    Always losing its sound from tv so I’m having to reconnect to tv with app on my phone a real inconvenience even more when my husband is watching and I’m not home? Show more

    Awesome Sound
    The sound of this soundbar is of the charts to my ears with the 3D surround on! Music got that beautiful deep bass, and you feel it extremely vivid, almost like the band is playing in front of you! (I listened to Donald Fagen’s Album, Surround Sound Grammy winner, Morph The Cat, and it sounds unbelievable !!) Sub got an independent volume, which is fantastic/convenient, Every preset button does what they’re supposed to; like movie, game, etc… And the price was great! Was 300, got it for 200 on sale at Costco! Show more

    Issues with Alexa
    I don’t want Alexa and turned it off immediately after installing the bar. However, after the last software update it turned on automatically without asking permission or setting changes. I switched the Always-on mode off again but still she will activate it you (my kids for example!) call her. I had to log out to any Amazon/Alexa account linked to the Yamaha software so that she is not working (apparently with no account cannot work) but still if you call Alexa you see the light turns on (yellow instead of blu) meaning the always on mode is still on!     Poor user interface
    You can control the sound bar well enough but you have to jump through multiple windows to get to all the settings and it’s not always clear how to move back and forth through the windows. Developers just need to clean up the GUI and this could be 5 stars. Show more

    I have a bug with Spotify every thing else works
    I have a bug when I play music through Spotify using the WiFi network. Then switch to using the tv input. Once the tv is shut off instead of the bar powering down it defaults to playing a looped clip of the last played song on Spotify I used before switching to the tv input. Doesn’t matter if I pause or close the Spotify app on my phone either. It’s a pain because I just want the bar to turn off when I’m done watching tv. Or maybe my bar is broken...Seems like a hardware thing? Show more

    Worked once
    I was able to set up the sound bar originally but now when I open the app it just says searching for SoundBar even though the sound bar has a light on to indicate that it is connected to my Wi-Fi. Since the SoundBar thinks that it’s hooked up to my Wi-Fi I don’t understand why the app can’t seem to find it. Since the app can’t find the sound bar, I can’t make any changes to the configuration of the sound bar so this app appears to be fairly useless. Also annoyingly, there is a QR code to register the sound bar but no link to any technical help to troubleshoot the app. Show more

    Alexa missing from the app
    Don’t have Amazon Alexa on the app. Cannot Find it anywhere.
