Great little utility but very annoying to have the How-To pop up every time it is opened (I have it open on login), especially considering those instructions are present when clicking the menubar icon. Show more

Please please turn off the instructions showing every time on boot, or make it a preference

I read all of the good reviews so I bought the app. I followed the instructions and nothing happened. Frustrating to get apps that don't work.

The app shows an alert everytime it is launched, which in itself is disruptive for a small menu bar app. It also prompts you to rate the app even if you already have. Great app, but poor UX Show more

Wow, this straight forward app is perfect for determining BPM…..listen to the song, tap the tempo (3-4 taps), bingo!! it shows the BPM. I needed to orgainze a playlist in a manner similar to what an artist or producer would arrange for a live performance set list. I have a slightly older OS on my MacBook Pro and Tap Tempo works fine with it, Thanks for a straight forward useful tool : - ) Show more

Simple, Solid, Love it!

It's easy to use and accurate. My only suggestion would be to remove the "How To Use Tap Tempo" pop-up upon each start-up.

As others have said, this is a solid and unobstrusive tool, now in daily use in my studio. But please please make an update where it doesn't ask me anything. Or, maybe just once and then never again. It launches on startup, sits out of the way until needed and its perfect. Just make it stop asking me stuff. Thanks so much. It is still worth 5 stars because its so helpful. Best wishes Show more

Simple but gets the job done!

Maybe I am using this incorrectly, but when I go to find the BPM (of songs I already have that data on), I hold the Control key down, click on the BPM icon, and it spits out different BPM's each time, even though the tempo is constant. I was testing this app to use for my cycling playlists, which is why I already know the BPM's. I need something like this in my computer, but not a single reading has been accurate yet, and then it continues to change the BPM each time I tap it. Am I doing something wrong?? This can't be how it works.... Show more

It cumbersome to press ctrl and click at the same time, especially if you are playing keyboards. Why can't it be only a simple press and preferences to be ctrl click accessible? Show more

I love this app because I'm used to needing my cell phone and my computer to put together a playlist for class. Now I just need the tapper on my menu bar and it reads so quickly and accurately! Show more

I need a simple program like Tap Tempo to quickly analyze BPMs of songs I come across, but the program, although adequate, has some really annoying features. Every single time I launch the app it asks me if I want to "conflgure Tap Tempo to launch on login?" It won't take "no" for an answer. And then, I have to click through yet another screen on how to use the program. Every. Single. Time. For the 175th time, I've got it! If it would just shut up and work I would give it a higher rating. Show more

This app does not work. No indication that it is running. No indication on the menu bar. Nothing. Open Activity Monitor, kill the “Tap Tempo” process, DELETE the package. Thanks for stealing my $0.99. (OS X 10.11.6.) Show more

This is a great little program - not a lot of bells and whistles but perfect for what it does. A few taps and I have my tempo.
