I really like this app, compared to Spotify’s notifications of new releases (i.e The Bell). The only issue though, is that under the bell icon in Spotify, new singles from new albums appear regularly. However, on Music Harbor, if the new single is not released as a “standalone” single and instead just unlocked from the new album, then for some reason it does not appear in the new releases. So therefore I will miss the release of the song because of that, if I don’t check Spotify also (which I’d like to not have to do because I prefer Apple Music). An example would be, Lorna Shore has a new album coming in October. They released another single yesterday. It showed up under Spotify’s bell notification, but in the music harbor app, it did not show anything was released from them, so I would have never known. Show more

Must be ran by a record label because on the outside it’s everything you’ve dreamt of but just before you sign the dotted line they let you know the app is indeed $6. WHO CARES IF YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE APP FOR FREE IF IT COSTS MONEY AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD IT? $6 won’t break anyone but I really don’t like financial surprises of any sort because it tells you exactly who you’re dealing with. I would have purchased this had it been made clear it was $6 up front. Show more

Have you ever come across an artist on Apple Music and you wanted to follow them to get all their releases? Then you realize that Apple Music doesn’t have that feature? Well this is the app for you! MusicHarbor gives you all the social things that Apple Music doesn’t currently have. You can follow artists, you can follow labels (if you upgrade the app) and you can add them to your playlists in Apple Music. I love it and think it’s great, so much so that I actually paid the upgrade to the pro version because I want to support this developer and the app. Five stars all across the way and I highly suggest that you get this app as soon as possible! There are a few very minor updates that I would like to see, like some more inteligent categorization of live albums, or automatic hiding of duplicate albums that only difffer by letter casing, but this is way better than relying on Spotify or Apple Music to let me know when new music has been released. This app fills in the missing features that Apple Music should have natively. So easy to use. Just add the artist you want to track and bam it’s search tool pops up artist just as Apple Music would. And it even allows you to add the music right from this app into your Apple Music library. Soooo good. I’m sad I just learned about this app. Show more

Every time I open Apple Music and search for new releases I want to bash my head in. This app solves all of my Apple Music complaints simply and elegantly. Immediately obvious this dev is a music lover as you can instantly cut to the artists, and types of releases (filter to only show full albums) you most care about. Honestly one of the most “real-life” impactful apps I’ve ever used. Take my money on iOS and Mac, you’ve earned every penny! Show more
