New update fixed the issue of not being able to load the app without crashing. I did lose the tabs I had in there but it could have been from deleting the app at one point. Either way, I think it’s worth the couple bucks to have an app to quickly write down ideas or a quick Tab. I like the easy to use guitar fretboard as well as being able to switch to ukulele. I just downloaded this app after the App Store says, “works with this iPad” which is an iPad Pro. Upon opening the app it immediately crashes and will not open the app whatsoever. Waste of $1.99. Nothing on their support page addresses app crash issues that I can see. To be fair, I’ll change the review if this is corrected. Otherwise, total waste of money on my part. Show more

Unlike some other apps that kinda lead you on to think you can actually take useful and nice looking notes for the songs you’ve learned, this one actually does what it says. It has a learning curve and needs more instructions to operate but just play with it and you’ll figure it out if you at least know a little bit about music to get yourself started. The chord list currently doesn’t display properly on my iPhone 12. The dots are not displaying on most chords. Everything else is working fine so far. Show more

Really useful app for all guitar players, especially if you have a lot of songs and tend to forget them easily :(

How do I change time signature and add rests?

I started to tab my first song and needed to tie a note into the next measure and I didn’t see this option. Is it available?

So far with my guitar the app works fine. But I’ve tried to make a custom for my mandolin, but the pitch of the strings are wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Show more

I’m new to writing tabs that look so great!! I’ve already had a couple suggestions (since I play less popular instruments like banjo and mountain dulcimer). Phil got right back with me and was receptive to adding those. After a week of using it I love it!! The only thing I’ve seen so far that would down rate it just a touch for me so far is that when I add a repeat the tab is uneven. That’s not a big deal or anything but the repeat makes it go just past the upper lines of tabs. Overall very fun to mess around with. I have a YT channel and I am making the tabs to what I’m posting so it’s definitely nice to have the ability to make good looking tabs. Thanks so much for this app, and the price was amazing!! Nothing else does what this app can do. I have needed something like this for years. The best improvement would be to add sound so I can hear the notes being played back. Please put that in the next update and I will change to 5 stars! Show more

Bought this primarily to jot down alternate tunings, Can not edit an existing custom tuning very much, must start from scratch each variation, Interface clunky with very small mixed fonts, Can't strum tunings, only one note at a time, not useful for me. Show more

This would be a fantastic tabbing app if it allowed you to change the note length you are entering while you tab. You can change the overall default length, but there's no way to change from 8th to 16th notes when entering individual notes. At least not as far as I can tell and if you can do this, there is nothing in the documentation to indicate how to do it. Show more

They've thought of almost everything needed to scribe 6 string guitar tablature: Custom tuning, copy/paste, zoom in/out.

I like the idea of just taping on the string that I want to use when creating tabs, but the app runs slow and choppy at times causing me to delete and redo to many times. Also, it needs more editing options like for Ukulele. Until they fix what's wrong, look elsewhere. Show more

Easy to use tab editor and having the fret board on the same screen is really nice. My first gripe, which considering the price might be unwarranted, is that you cannot indicate how big the bends are. That's when I realized that when you play the tab back, you get only the chords or notes without effects; you can mark a note "bend" or "vib" or "term" but there is no effect when you hear it. Too bad, because I otherwise would have found it great to try composing some licks when I don't have my guitar. Otherwise, great app for the price. Maybe future releases will have working modulation for notes and chords. Show more

This really could be a great app but needs some more major improvements. 1. Please add two more frets so a total of 24 2. I was going to print my tabs and tried every possible way to export them (Notes,PDF Expert, iCloud Drive). Nothing is in line it's just a mess every time I select print. I even contacted the developer with screenshots but never got a responds. 3. Copy and paste is not intuitive at least for me. 4. Add two more buttons to move single steps back and forth. 5. Help menu does not work on I Pad. It would be helpful to add the help menu to each button. I really like the idea of the app. The new features like the strum pattern and the sound are great. I really have no use for it right now since I can't print the stuff. Show more

This is just the tool I was looking for, simple no frills graphic tab edit. I like the fretboard user interface, just tap the fretboard pattern, and tab is generated. Much better than trying to edit tab in a text editor. Show more

Would be a nice app if any and all turnings were allowed. This only allows for open E and drop D
