I really enjoy this app! The most important thing for me is being able to put in my own album art, song names, etc. and this app is wonderful for that! I love the way everything is laid out, simply and cleanly. The main thing I wish this app had is a sleep timer, but that doesn’t take away anything from the app! I would definitely recommend it!! I’ll give 5 stars once i can change individual song art. UPDATE: Most recent update not only allows me to change album art, but will ask if it wants the image applied to every song in the album. This is the best music playing app I have owned as of yet. I love the ability to change song and album data, search for the art of an album, and the convenience and the look of the app. There are few things I like better about Doppi, and the only things it really lacks are the shuffle next option and lyrics. Minor things it lacks: A list of all albums Background color options A genre list A most played songs list A composer list A most played songs list I highly recommend Doppler. Show more

This app is a total godsend to those of us who like to listen to our digital music collections the old fashioned way. Makes my iPhone feel like an iPod again! Some of the “quality of life” features like AirDrop sync help justify the purchase price, but the total lack of ads or any other “up-sell” garbage is what you are really paying for here and it is truly glorious. Simple, easy to use with last.fm support. Only docking one star because it’s still lacking some file format support (ogg & opus in particular).

I like this app though. With so many people going gaga for streaming, I still buy music from artists on Bandcamp. Streaming apps pay artists a pittance for creating masterpieces. It’s disgraceful. If you buy music, this is THE app to buy as well. And when you’re away from your phone or at your desk, Doppler for Mac is the next app to purchase. Plain and simple. Show more

I’ve been looking for something like this for so long - something that will simply link to my local files on my phone. I was willing to settle on a number of things, but did not expect to find the /perfect/ app for this. I immediately purchased them on both my phone and Mac. This app has everything that you need. It plays all kinds of formats including Hi-Res files. Hi-Res files are the future. This app has exceptional customer support. You can contact the app developer and he will respond. Not too many apps out there can give you a one on one technical support. This app gives you that and more. I’ve spent a while looking for an application that allows for local music without requiring some odd workarounds. The UI is excellent, easy to work with. I can pull all my music from the Files app and it handles any of the file formats I use. This app is excellent in so many ways. It easily allows you to import your music files, tag them and even sort them into playlists. It also has an awesome album art lookup feature. I highly recommend this to anyone who cares about owning their own music. Show more

I used to use Spotify for streaming and iTunes to manage a local lossless collection, but once I joined an Apple Music plan I realized that Apple has pretty much ruined local library management. You either use Apple Music and have your lossless collection re-encoded to lossy AAC or use Apple Music without a local library. With Doppler and It’s Mac counterpart, this solves most of the issues that I had. However, it is not a seamless solution if you are looking for something that works exactly how iTunes would. Syncing is a bit of a challenge and while both the iOS and Mac counterparts work wonderfully at playing music, they are separate entities. For instance, you can use the Doppler sync tool to move music to your iOS device, but metadata edited on either counterparts do not reflect elsewhere. Otherwise this is the best solution at the moment for my problem. Show more

If you like to keep and play your music on your device, and don’t like having to stream everything, this is what you’re looking for. Sure iTunes serves its purpose, but as someone with decades worth of mp3s and FLAC files, this app is wonderful. Show more
