Honestly, how can the speakers be so good but the app be totally trash? I understand these aren’t super expensive or considered high-def even but jeeze, at $1500 we can do better. Seriously. Show more

Spent 3 hours trying to get my LSX speakers working. There seems to be serious defect in the device’s networking. Seems to be working now, but time will tell.

What a terriable app!

I read the reviews of the KEF LSX speakers before I bought them, so I have to say I knew about the problems with Control and Stream. But, I thought surely a company like KEF would fix the problems. No way. KEF customer service doesn’t even respond to requests for help. Most days, when I have time to listen I spend most of my time trying to get the software to connect to the speakers instead of listening to music. Sometimes Control sees the speakers, but Stream doesn’t. Then there’s the static sound, especially in the right speaker. The problems are countless. I’m either getting rid of them, or I’ll have to get an external streamer and connect to the speakers via Toslink. What a nightmare! Show more

Enough said. Latest update rendered speakers unusable. Shocking low app skill for high quality speakers. You got to do a complete breakdown analysis and fix asap. This is damaging your reputation at high scale Show more

This is one of the worst apps ever! I can’t even use it! Bluetooth is the only way I can use my phone or any other device. Incredibly frustrating! These speakers are beautiful and the sound quality is unmatched in my price range. My god this app is worthless. Show more

Not sure why I have to close the app and reopen it after I power my speakers on through it. Not seamless, and I never use the app (only to check for firmware updates). I only use the remote that came with my KEF LEX speakers. Show more

It is truly shocking that the tuning and management of such good speakers depends on such a bad app. In fact, it is impossible to tune and manage the speakers because the app consistently fails to connect to them (even though they are accessible to other apps via AirPlay). The worst part is that the manufacturer does not seem to care. Tech support is nonexistent, and despite consistently terrible reviews the app has not been fixed or replaced. I feel like I bought a Porsche that came without a steering wheel — except I doubt that Porsche would treat its customers this badly. Show more

All I’ve ever really wanted from this app is some EQ control. In the 5 or 6 years I’ve been trying EVERY combination of buttons I’ve never been able to get this app to engage my LS 50 Wireless speakers This is how it SHOULD WORK 1. Open App 2. Turn on Speakers 3. Type in Wi-Fi address to KEF INTERFACE Voila: 4. Control Speaker over Wi-Fi Seems pretty basic But a complete No Go Oh well At least the speakers work in PC/USB Mode Show more

Last straw

Great speakers, but they are useless without a working app. Returning the speakers.

I wish the app weren’t important - but without it yiu can’t access many controls of the speaker. No matter - I stopped using the app a long time ago. It can’t find the speakers half the time, and is just super buggy. Best advice? Buy different speakers. The LSX are pretty, sound great, and will cause you nothing but pain. Show more

just as everyone else noted: this app simply doesn’t work, can’t find speakers, tried all options

I’m having the same issues with the app- can’t find/connect the speakers, etc.- as the other reviewers. I bought the speakers recently despite the negative reviews. Of course now I regret my decision. These issues have been going on unresolved for so long you wonder if they will ever get fixed. Such a shame that these otherwise excellent speakers get returned because KEF doesn’t bother to fix the app. Show more

The speakers are fabulous, sound quality and separation is great, once you try to use the app to locate the speakers then better forget it. It can never locate my speakers let alone trying to make sound adjustments. Due to the app am sure many people are returning the speakers, hopefully not. Show more

The apps (yes two) to stream music to your KEF LS Wireless speakers are worthless. They don’t work most the time. You’ll have to reset your speakers daily. KEF support is of no help. You’ll need to purchase a separate streamer (bluesound node) to stream music. What a waste of speakers. Show more

Why KEF would want to be associated with this “detritus” is beyond comprehension! If I could give a -5 stars, I would definitely do so. If this is any indication of kind of quality to come from KEF speakers, then I will never entertain the idea of owning them again. As a person who previously designed, built £ wrote controller programs, this cr-app is grounds for having the person who developed it to be terminated. I am returning the speakers to buy a set of Mini-Magnepans or B/W Formation for this desk. At least they work. Show more

I’ve never written an app review. This app is so bad, and so difficult to connect the speakers, I felt compelled to write a review documenting how poorly made this app is. This app makes me regret getting the KEF LSX speakers, even if so enjoy how they sound. Show more
