    Now add HEOS
This is great. I like having these controls on computer, since I can't fit the HEOS on my phone; however, I have an app for Remote for HEOS and this. Could you include HEOS controls in an update, please. Pretty please? It's drag to have to jump back and forth. Show more

Nice and Simple (but expensive for what it is)
This app does the main thing I wanted it to do, control the volume and set intput, mute, power. It does not do much else. Has a nice clean professional UI. A bit expensive for what it is though, hopefully more functionality will be added (e.g. sound mode). Show more

    easy to change vol
right in the menu bar, ±1db volume control!

A nice app that does basic functions
The web browser based interface for new Denon AVRs does not seem to let you do anything but set things up and power the receiver zones on and off. This nice little app does the stuff that seems to be impossible - change the volume, change the input. All in a nice tidy package. Reduced my frustration level from "very high" to "none". Show more

loved this app immediately after it finished installing and opened on my macbook.

    Ideal for task
I wanted an on/off button and volume control on my Mac desktop for my Denon. I now have that. Some kind of integration to the widget center would be nice. But this is the 90% solution. Show more

Very helpful especially for Zone 2
I like this app, much easier for simple, quick repetitive tasks than the Denon Web interface in my opinion. If you're looking for simple control that you can access very quickly on Mac OS, you should check this out. I found this extremely helpful for Zone 2 in a bathroom / bedroom, if streaming music or podcasts from the Mac, you can control the zone and volume fast. Can also check status of Z1, etc. Very handy. not connecting to new devices

Exactly what I was looking for
Was using the annoying web interface for my Marantz receiver in the other room that I have hooked up to my computer. This made this MUCH easier. It would be nice if there were an option to hide the tuner and the play button (which has a red box around it and looks a little wonky), but it's still 100x better than the web interface. Don't be thrown by the bad reviews. If you just need to control power, volume, and input source, this is a great app. Show more

    Does not work
Does not connect to my Denon AVR-3600H, no response from developer at support email.

    Does not connect
I tried to connet my Denon AVR S9040H using both the find function and by putting in the IP address. The response was "non-reachable"

Totally useless for controlling Media Server Playback
On my Denon AVR X1100w, I can kind of start and stop playback from a Media Server if it’s already going, but I can’t see what is playing, much less choose what to play. Which is the only thing I hoped the app would do. TOTALLY USELESS, WASTE OF MONEY. DO NOT BUY unless you only need to change the radio station. Show more

does not work with newer receivers
Despite the app last being updated in 2016 it does not work with the 2016 and newer Denon receivers.

    Decent but could be improved
Perfect little menu bar app. No latency (slow to respond) like the web controller. Needs to add better volume controls (not a huge deal, but I’d like to dial the exact volume i.e. -18, -12, 0 [ref]) Needs to add Zone 3 control. Needs to add Listing Mode control (Stereo/Surround). Menu bar app should run without the need for the app itself to be open in the dock, kind of annoying. Very slick otherewise. Seems like easy fixes but what do I know about xcode?… How about this, I’ll I pay another $2.99 if you can figure this stuff out? Show more

    Killer little app
I just upgraded from a Denon AVR-3808CI to an AVR-X3300W and was disappointed with the web interface. I sit at my Mac with the TV (integrated home theater) on and used to just use the browser to do simple things like change the volume. The new generation web ui from Denon is horrible and impossible to manipulate the volume quickly and lags so much that its constant overshoot (only has + and - buttons - lots o clicking). While this could be more featured, it does exactly what it does very well and if it adds more features, I hope the simplicity of the primary interface remains). Show more

Don’t waste your time or money!
This app worked fine for me for awhile, but then suddenly my Denon 1912 receiver became “unreachable.” Nothing I’ve done — including deleting and reinstalling — has restored its usefulness. Totally baffling and frustrating. Show more

    works for Marantz AVRs too
Simple little app, does what it says. Connects to Marantz AVRs as well as Denon because they are the same company these days. Controls Zone 1 and 2 volume and source select. Basic playback controls and radio tuner controls too. Clean UI. Well worth 3 bucks. ***Please add the ability to switch between Surround and Stereo output modes! This would make this app even more useful. *** Show more

    volume and some input control
easy to set up and connect — you can see am fm stations in the app and control volume but no playlist, files, or stations in Pandora, you can chg them but not see them in the app —you still have to look at the screen so the app just seems like a remote control Show more
