This app is the best way to listen to OTR and has quickly become one of my favorite apps, period. It features a ton of content that is constantly and consistently supplemented, and the developer is in frequent contact with subscribers. Thanks a lot! Update 8/20/19: I had to change my original 5 star review because it seems that the developer has abandoned this app. It’s still a fantastic way (maybe the best) to listen to old time radio and is very affordable, but there has been no communication from the developer, updates to the app, or additions to the catalog since February 2019. If you decide to subscribe to this app, and I still think you should, just be aware of all of this (and maybe subscribe month to month, just in case). If the developer reappears and resumes taking care of the app, I’ll revise my review again. Show more

I love old radio and this app has plenty of it. I am also one who paid for the old app and had to pay again. Okay, but for a (now) subscription-based app I expect to see the library expanded periodically with more shows and interface improvements. Nothing has happened for months. Without some effort by the developer, I don’t know that I’ll renew. You shouldn’t take your subscriber base for granted, especially as there are many other apps and ways to listen to old radio shows. There are endless sources that offer this content. There is nothing special about this app where I could see paying for it.

I really began to enjoy this app- then when I was looking forward to listen again- FREE TIME IS OVER!! Okay- I never pay for apps- but this is super great- and the $12 a year seems totally reasonable. UNFORTUNATELY after I pay for the app- it still says my free trial is up-and directs me to pay AGAIN. I doubt there has been a more comprehensive collection of OTR in any app. The developer is quick to respond to questions and comments. New shows are often added as soon as they are requested. Great App! Great job! Show more

Who would imagine, much less actually deal with in real time, an app where you download say, a list of old Bob and Ray shows AND YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD EACH ONE IN ITSELF! Not only that, but absent downloading each one, you’d be just as happy to just let them play sequentially?! No, that can’t simply happen spontaneously; that would’t be convoluted enough—you first have to visit your IOS timers, or watch a YouTube on HOW to line them up etc. Real OCD level torture!! They charge again for shows already purchased from the old app which no longer can updated and no longer works. Their excuse is: "The amount of money we are asking is very little given the time and money we have spent and also spending every month to pay for streaming and development of the app" Well my money doesn't come free either. If you want to complain about costs and charge those us who've already paid for these shows then get out the business. It's crappy customer service and a disservice to those of us that must work hard for our money. Show more

This app has a huge and wonderful selection of OTR, however the app lacks a way to mark episodes as “played”. This is a basic feature missing. Thousands of episodes to listen to but no way to mark episodes as played. Also if you only listen to part of an episode and come back later the app does not remember where you stopped. Other OTR APPS have these basic functions as do podcast apps. If you complain about it to the dev, you will get an email telling you to keep a log of played episodes in Favorites. Sorry this is not acceptable. This could be a great app, it’s selection is superior to other OTR apps but not having a way to mark episodes as “played” is a huge disappointment. Show more

Horrible support regarding this app! You pay for the 12 month subscription and the app continues to block access to the shows wanting you to purchase it again! When you request help on the app support they do not respond to your request for assistance. The shows are great but the app is a disaster and the developer needs to repair the app. Apple support only refunds your money but can’t make the app work! Now if you pay three times the price for a one month subscription the app then works and unblocks it for 30 days. Clearly a poorly developed app! Show more

This is really too bad because there are many blind and low vision folks who would really love this app. I would love it too if I could use it and I certainly can see its potential. You all would probably make some more good money if we blind folks could subscribe so please do make this app VoiceOver compatible. I know there are tools out there for developers to do that. Purchased 1 year subscription on 2-24-19...Opened the app..chose a show to listen to...received message...”Must purchase a subscription. 3-15-19...Problem solved! And now I am happy to give a 5 star rating! I have listened to other old radio shows but yours is far superior to them all! Show more

Totally confusing. Abbott and Costello mixed in with detectives, and more. Suggest checking it out thoroughly. Only shown in portrait mode.

Excellent app for old time radio programs. There is a very good selection of programs with more being added all the time. The screen is laid out well with the ability to download. Price for a subs today cheap with the ability to pay for just a month if you want to try it out. Also, no annoying automatic renewal. I highly recommend. Show more

Love OTR and this app has soooo many episodes, all in one location. The annual fee of $12.99 is no problem at all. Don’t mind paying for good products. PLEASE PLEASE add the functionality to allow “mass downloads”. One episode at a time is just not practical! Show more

Love this app. Easy to use and a great selection, especially for an old time radio detective and adventure fanatic like me. There’s a bit of everything.

I’ve used a lot of streaming old time radio show apps, and this one has finally gotten it right. Sound is generally fine, streaming is reliable, unlike some others, and the selection of shows is huge. I don’t mind paying the modest yearly fee for this one! Show more
