Something wrong with the F Chord
I’ve been playing piano for around four years and I decided to play some ukulele. I downloaded this app and things were going pretty good but I had to strum the f chord dozens of times to get it right and I was doing it the right way too. Please fix this. Show more

    Strum Louder Problem
It keeps on telling me to "Strum Louder" continuosly. I strum so loud purposly just for that. So loud it feels like my strings are about to fall off. Then it keeps saying "Strum Louder." I strum lous enough, does this app want my strings to fall off? I like it, please fix this, I don‘t want to destroy my beloved instrument. Thank You! Show more

    Would be 5 stars but...
This app is really great! It taught me to play the Ukulele. I would rate this five stars if you did not have to pay for a bunch of songs. The amount of songs they give you at first will keep you busy for awhile. Also I wish you could scroll back in the songs to review tricky parts. Other than that it is a great app! Show more

    Subscription?
I’ve been using this app for the past month and it has been such a great help, I’ve even suggested it to several of my friends and everything, but now I have to pay for the content? I get it, this app takes developers and all that but come on. To go from free to $10/mo without even so much as a warning is kind of ridiculous. I’ll have to find a different app I guess Show more

    I love this app!
I’ve been depressed for a while and I just started to pick my uku back up. I could never play before but with this app it makes it makes learning easy and enjoyable, free music therapy. I would pay for the subscription but I so broke ??. Love it anyway, definitely a keep. Show more

Good app but can’t pick up my chords
I love the app and the songs, however, it doesn’t pick up 90% of my chords even when I PLAY THEM RIGHT AND ON KEY. It’s sooooo frustrating. I’ve tried on different phones and tablets and came to the conclusion that it’s the app and not the mics on the devices. I have to play the chords slow and obnoxiously loud for the app to pick anything up. Please fix!!! Show more

    It’s good
I’ve been playing the uku for about a year and a half and I flew through these songs pretty quickly(mostly cuz I already knew most of them) This app is great, I love the in app tuner! And it’s pretty fun to do when I want to pass time but can you add a section where once you pass like lvl 1 or 2 there’s a whole song library that you can choose from, like you can pick the song you want to learn? That would be really cool! Also can you add songs by Dolly Parton and Carpenters pls they are my fav artists EVER! (Especially the Carpenters!! <3) pls add some twenty one pilots songs too, I will rate higher if u add more songs!! thank you!! Show more

    Good, but...
Many ukes have a low G. Would be helpful if the app could accommodate those users too

    ♡︎???? ??♥︎
This app has blown me away! I ???? ??❣︎ For about a year I have been trying to learn the ukulele, I have tried multiple approaches: ★YouTube-you don’t get any feed back and are left to wonder if you got it wrong. ★Kala ukulele- it works good, but it seems to be more geared toward those who are already aware of...a bit more than basic understanding. *not me* And the list goes on....these are just the major ones that seem(ed) to work best. That was until I found this app. ♥︎Thank You so much! This has been the first app I have downloaded that a) doesn’t ask me to sign up first thing (or at all) b) thrown billions of adds at me (thank you!) c) Asᴋᴇᴅ ғᴏʀ ᴀ sᴜʙsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ!!!!!! FINALLY an app that you don’t have to put up with all of the “limitations” because you don’t pay. It has a very clean design, and it also is what I would consider a real beginner app. Yes it can be a bit frustrating to get the timing right, but that’s on my part. You get clear instructions, great feedback, and an over all amazing app. One thing, PLEASE ADD MORE SONGS! I have not finished them all yet, but am dreading the day. I have finally found the app of my ukulele dreams! This is an beautifully designed app! It’s great that you FINALLY don’t have to pay or have to put up with adds. ꧁Aᴍᴀᴢɪɴɢ ᴀᴘᴘ❣︎ ???% Recommend!꧂ Show more

    Good for beginners
I’ve had the app for awhile now and before it used to be really bad but now there are better songs and they are put into better categories. With the newest update there is baby shark and couple other songs, but when I want to learn let’s say baby shark it does the previous song that I just learned. Other than that I think that it’s a great app for beginners. Show more

    Almost great
This is exactly the ukulele app I've been looking for! I hate the other ukulele apps that just show video lessons. This is truly interactive, more like a game, with real-time feedback when you hit the chord, and final metrics on the session. The problems are: (1) There are only a couple beginner songs, and every song is locked until you master (80% score) the previous one, so it's easy to get stuck on one song and have no alternatives to practice. It seems to have several intermediate/hard songs but that does you no good if you're a beginner; (2) The "tempo" control in the screenshots doesn't exist, and there's no strumming practice phase, so in the 3rd song you're suddenly thrown into a very complex strumming pattern with no practice or ramp-up, and so if you're a beginner you just get stuck there. I'd certainly pay to unlock features and songs in this app. I avoid subscriptions but this app has the right approach so it's even worth a short term subscription. The recent update removed the ability to hear the music at the same time as playing, which was very helpful for matching the rhythm (just seeing it on the screen is not as good as actually hearing it), so I hope that feature gets restored in a future update. The "reference" is fine but not as a substitute for hearing the chord as you're playing. The recent update is super buggy too. If you restart then you can get two different practice sessions running simultaneously (you can hear both going at the same time), the buttons get disabled randomly (e.g. metronome), then you have kill the app and restart it, and then you lose all the ratings (it resets to your previous session, I guess), it's really messed up. Work in progress
App needs more development. I know enough about the ukulele to want to learn more. This app has a reasonable interface, and room to become everything a student of any age or spoken language could want, but it is still early days I think. I figured out how to start without any guidance, but actually controlling not so easy. I was practicing the most basic song. Not satisfied with my effort, I wanted to repeat the lesson, but when I repeated, the metronome tempo dropped quite a lot and I had no control over it. Back arrow was non-functioning so I could not return to the main menu. I guess basic lesson includes an arrow for strum direction, but how to read this stuff, including how to read tabs for first-timers, needs to be explained. I would like to learn to pluck melodies and well as strum chords, but that option is not there yet. The app uses the microphone, necessary for feedback, but there no statement that the microphone use is disabled when the app is closed - this security issue must be addressed for me to keep such an app installed. I hope the dev keeps working - lots of potential here. Show more

    Needs work
Good concept. But with no instructions it makes no sense to me at all.
