    Best app for music
    Doppler is great. If you want an app for Mac and iPhone to play the music you already own I think this is the best option out there. Great user interface and it’s very responsive. I’m enjoying using an app that cuts out all the streaming stuff and focuses on the essentials. Keep up the great work! Show more

    An indispensable daily driver
    I keep using this app for two reasons: because it's the very best at what it does, and because every update it receives (which are frequent) makes it more stable, more beautiful, and more useful. I wish this app and its developer many years of success — they deserve it! Show more

    Great music player
    If you’re looking for a music player to play local music files on your phone: this is it. CarPlay works as well. More details: I manage my music with beets and export a subset of my library as m4a. Transfer to my phone via USB or network share. Most music player apps cannot handle this. It’s just not how most people consume music anymore I guess. This app just works. You can use Files even, and just tell Doppler to pickup the changes. App also looks modern, but isn’t packed with pointless features. Been using iOS for over a decade and it really is one of the best apps I’ve used. Show more

    Polished FLAC Player
    Doppler is the most polished FLAC player I’ve found on the App Store and the developer is responsive to feedback. If you are of a generation who’s music library is mostly ripped CDs and you’re feeling alienated by Apple Music’s preference towards streaming music, then Doppler is for you. Show more

    Very pleased!
    Doppler is a nice interface that provides both remote and in-car entertainment for a one-time modest purchase price. Ed is particularly responsive and helpful with inquiries which puts Doppler at the top of the customer service list as far as I’m concerned. Show more

    Excellent App and Great Service
    Have enjoyed app for a few months now. Easy Wi-Fi transfer of music. Excellent interface. Good music file management. Good CarPlay integration. Also great service. Had minor glitch with CarPlay in the last week or so. Emailed and got personal response. Issue was addressed quickly in most recent update. Ed at Doppler followed up to be sure I was all set. Impressive! Show more

    Best local music library app I’ve ever used.
    Doppler is by far the greatest app I’ve used for listening to my local FLAC library. It supports almost any other audio file type too which I love. The aesthetic and the whole feel of the app is incredible, so smooth, and easy to use. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of a problem the app currently has at the moment for me. The problem being that when you fast forward a song a bit or rewind, the duration counter/the time of the song is either off or completely off. One reason how I know this is, the bar for letting you know how long you have left on a song gets completely filled near the end while the song still has a couple of seconds left, the time counter will go into the negatives too sometimes. This is the major problem I’m having with Doppler at the moment because it’s important to have the timing be exact incase you need to skip to a certain part into the song. Otherwise, until that gets fixed, it is without question the best app you’ll find for listening to your local music library. You cannot beat the price and it’s worth every single cent. Show more

    Needs a Continue Playing Option for CarPlay
    This app works fine. However, the CarPlay interface is missing the essential feature of having an easy way to Continue Playing wherever it was last paused. The app itself appears to remember that, but I don’t see a way to Continue or Resume Playing within the CarPlay interface. The app also could be improved by adding an easy way to browse Genres and Albums within each Genre. Show more

    100% The best
    Have been searching for two years for an application developed for IOS that can let me imbed custom album art into my music. As a musician this is very important to me, as the album art will usually have about 12 drafts before it’s finished. I also like to look at the album art while I play test my music. Emailed the developer for support and they were very helpful also. Worth more than $6.99! Show more

    Great App!
    This is the best music app I could find to play my personal music with. I just switched over from an Android device and wanted to find something that would play my mp3 files and this is by far my favorite. Show more

    this is probably my only serious review
    this is an amazing app, been so hard to get local files on my phone because of the overload of steps, and I can do everything I could do on itunes for pc on my phone, this all is so helpful. makes it easier to listen to my remixes and stem edits as well. Show more

    Great
    The app is great overall. A beautiful and functional local player but I think it needs some UI improvements and polishments as well. Adding  music like animation to play/pause button for example. Finally thanks to the developer for bringing such a great app to us. Show more

    Saved me $500
    I’ve been using a 3rd gen iPod for decades because the music features of my iPhone made it hard or impossible to listen to my lossless music library the ways I want to. The old iPod is on its last leg and I was resigning to buying a high-end DAP to replace it when I stumbled-upon this app. I may still buy that DAP, but until then for a few bucks Doppler let’s me use my iPhone the same way to listen to my FLAC music library without needing a Mac or iTunes or a cloud service (important to me because all my computers run Linux ?). Additionally CarPlay support makes the app work seamlessly in the car (something the DAP won’t do). Finally, the developer is super friendly and helpful and I love supporting other programmers like that. If you are looking for a way to use your iPhone as a music player without a bunch of other things in the way, try Doppler, you won’t be disappointed. Show more

    The best option for local music playback
    Doppler is well-designed, easy to use, and stable. It’s far and away the best option and it keeps improving with each update. Features I like: + The interface shows album artwork and loads it quickly + Multiple options for music import including the file browser + Optionally shows your Apple Music library as well + Music queueing options + Library search + Changelogs are available in the app + Good options for sending feedback to the developer + Proper Apple CarPlay support Features I’d love to see: - Replay gain support for albums/songs - Gesture based playback controls on the now-playing screen - The option to hide the music import menu into the settings menu - Alphabetical/phoenetic organization for other languages such as Japanese. For example, albums or songs starting with “あ“ are currently categorized under “#” instead of “A” - Customizable UI accent and icon colors Show more

    Perfect Music Player
    Came across this gem via Macstories, and it does not disappoint! I love that I can separate my ‘owned’ music from the music app (which I’ve never been a fan of), and the player runs super smooth and is easy on the eyes. I also installed the software on my Mac, and it’s just as great there as well, with fantastic integration with the iOS app. Keep up the great work! Show more

    By far the best option for managing music on your phone

    Premium monthly to play simple files
    I know there are many apps like this that do the same thing, charging more or maybe less, but the entire practice of charging a renewal service for an application that only is going to load files locally stored on the device or in other applications is in my opinion criminal. If this application were even $20 with a one time fee that would make sense, anything one time fee wise would make sense, but again a renewing service for somethings so unbelievably simple is wrong. An alternative I would suggest that also charges for premium, but does not force it on you is evermusic Show more
