    So far so good
I use this on solo gig. I sometimes need a few more inputs and it’s easy to use a bun mixer into the aux in. My only complaints are 1) the effects quality are less pristine than I would prefer. They are functional. It would be great if they were not global on each channel but that is not unusual for lower end mixers with fx. 2) the virtual faders are a bit jumpy 3) the patching options are limited so make sure you have the cables it needs. It does not have RCA. All in all, it’s a lot in a very mall footprint and the quality is competitive with analog mixers at the same price point. Show more

    A couple of suggestions
My ProDX8 has quickly become my favorite small-format mixer. A couple of suggestions though: 1. The mixer seems more feedback prone in the same system than the one it replaced. I suspect the wide-gain pre-amps (which work fine otherwise). It would seem reasonable to have an automated feedback destroyer built in. 2. The app only runs in landscape mode, even on the iPad. If you run your music software in portrait mode then this means you cannot use the iPad’s task switching feature. Annoying. Give use portrait mode on the iPad please. Show more

    I like the Mackie products
The issues stated earlier are why I am holding off on purchasing the mixer. At times I play split tracks, I need the pan option. if this app & mixer can’t get it done I will need to try another company’s mixer. Please fix this. Show more

    Good App (but...)
I was having a few issues with the connection between hardware and App, but it eventually worked. You may have to turn off and on the ProDX for it to reinitialize. But after that it's fine. Show more

    not too bad
I'm only using this rig to mix line signals. To that end it is a super performer. Very clean outs, good headroom on the pre's (for the people griping about no gain control, it says on the outside of the box that it has none) and the FX, EQ, and compression aren't a concern in this instance. The aux out is running a sub flying fader style. I run sound regularly and would not recommend this mixer outside a coffee house, bands should use something with a lot more flexibility in my opinion... get an Onyx Show more

Crashing. Will not connect to the mixer.
I keep having connection problems with this app on IPhone 6s Plus.

    Great, but needs pan
The size of the ProDX8 and a phone to control it is crazy. Has sweepable mid-EQ, compression and effects. Pretty nice! Desperately needs channel panning. You have L and R outputs, but no way to spread things out between them. Thanks! Show more

    Was a great app
This app was great but after the iOS 10 upgrade I started losing connection and it would do funky things forcing to use a different board.

    Since iOS 10...
Since iOS 10's release, the bluetooth disconnects often, at least that's the conclusion I've drawn. I had no problem with Bluetooth connection prior. Wish it had gain control. Hoping an update will address both issues. Show more

    App is pretty good except
Ok I like this app a lot. 2 major issues and one minor! 1. This app needs gain knobs. We have two different bass amps we use with line outs and direct slur outs and the Amps have no control over output signal. Without a gain knob in this app, it red lines constantly and makes it unusable. Most pro mixers have gain knobs and this should be no different. 2. App needs panning option for instruments in some level just like regular mixers have. 3. Ok there are 3 memory settings that you can save so you can recall your settings later. This is cool, except we have different band members and areas we play at. I wish we could like name the instruments of particular channels. I have to use a notebook to remember which instrument goes to each channel in each preset. Just. An inconvenience. If you can get over these 3 things, this app is superb! The prodx8 I have is an amazing device. I just hope that Maxie updates the app with the 3 issues I stated above cause I almost took the mixer back. Show more
