. Disconnecting the speaker is another headache because there’s no way to disconnect from the app unless you forget the device entirely. So instead you have to remember to go into your phone settings to disconnect the speaker, because if you just switch audio inputs without disconnecting, Marshall will still show as connected in the app even though nothing’s playing. Their support docs only list how to connect to the speaker, nothing about disconnecting. Overall, like I said, the speaker is fine once everything’s set up. And no denying that it looks beautiful on my bookshelf. But I wouldn’t buy this speaker if I could go back in time. The lovely aesthetics aren’t worth the complete lack of UX. Show more

    Given it’s a 231mb upgrade, it’d be nice to know what’s changed. More than a little bug fix.

    Software updates
    Software getting better… good job!! BUT… When you update software tell us what is being fixed or changed so we know what to watch for and can offer suggestions or report issues. Show more

    Useless
    Every time I try and set up my speaker, the app will open and connect to my Acton II but immediately wants to update the firmware which is where it all goes south. It sits there “updating” with a status bar that never moves for longer than 30 minutes. I gave up and just connected the speaker directly to Bluetooth on my phone without the app. Hopefully it won’t cause issues down the road that the firmware won’t update! Show more

    Garbage app
    Just sits at “Downloading firmware”, simply doesn’t work. No support guidance anywhere. Yes, able to connect just fine using regular Bluetooth. The speaker itself is fantastic! Super loud, superb sound.

    Firmware update doesn’t work - forget this app
    I just purchased the Acton II. The speaker works fine but I cannot say the same about the app. I cannot connect the speaker to the app without a firmware update, and the firmware update get stuck at the downloading phase (I think one hour of waiting is enough…) Let me guess, the server is down? Fine, but at least a message to understand what it is happening would be nice. Show more

    App isn’t working
    I bought an action 2 Bluetooth speaker. I downloaded this app to connect my phone with via Bluetooth and it’s been like days and the app shows only one screen ‘Downloading firmware’ and it never happens!! It’s not the issue with my internet as I’ve been using internet without any issues and also tried downloading other stuff which were happening pretty well! Please fix this bug asap!!! Show more

    Great Speaker. Horrible app.
    Bought a Stanmore II speaker to go with my Woburn II so that I could have a speaker in the opposite corner. Was able to couple the speakers easily but at least once every 2 minutes one of the speakers will briefly cut out. Happens more often if someone is walking around the room!! It’s annoying and frustrating! Fix this immediately!!! At very least give us non-experts the option to easily couple via cable/wires while you are figuring how to make your app work. Show more

    Useless app
    The app freezes when updating the Acton II firmware. Tried multiple times and it freezes up every time.

    Marshall Willen device not found
    Very disappointing app. It just doesn’t work. I bought a Willen and downloaded the app but device cannot be found. Can only connect via phone Bluetooth setting but the app is basically useless. Fix it Marshall Show more
