literally the only reason i got this doesn’t work can’t make playlists based on BPM

Great app! Would be a 5 star if it had widgets!

Tried to make a playlist to run to and this app was recommended because it lets you curate using beats per minute. I tried making a playlist between 150 and 165bpm and it couldn't come up with a single song out of 700 that I fed it even though so many were in that range. Show more

My playlist won’t open Apple Music and that’s the only reason I bought this app so I could download all my music from the playlist

This app is great and lets you make smart playlists with just a few strokes of your finger, but it doesn’t work for the play count thing. I’ve listened to songs much more then the app says, and I’ve seen a song say that it’s been played 7 times, then the next day it says it’s only been played 2 times. How is this possible?! I will continue to use the app but please fix this developer. Show more

I first got this app because I wanted a way to make smart playlists on my phone, since I had to use a computer otherwise. It started out brilliantly, just a few minor bugs that were easy to look past. I made tons of playlists and enjoyed creating them all. But now, after a while of having the app- I can no longer make playlists. No matter what I attempt to do, no songs show up in the playlists I’ve been trying to create- they just come out blank. I’ve tried to make multiple playlists in the span of about 2 months, but no matter when or how I try… it just doesn’t work. I’d love for this to be fixed so I can get back to making playlists and create some that I’ve been meaning to make for a while!! Otherwise, without this issue, the app would be pretty close to perfect. A good 4.5 stars. Show more

UPDATED: With further testing I’ve learned more about when the ‘last played’ data fails to update. When I use a single set of headphones, or the built-in device speaker, or a single airplay speaker, everything works as expected. Hooray! But when I use two airplay speakers together, which is my normal household setup, the last-played dates never seem to update. That sounds like a problem with Apple’s systems, and not this app. ORIGINAL: I’m disappointed. I used this app to create a “Recently Played” playlist, based on the rule: “Last played within the last six months.” The playlist included exactly the songs I expected it to. Then I used the Apple Music app to play an album I hadn’t played in a year. Minutes or days later, those songs are still missing from the Miximum playlist. The app is much less useful to me if the playlists don’t update automatically. And the app description suggests that they should. It’s disappointing. Show more

I like to run on a certain pace and Mixium is the best source of ever refreshing playlists with exactly the right pace. Just one request: can you let us sort a list by ascending bpm? That would help to warm up in the beginning and run ever faster after. Show more

Didn’t sort music by BPM despite claim it would.

This is a must have for Apple Music. I was tired of listening same songs. This allows you to circumvent Apple Music’s algorithm leading to narrowing set of song played over and over again. This app saved Apple Music for me. I was going to switch to Spotify, which seems the same problem with Apple Music. After testing both and started searching for third party solutions. This is the app you need!! Show more

Since the release of iPad OS 15 and iOS 15 playlist no longer populate. When you select “make a new playlist,” then select the playlist with the song you wish to populate your new playlist with the new playlist remains empty. But it was great before that. Show more

The ratings functionality doesn’t really work. Probably Apple’s fault, but after rating thousands of songs in Cs Music, most show up again later in my “Unrated” mix. This happens repeatedly, consistently, every day. This functionality was the ONLY reason I bought this app. Would be amazing if it really worked. Show more

This is easily one of my most used apps on my phone! One issue I recently ran into is that I ran into results that included Audiobooks from the books app? Any way to exclude these from the results? Maybe this one is just me continually fat fingering my screen, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tapped the text space when editing a rule and accidentally hit the delete button that deletes the whole group… That REALLY sucks… Also, is there a way to include/exclude music videos? I’ve been trying to sort by BPM and none of the groupings work, it just gives me the same order of the playlist

Love this app. Fills a basic and much needed gap in Apple Music’s missing features. Super easy to set up and highly configurable, I thoroughly recommend Miximum. Would love to see Apple Watch compatibility since I use my watch for music any time I’m active. Show more

I have a slightly convoluted, Rube Goldberg-esque way of making playlists. Miximum has automated a lot of it.

This is one of my very favorite apps. You can create, update and edit all of your playlists using simple ‘rules’ such as album, artist, genre, release date and more. You can even select songs by the number of times you have played them or how recently you’ve listened to them. This is a free app without ads.The developer works hard to keep the app updated, bug free and to provide user support. If you like, there is a tip button in the settings where you can show your appreciation. Show more

Enables a feature that seems is beyond capabilities of native Apple Music app. Fantastic.

There is a confirmed problem with Alexa and Apple Music, where the shuffle function simply does not work on large lists. This app has the potential to fix my issue once and for all, but needs a couple of tweaks to be perfect, and could be shared as answers on the many thousand thread responses of frustrated Alexa/Apple users. Right now this fixes my issue in a clunky way, in that I can open the app on a regular basis, open my mix, select random for sort again and saved it to a playlist that my Alexa routine calls. This works only AFTER deleting the existing playlist. What the hordes of frustrated Alexa users out there would love to see is a single button or right click to automate the shuffling and OVERWRITE the playlist of the same name in Apple Music. Bonus points for integrating with iOS Automator app to do it in one click! Great work! If you make these changes, I promise to spend some time promoting it for you in the many threads I talked about. That would make it worth much more than $2.99. Show more
