I was able to use my iPhone to record an episode of my podcast when TX power was out for 3 days. I normally use a multi thousand $ pro recording station but with an extensive power outage all that was unusable. So I had to use my phone. Thankfully Backpack Studio was up to the task! The noise gate performed flawlessly and kept the podcast sounding pro quality. I’m really glad I reached out to the author a year ago to suggest he add a gate and helped him test it after he did! Love this app for podcasts

All the quality features allow for a superb recording. The noise gate is a lifesaver in a less than ideal environment. Adding an iRig and a good dynamic mic yields excellent results. I am amazed. Show more

Hi my name is Jessica and I am a blind user of this app recently I’ve tried to make audio recordings into videos using the app and it’s not working it will start analyzing the video and get to like 60 or 72% and then the Apple automatically crash end it takes me back to my home screen on my phone please fix this thank you Show more

If this app had video integration so I could record using my front facing camera and Apple Watch integration so I could operate samples or notes without having to touch the screen, it would be the PERFECT podcasting app. Show more

I Love the app, but for about three months, it’s been crashing when I try to save as a video. Sometimes, it will let me do it, but most times, it won't. Show more

I wish I could monitor the mic even when I am not in the app. Same with recording. And will there ever be stereo recording for the newer phone devices like other apps are doing? That would be awesome. Show more

Withholding one star due to no proper mouse or trackpad support on iOS.

The app quits unexpectedly when you’re tying to add album art to any saved audio file or podcast.

This is the best thing to happen to radio since the advent of the Internet....

Downloaded the backpack APP and I was unable to upload any files -you cant access Apple Music- no google drive access.

Been using it forever. The dark pad after playing it is terrible for me because I use the same pad many times in a recording and I can’t see what I’m doing on the screen now. I hope there is an option to turn this feature off in the future. I may have to shell out the money for a Rode Procaster or something because it’s a real issue for me. I recommend this app highly if you are starting a podcast. It’s really really good. Show more
