This app is simply designed to get you to register your device for warranty purposes. It has some sort of bizarre augmented reality function that is worthless. It has a white noise generator supposedly for breaking in the speaker. …and a means of contacting tech support which I did not use. I was hoping for some sort of control over the audio and light features of my Rockbox XL. None such exist in this app. The audio quality of my particular unit is poor. It goes from super quiet to very loud but there is no depth to the sound field. To be fair, this could be due to my unit being refurbished and lightly damaged possibly during shipping. This unit will be going back unless the seller will take $20 for it. I will update this review when/if I get a replacement unit. Show more

It appears that it does not support my brand-new Hydramini everythingproof speaker. So I can’t pair it. It seems this app is just a way to get your contact information, which I did not give them. I was hoping to pair it so I could view the battery level which might make this app useful. But I can’t so I will just delete this useless app. Show more

The app doesn’t work, plain and simple..

My phone wouldn’t pair with my Altec speakers. I was following the manual instructions. So I downloaded this App and within a few minutes, late at night, I was texting with Altec Tech Support. A different method of pairing was suggested and that method worked! My phone and speakers are now paired. Unbelievably quick service. Thats what this App is for - - to get quick tech support. Totally USELESS, if you attempted to make a WORSE App, it’d probably be better than this crap. Go back to the drawing board and make an app that people can actually use. Show more

None of the features of the app worked aside from the device registration. Complete waste of time.

I downloaded this app thinking that I’d be able to tune stuff on my boombox but… nope! As others have stated, you can’t do anything here other than “break in” your speakers with some white noise (and I guess warranty claims) Anyway, the website lies, you can’t do *any of the following*: “Download the Just Listen App to fully customize your RockBox XL. Control your lighting modes, set EQ preferences, and discovery all the Altec Lansing has to offer!” Show more

I don’t see the point at all

Just a product catalogue, useless.

new altec headphones arrived so i connected them to my phone and started using them. 10 minutes in they start beeping non stop. The information in the box led me to this app. This app couldnt tell if i was even connected to headphones let along altec lansing headphones. The app contained no additional FAQ info or info about the beeping. I went through help chat in app which never responded to me. The sole purpose of this app is to advertise other altec lansing products - which i can only assume work as poorly as these headphones and this app. bad headphones, worse app. Show more

It does nothing but take your information to sell. THATS IT NOTHING MORE. Don’t get sucked in read the reviews!

The app is junk as it portrays the ability to reach out to the support team. It “Says” they answer IMMEDIATELY. Not so. I waited quite awhile to get no help. Then, when my new earbuds once again failed, I NEVER got any answer from the 24x7 help desk. The app says it has tutorials for the various products, yet, those don’t work. The app is just as bad as the company’s website that lacks utility. I was looking forward to my purchase today of the earbuds. Yet, given the problems that I experienced there, plus the bad app, website and lack of help, I’m returning it tomorrow. Show more

Perhaps we are all destined to learn the hard way! There should be a law against these types of useless apps. Why ALTEC waisted the feeble effort in putting this app together is beyond any imagination. Those that say “it’s great for Support” don’t take into account the time and effort it takes to add the app to your device. Support can easily be accomplished in more efficient ways. Anyhow, deleted/trash! Shame on ALTEC for spinning such nonsense! Makes one wonder if their products deserve similar fates? Show more

I downloaded this app to get in touch with customer support and it works well. The chat person was pleasant, quick, and efficiently solved my problem. Perfect. I also found out the app lets you keep track of your Altec Lansing products in a little inventory list. That’s pretty neat as I have multiple AL products. The product information is limited and only has additional info for a few products. But If you need to chat with customer support, this is the way to go. Show more

The app won’t work with my new 2020 headphones so the sound is constantly low and unexciting . The product I bought is to new and doesn’t show up on the application.Waiting for the update to change my review. Show more

Never have I ever experienced such a useless app. You can’t even control any of the functionality through the app and it doesn’t give you any information about your headphones i.e. battery life, being able to switch between music and noise cancellation seamlessly etc ?. ComfortQ+ Warm Up failed. Keeps asking to pair headphones. Tried unpairing, pairing, the tried Warm Up.....asks to pair headphones. Take my word for it. THEY ARE PAIRED!! I’m listening to music right now. Punch your product dev in thier heads and tell them to try again. Show more

I thought this was a great company, and a great product. Past tense ! I called their customer service, to inquire about a replacement for an Altec Lansing Amplified Speaker System GS 1021 (2.1) AC Adapter. Not only could their customer service understand why I had or used a system this old, but could not even give me the Specs on the AC Adaptor for this system, so that I don’t burnout the system. This is not a good way to run a corporation, nor is it a good P.R. Move. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed ! ! ! 1 star. Show more

Everything by this company is a complete joke. Seriously, spend a little extra money on something decent.

This app does not have a lot of functionality. I could not get the “warmup” file to play, kept saying to pair the earbuds. I sent an email with the app and that bounced back saying the support address does not exist. Show more
