But, the app is trash. It’s actually better on Android and that’s the only app I’ve encountered where that is true. It runs constantly in the background and yet you can’t silence background activity in the appropriate system menu for this app, at least in iOS 14. If you are using this with cables, it is probably a decent system. For those that want to use Bluetooth. Good luck trying to get a connection. Some advice for the industrial designers of the world and mini rig. Buttons are OK. Put more than one on the product. One button is sleek and elegant, but functionally complex. Hold for this long, double tap for this, rub your tummy for that. Silly and misses the point of a UI, the functions should be easy to discover and not require reading a web document. Form should not dominate over the function of the product and you missed big time on the user function. One button does not make things simple. Labels help, yes not as sleek as the mystery cylinder you created but useable. In addition, why don’t you stick with industry standards, blue flashing light means Bluetooth pair. Putting a pair of these in the stereo mode is a lottery. It is inconsistent not reputable. And an unpleasant experience for the user. In summary excellent sound by one playing in mono and attach it with cables, works great otherwise... Buyer’ remorse. Show more

Just received my MINIRIG 3 bundle This app can’t properly connect two speakers let alone two speakers and a sub. To make matters worse it seams to have completely messed up the speakers. Now I can’t get anything hooked up Bluetooth. Even after resetting per instructions. iPhone is on the latest iOS. Thinking of returning the speakers what a terrible experience with this system. Beautiful to look at and gorgeous sound. But unreliable (pairing in stereo sound) and the app has been neglected to the point that it is completely useless (crashes, freezes, gets stuck in some weird UI loop) Bonus points if you find the typo in the app! Show more

As everyone states, the minirigs sound spectacular . . . when they are able to be paired correctly. Unfortunately, this is a rare occasion. The app is extremely buggy. Just like the app, there seems to be no updates for the speakers correct the pairing issues.I bought a 2.1 system. Initially, the minirigs paired somewhat easily. Now, the two minirig 3s don’t seem to recognize each other whatsoever. It is very frustrating. I hope somebody reads this to rectify the issues. Again, when they work,The speakers sound phenomenal. Unfortunately, it takes too much work to get the speakers to work appropriately. Show more

All the reviews are true. The app crashes so often that it’s impossible to use. And, it takes too many steps to get to the volume control. I like the speaker, but I’m going to change the brand. Show more

I spent a lot of time reading reviews for the best Bluetooth speaker to replace my Bose Mini. The MINIRIG is the one I chose. Fabulous sound and great battery life. However it hurts to say this app is terrible. Crashes over and over. Does not connect half the time. It is not really needed, except to setup the sound level range. Recommended speaker. Keeps crashing

The app has never crashed or glitched on my iPhone 12, super solid and jam packed with features. Hard to go back to JBL after getting a taste of the MINIRIG way, they’re just light years ahead. Show more

As phenomenal as the speakers are, that’s how useless the app as. I thought the other reviewers must just be overly picky, but not at all. This app is non-functional. Why even bother putting it out there? Crashes right from the outset. Show more

Love the Minirig 3’s and Subwoofer 3, but the app leaves a lot to be desired. IF you’re able to connect to your Minirig at all it will eventually crash as you try to navigate through it. Touch the button to go “home” and it crashes every time. Read the user manual and learn how to operate your Minirig(s) without the app. The app itself is useless at present. Show more

iPhone 11- app is now unusable after update, albeit it hasn’t been great but it did at least work once you got past the initial connection issue (x12) times. Needs lots of work, while the speakers are great i always dread using the app. I’ve also noticed severe connection issues when connected speakers with app in use. I’m giving a favorable 4 star for now because it was working mostly ok before. Needs fixing though,this needs priority. Show more

No more crashes, loops. It works great on iOS 13 and now has preset EQs.

Nothing works. Full of bugs. Terrible UI. I know you guys are a music company and not a software company, but come on guys, you can do better than this.

Originally thought it was an iOS 13 issue, but my iPhone SE was recently updated and still works with the device. The app fails to detect any devices on my 11 Pro. Show more

App does not work with iOS13. It cannot find my minirig. Contacted support and they have been blaming Apple for the problem, however the minirig updater app seems to work fine. Finds my minirig every time. The speaker is amazing and I would like to buy another to connect with the one I have but if the app doesn’t work. :0( Show more

No longer connects as of iOS 13

For the cost of the speaker, I expect a connection app to work. This app totally fails on the Apple platform. Maybe Android is better, but please, FIX THIS APP.
