You can convert files into MacOS compatible using this software. Missing a few features, enumerated by other reviews so I won't repeat them. I will something that I haven't seen which that a passthough feature would be great. Sometimes I just want to add artwork to the book. One star for the fact that I had to rebuy the app because I upgraded to Big Sur. Show more

The does everything you need to make usable audioboobks from MP3s: it will convert and format them and even completes the import to the Books app. I'm going to call it the perfect app for that. I also want to thank the developers for keeping the app up to date with Big Sur. My only gripe is the complete lack of visual design of the IU and the horrible app icon. Guys, you have to hire a graphics designer to polish up your deisgn up. The icon itself made me hesitant to try this app. It looks like a miserable windows program. Show more

I'm using Voice memo for recording my chapters. It takes only minutes to put together my projects. I love it.

For the most part, I've enjoyed this app. It has helped me generate some wonderful m4b files from old cd's that ripped to mp3 some time ago. However, it is missing a critical feature. When building an audiobook, it requires that you select a part style, which can be used to designate the length of the files that an audiobook will be split into. This app needs to have the ability to select "None" as the part type. I never want my audiobooks to be split into multiple files. After all, that is why I am using Audiobook Builder to begin with. Ihave borrowed a loat of audiobooks from the local library over the years and added them to my computer so I could listen to them on my iPhone. Always used iTunes even though it often did not provide an easy method to save all the information I wanted to add to each book. Audiobook Builder gives me an easy way to put the tracks on my computer. As someone else said in their review, this just works! Easy to follow screens walk you through what is needed complete with a tutorial. Please exparess my appreciaation to the developers! Show more

I had used Audiobook Builder a few years ago, and really liked it. But after updating my Mac OS, I found I needed to buy a new version. Unfortunately, I have been unable to successfully create an audiobook from either of two audiobooks on CD. I keep getting error messages. Maybe it works better for non-CD files. Show more

I was having trouble with a build failure (My fault, I am using Big Sur Beta and the version of ABB was incompatible) I messaged the Devolopers at 10pm on a saturday night and, though i was well outside the posted bussiness hours, i recieved a response in 10 minutes with the solution to my problem. The app itself is worthy of a 5 star review but the customer service puts them above the rest. Show more

And I love it. It’s simple and effective, which is great for the regular layperson. I like that I can reorganize the tracks to put them in their chapters and and the cover art. I like that there was great customer service the few times I had issues. And with Apple, there are eventually gonna be issues. :) Show more

I have been using this software over the past week to digitize a handful of audiobooks (audio CD / optical disc) to m4b. Program is easy to understand, works very well and hasn’t crashed. (I’m on macOS 10.13 [High Sierra], currently.) I’m pretty picky with the software I choose to use for media-related tasks and this seems to fit the bill for the tens of “books” we have purchased over the years. After the file is output, I use Subler for any metadata editing / additions. Show more

Some of the files I convert with Audiobook Bluilder can not be previewed (Quicklook) under Catalina. This was a problem with earlier versions under Mojave and now seems to be a problem under Catalina. Show more

I've used AB for more than 5 years and it's allowed me to easily convert & listen to hundreds of audiobooks. So many good stories and novels! This app won't win a design award, but it does something more important -- it "just works" and has never caused me any problems. And when I had questions about settings and usage scenarios, the developer responded within 24 hours with clear & helpful feedback. What more can you ask for in software?! Show more
